    Thank you outstanding video capturing all this piano can do. I had wanted to learn how to play and after some research my husband purchased this piano for me ]last Christmas in 2022. I played around with the app the first week. I then launched into trying a lot of free music lessons on TH-cam, learning about how to read music and trying to learn a few songs for next Christmas. It was enough to just use piano setting during this. 10 months later I stumbled across this when I was trying to see if it came with back tracks to play along with silent night and I forgot and didn't realize all the features. This video gave an excellent overview. Now I'm going back to the using the app. If you are a beginner and you buy this piano.

    Thank you for this review. I had to sell my beloved Yamaha baby grand when I moved and just want something to practice on while in my apartment until I purchase another home and grand. I don’t need anything too fancy, but as a more advanced pianist, I need something with weighted keys, expression, etc. This seems perfect. Will check out the 60 and 90x too just for comparison, but leaning toward this one. Thanks for the wide variety of playing. As I prefer classical and pop, jazz tutorials do little for me. You explained things very clearly and it was a pleasure listening to you. Thanks for the review!

    I don't have a huge amount of musical experience but I am a good researcher. My goal was to get the best piano emulation I could at the entry level price point. For this purpose, nothing matches the Roland. Not even close. For other purpose, it probably falls off, I am 100 percent good with my choice. If you have some other goal than learning acoustic piano touch and technique, maybe some other instrument would be better for you. Keep in mind, the keyboard is where the player interacts with the instrument. All other things have to made secondary to the keyboard action. Notice that I used the word "emulation." No digital instrument is an imitation of something else, but rather is an instrument of its own accord. If your purpose is to use the digital keyboard as tool to develop the skills necessary to play some other instrument, an acoustic piano or a church organ for example, what you need to look for is emulation.

    Thank you for the best demonstration of the Roland FP30X on the internet! I watched a myriad of demonstrations, some from Roland product specialists and other dealers, before watching yours. I just bought an FP10 primarily for my son (though now, my wife and I, will learn, too). I started to doubt my choice of FP10 (which I ordered on 29.11.23 (two days ago)). I realised that although the FP10 is a great beginner piano, at some point we’d need to upgrade.
    Additionally, the FP30X is more feature rich than the FP10. So I convinced myself last night, to cancel the FP10, and this morning, I ordered the FP30X. Your review will now convince my wife my decision, despite costing us a couple of hundred pounds more, was the correct decision. The way you played well known examples, rather than doing scales or banging a few keys, like other reviewers, really showcases the value in this piano. If I’d known about Bonners, I’d have come and bought from you. Well done on an excellent demonstration and review.

    • @robintyson591
      @robintyson591 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Great decision. More voices, rhythms, higher volume output and other features. But the main thing for me is that you can get a beautiful stand AND three pedals. That you can never get on the FP-10. That said, I personally have an FP-10 at my mother's home (I visit her quite often), but my main piano at home here is a Kawai CN29. Love them both.

    I currently have an FP10 but I now want to upgrade to either an FP30X or 60X but I am struggling to decide which is best for my needs. I am self-taught and not a professional player, I just play for my own amusement. All I really want is a nice acoustic grand, Rhodes, strings, pads and some percussion. The price is not an issue but I don't want to get bogged down with too much technology, buttons, settings and the like. I had a Korg SV1 once but I never played it as I was overwhelmed with it.

    I'm getting one of these and it was great to hear "Song For Guy"; played it many times myself. If any one thing solidified my decision, it was your performance. That is exactly what I want this keyboard for, although I'm a vocalist also (I know, there is a phrase at the end). So you showed me it can do what I've been looking for. Of course it's can't replace an acoustic piano, but it does the next best thing in this price range. I just haven't found a salesperson enthusiastic enough to insist I buy one, but I'm trying. Went in looking for the FP-10 or FP-30, but they only had the 30X, but didn't bother trying to sell me this one, and I found they are on commission. I could sell this on its features over the FP-30 in minutes to most anyone. When I find that salesperson, I'll buy one. Thanks for the demo.

      @@MeneerWu I did buy one 4 months ago. I love my Roland FP 30X. I love it more each day I practice and play on it. It has the authentic sound and feel of the acoustic piano I owned years ago. Don't be fooled by the low price tag of $850 which I paid for mine. It is as good as any keyboard costing double and triple the price.

      @@richard135b7 That's awesome to hear! I have heard some horror stories about the black keys making a loud clicking noise after a couple weeks, have you experienced anything like that?

      @@MeneerWu I think it comes down to a bit of luck or maybe how you use it...there seems to be a direct relation to grease in that matter and also quick fixes can be found on the internet (which - surprisingly - works...though the solution is temporary and the clicking noise may return after a few months time...at which point you can redo the same steps and it will fix itself again...so just a minor inconvenience in my opinion)

    Yes, the Roland DP-2 foot switch used for various mudical devuces is nice to have included instead of none. But the DP-10 is a professional type damper pedal eith a swing out rubber pad your heel goes on to better keepnit in place on a slippery floor.

    With split keyboard when you had the upright bass sound on the left, is there a way to turn up the bass split in volume so it's a little less quiet? Or is it a matter of adjusting how hard you hit the key?

    Best review I've seen. If at a later date I want to add the wooden stand and 3 pedals, is that possible.

    • @mickwill131298
      @mickwill131298 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I believe it is, I've seen them sold separately on the internet. Look it up. Both the FP30 and FP30X use the same model as well, which means if you have one theres no need for another (unless you want to). Also, from what I've heard, the pedals are attached to the wooden stand so I believe you cant buy JUST the triple pedals or the wooden stand...they come as a whole

      Definitely possible! I got the Roland bench too lol. People say I’m too matchy-matchy, but I think it looks good.
