Sydney is so beautiful and well-spoken. She's a really good storyteller and maintains conversations well too. Glad I got to watch her for an extended amount of time in this format as I haven't been in her streams yet.
I don't think I've ever seen a streamer with her numbers that replies to chat so often, she really makes an effort to do that and it's kind of amazing how she can keep up even when the chat is going hella fast

Honestly, as an indigenous person, it made me really happy that the indigenous women missing cases was mentioned in the podcast. It’s just the fact that just mentioning it would give it more attention and possibly make it more noticeable.

With Syd joining offlinetv I've begun to notice what a genuinely awesome human being she is. It's a breath of fresh air if you will. I'm happy she joined. She's really wholesome and I love her voicing her opinions on different aspects of life like recycling, composting, taking care of yourself and real issues like murdered indigenous women. And it's cool she's using her platform to voice her opinions. Gotta show some love to Syd 🙌🏼

Bruno is the family member who ventured outside of family expectations and in a way was ostracized for doing so, hence-we don’t talk about Bruno. I’m pretty sure the movie is about generational traumas especially in Latin families. Bruno went on his own path and in the family that’s considered going against the family. Mirabel doesn’t have a power because she’s meant to break the pattern. And the grandmother in no way could have known the harm that was unfolding because in her heart her expectations were what’s best for the family.
At least that’s how I interpreted it, coming from a Latin family.

If anyone is curious who it was talking trash about sykkuno. It was Froste. He deleted the tweets than played the victim and claims he was getting attacked but provided no proof.
Dude went completely out of his way to trash talk Sykkuno and his stans directly, got a reaction, deleted/unliked the tweets and then goes “SEE look how crazy stans are!!” He’s a pro at it, has done it with other fanbases before.
Yeah, I can vouch for that. I remember the day he tweeted about relating a certain artist to covid.

I still appreciate the brief segment on the Sykk drama. I saw it through Jake Lucky's tweet where he also showed Brooke's death threat as two examples of how the internet can be.. As if Brooke receiving a death threat from doing absolutely nothing is exactly the same as a grown man (while no one should ever get pics of their house sent to them and that level of being a stan is never ok) attacking another person on Twitter for no reason and having that be the unfortunate although undeserved result
he said it was a burner account that sent him the pic. it could literally be anybody who got beef with him taking the opportunity of the situation. but he immediately claims its a sykkuno fan. he never provided any screenshot either. at the end of the day, it's easy to just blame it all on "stan culture" and he can continue being an asshole mocking fans on twitter.
Brookes seemed more believable and honestly felt bad for her the froste dude did it to himself and never posted a screenshot or the @ of the burner account so to me froste just wanted attention

The amount of times he insulted someone just to get a rise out of the fans/stans shows how desperate he is to stay relevant.
The torture of Junko is one of the most horrifying acts (committed by a small group) ever documented, and one of the scary things about it is that it was committed by 4 high schools boys and the parents of the boy whose house they kept her in knew everything

this is just one of my favorite episodes, all the talk about the fanfics was so relatable, and the pauses at times were so awkwardly funny that i love it because i always find myself in situations like that whenever i talk to people LOL you all are so eloquent with the points you are trying to get across that i aspire to be like you all

Once Jodi said she wanted to freeze her eggs, all I can think of was giving them a rundown on why the cost is high. Also the 6k -20k it’s always gonna be a range depending on the person. Monitoring sessions, medications, how many eggs are retrieved, how many eggs you want to have biopsy, if you want anesthesia or not, and storage fees and that’s not including when we do the transfer
Spoilers for Encanto:
Dolores probably knows Mirabel is insecure and just bluntly says "She doesn't have any powers."
Mirabel is looking for Bruno, but at the end of the movie she says "I heard him every day" so she could've just led her to him. She hears everything.
Dolores also overhears Mirabel and her father and is the main catalyst for everyone knowing. Even outside of the family, which causes unrest in the house and thus Casita.
I do not think she's actively the antagonist, but I believe she could've solved the entire problem a lot faster.
Like imagine knowing for years that Bruno is there missing his family and she says nothing? That's cold
I could hear them talk for HOURS, this was very entertaining

it all went downhill after yahoo bought it tbh, their decisions are always questionable... i remember them wanting to make tumblr into this video-focused platform which is like ??? i can assure you no one thinks of videos when thinking about tumblr (even most of the porn were gifs)
From what I remembered it was because Tumblr was removed from the app store because of explicit content
Because of that, I have to see Encanto ships on Twitter, and have it explained to me why loli porn is actually creative freedom and not weird at all
I hate Tumblr for that.
I'm a guy so take this with a grain of salt, but I feel like as a general rule, don't compliment women on something you wouldn't compliment a guy for as well, unless you know the person well enough.
As a guy you probably wouldn't tell another guy he has nice thighs or boobs or butt. So it's then painfully obvious you're only complimenting those things because of sexual reasons which will make women uncomfortable.
As well as that you should always try to compliment things that they have real control over. Women (at least not easily) can't change the size or shape of their body, so complimenting them on those things is like saying, "hey, nice genetics". Compliment a woman on her outfit, her hair, her makeup, etc. and make sure it's not a sexual compliment. For example, "Your makeup looks amazing" or "I love that dress you look fire", rather than, "that dress makes you look sexy".
It will show that you're actually paying attention to them and not just viewing them as a walking sexual object.

ok fellow Colombian American here, the reason why I LOVE "We Don't Talk About Bruno" (outside of the classic Colombian musical style) is because it perfectly captures Colombian family culture! every family has secrets and stories that are told about absent and distant uncles, aunts, cousins, etc., even though "HEY, DON'T TALK ABOUT *BLANK*!" they are literally all pleading to not mention Bruno, while talking about their own perceptions of Bruno!!! it's truly a great song and deserves all the praise 😊
As a fanfic writer the fic segment got me both really hyped and appalled by even the idea of them finding the fics about them on ao3 and wattpad
Lily talking about the Junko case really brought back memories of when I learned about that case. It’s one of the most horrible things I’ve ever read about. I purposely ignore true crime TikTok’s and stuff now because they’ve totally changed how I see every single thing and has made me so paranoid

about we don't talk about bruno being so popular of a song, i can try my take on why:
- good and addictive song, definitely one of the most memorable song in the movie
- easy to sing and dance along with
- different people singing, and then near the end where everything just blends, was such an amazing thing to witness
- musicals tend to generate a huge following, and with those comes huge replays from people that have watched them, sharing their fave songs or songs that just get stuck in their heads
- lots of character was showcased on the scene, like felix just happy to be with pepa, dolores' part of the song is soft cause of her abilities, or that dolores was trying to say how bad bruno's situation was, then camillo suddenly comes and mention exaggerated features of bruno that paints him as this villainous character
- also lots of hidden details like bruno vibing at the bg of dolores' part
- lastly, it's just an iconic song
yeah i think i became a bit passionate about this lol
also, although i did not watch the movie in different languages, i did listen to the music in different languages. currently, i only listened to spanish and japanese. i just got a bit giddy when lily sang the song in different language cause i know for a fact that i listened to that XD
Regarding the Murder of Junko Furuta that Lily mentioned at around 1 hour 6 minutes, the main perpetrator Hiroshi Miyano was sentenced to only 17 years of prison for the rape and torture of Junko Furuta, later extended to 20 years after a Judge appeal. He was 18 a the time, the other 3 boys who were all similarly 16-17 years old only got

I love true crime and the thing Lily said about the second location has to do with that the police will search your last seen location and its surroundings. If you get to a second location they won't be able to find you as quickly because the second location could be anywhere.

Watching the day after my egg retrieval. They absolutely knock you out for the procedure. About 15k for procedure plus 5k for meds for the cycle. Usually 1-2k a year to store eggs/embryos

That’s actually a good point. If you’re going to compliment their body, it’d be nice you if you focus on something they put effort like their outfit, makeup, or hair.
@@Celestifa exactly. Or if you're going to compliment something, it doesn't even have to be physical if it's someone you actually know (this goes for women and men). Like, I've had someone tell me that every time they get a message from me it puts a smile on their face, and that felt like an infinitely better compliment than the times I've been told I have nice eyes.
Absolutely I don't want to hear anything about my things or boobs unless we are in a relationship already and I'm being insecure bitch about them lmao. Something I liked of this event is that they included streamers from other platforms and not just Twitch., Like other streamer events. I mean yeah Twitch is a big part of the streaming communities but is nice to see others included.

Man Brodin seems like he'd be such a great conversationalist. You know how you sometimes talk to people and it feels like the conversation keeps getting lost? Like they're paying attention but only to the main idea and they can't keep track of the details? I don't know how to explain it but I feel like I could actually talk to Brodin and he wouldn't be the type to get offended at being challenged, and would be interested in a variety of subjects.
