24:07 i really agree with sydney's perspective. true, as a zombie, you could totally be sentient and still be able to think and move around with an impossibly powerful urge to eat people, maybe even evolve with time like brodin wanted to do, but you could also be fully conscious the whole time. you'd just be wandering, watching your body do things you'd never want to, and just be suffering with no free will for possibly weeks on end (i think even after like 1 week you'd decay, but in an 'apocalypse', i'm assuming zombie's are a bit more powerful than just animated corpses). i mean, preferably, i'd try to find a cure and do everything possible *not* to turn, but if it's inevitable, i'd rather just be killed by people i'm close with and die with, as sydney put it, 'my human dignity'. if it's been around a year and we have ample evidence to suggest that zombies are in control of their actions and not acting purely on instinct, i might take my chances to turn and just run far away from anyone i remotely even like. also depends on whether the zombies are actually powerful, like if they're super fast or strong, or if they're just the normal ones that are walking around, completely braindead and frail. i'd rather die as a human than live as a frail zombie, even if i can think. this is all hypothetical though, i'm still incredibly scared of dying, so if this were real i might just be too scared to die and fail to ask anyone to kill me. then, of course, turn into a zombie and accidentally slaughter everyone around me or just die after turning anyway.
bro toast was so cultured with shrek. shrek 1: iconic, revolutionary shrek 2: I NEED A HERO, LIVIN' LA VIDA LOCA shrek 3: we dont talk about this one shrek 4: conclusion
To Jodi: it was revolutionary because not only for the subversion of expectations through Shrek and Fiona, but also it started the trend of pop culture and fairytale/fantasy being mashed up that affected like the rest of 2000s culture
@@KiwiCrisis It was the first animated kiddy looking film that was done in that style, for the whole family and actually almost aimed much more at adults, played with the classic themes in a sort of satirical way, was self aware, and broke the "magic" of animation and all the related tropes. It just wasn't at all normal back then, and was unexpected. On top of that, the computer graphics were pretty amazing even if there had already been a few others. The main thing is that it was revolutionary because it did something that really hadn't been done before, certainly not in the main stream. People didn't even expect it to be the way it was and went to see it thinking it would be just another fun animated film and wonder at the cool graphics and a bit of Eddie Murphy and co, but what they got was the Disney princess killing birds with their singing being so awful and then taking those birds' eggs to make breakfast for the unwilling hero who wasn't really hero at all. The parody also wasn't common in this form at the time. And yet it managed to pull the strings in the end to also work at a more emotional level and be just overall a great story as well as funny.
I lost my virginity in a secluded stairwell in my high school, an hour before classes officially started, senior year. I love it when you guys can talk and just have a different type of 11:07 conversation about all these things Valentine’s Day before getting into the ACTUAL TOPICS OF THE DAY😂❤❤❤Thanks for talking about whatever y’all feel like sharing ! 💓💓💓💓
Love how they talk about ants becoming zombies at 16:00 and say it's never been made a thing when The Last of Us is about Cordyceps which IRL is in ANTS.
Grew up in a low-income town home community with lots of kids. We use to get together, make a stack of our Pokémon cards we want to trade and line up far away. Then we'd take turn chucking our sandals at the stack - you get to keep whatever cards you knock off the stack. Another version, is less aggressive, instead of chucking sandals from afar, you blow at the stack from a specified distance.
With the Pokemon thing, the PSA grading is really important. Like the difference between PSA 10 and 9 can be 7-10x in price, and 2x from 9 to 8 and so on. Having a PSA 10 just lying around is VERY unlikely (so I would be surprised if the card Jodi's friend had lying around was worth 20k, probably closer to $2000-$4000 depending on if it's first edition or holo, so maybe less). Edit: Also! The Pikachu Illustrator card talked about isn't an estimated value, it actually SOLD for $5.275 million (whether or not it'll increase or decrease in value is yet to be seen), but it's largely that expensive because it's the only known PSA 10 of an already insanely rare card (a PSA 7 sold for 900k, which is insane).
Man Sydney is already so beautiful, but her being so well-spoken and articulate with her words and thoughts really adds to her attractiveness (to me at least).
18:30 I'd rather have blind zombies as they will still need sound to find you. Otherwise we can always you sound to our advantage and use sound as a distraction to escape. If they were deaf, imagine a horde of zombies in an area and they all see you, then you are basically screwed.
@@theun6073 Not everyone will have guns. Also ammo might be a problem. Some may mutate to be a smart zombie and vision advantage could be deadly. I mean it's just my opinion honestly. I'd rather have blind than deaf.
I agree with the making charity profitable as long as that profits goes back to charity as well. And i think it’s very very good to get a lot of eyes on charity events to motivate other people to do it too!
Nah, because that also means you aren’t getting any money for yourself/straight up losing a LOT of money and people might not even do it in the first place if they had to go with your plan. Let’s say a dude wanted to do something really nice via charity that cost $100,000 but that would be a strain on his bank account. If he would be able to make a profitable video that cover the $100,000 and then some, everyone should win. The charity gets money, the TH-camr offsets the cost and earns some extra for his effort that went into executing the idea/making a entertaining video, and the viewers get free entertainment. (Separate from my reply to your comment) I hate how the internet acts like people have to be saints and completely altruistic when it comes to this stuff. At the end of the day, the charity gets money/people’s blindness is gone; end of story.
The problem most people have about the Mr Beast thing is that the surgery that had given them their sight back is so expensive they couldn't afford it otherwise.
There are a lot of unreasonable people on twitter and youtube. Mr. Beast didn't do anything wrong but the system is extremely fucked up in the US. It was unnecessary hardship alleviated by Mr. Beasts youtube money but could be handled better with tax dollars for everyone.
The issue is to do that level of thing you eed a lot of money and you can't do these things as you wish, if you don't have that level of a money source. I personally think that if it help people let him put it on the internet with their consent ofcourse. Because you know as someone who is going through things in life its really helpfull and cheers me up, inspires me to do better so I can do something like this for others as well
I mean fishing, just like any other, is a hobby.. and when you’re soaking in your hobby time you don’t have time to go to other outings. At the end of the day, it’s all about the passion they have for their hobby.. a painter might have tons of paintings, etc.. coming from another fisherman who’s addicted to just spending time by the water and trying to catch or understand the waters. I’m glad my girl loves me because I had fishing photos and I don’t regret them because it’s such a big hobby of mine. 😅
I feel like as long as we aren't blindly assuming that every charitable act makes that person a good person, there shouldn't be anything wrong with doing nice things for "selfish" reasons. We should be able to do nice things for each other and feel good about it. Everyone else is just a hater (easy for me to say, I'm not internet famous). If Zuckerberg donates a lot of money, I'll consider it a nice act but still consider him a loser for all the other reasons lol I liked Mr Beasts video and people's frustrations with the American system are justified but not on him/he doesn't deserve flack for it. Donating with your name ought to be socially acceptable
27:21 I feel like an important part of this conversation on "curing" blindness is ableism. Yes, being blind is a disability and forces blind people to navigate life differently than sighted people, but they can still have fulfilling lives nonetheless as blind people. I have horrible eyesight and am legally blind without my glasses, so I have looked at how blind people go about life bc it's a possibility for me. I say that to disclose that, while I'm not fully blind, I do experience difficulties pertaining to seeing the world around me. Anyway, I personally feel that a lot of people perceive blindness as a death sentence, so to speak. But blind people just have to live differently. I think Mr. Beast could have maybe donated to resources for blind people, which would've helped even more people. Resources like infrastructure such as crosswalks that have braille and speakers to indicate when to cross. Maybe donating to organizations that train seeing eye dogs. But those things aren't as flashy and lots of people believe blindness has to be cured in order to enjoy a full life. *Disclaimer: I don't watch Mr. Beast and haven't actually watched the referenced video, I've seen snippets here and there and most of my information is from secondary and tertiary sources* To anyone reading this, if you wanna check out a TH-camr who is blind, Molly Burke has a channel and she's made videos about what life is like for her as a blind person (she wasn't born blind) and she also does "regular" TH-cam videos too, I believe.
You make a lot of valid points here, but I can also understand Mr Beast's approach. He monetizes his charitable acts in order to be able to fund that charity. Once you have made the decision to monetize it you are forced to make it as interesting to your audience as you can, and there's just no way to make donating the money to a charity that provides resources for the blind engaging.
Okay … what really got me hurting in the stomach from laughing !!!….. was 1:10 this part when Brodin says most people are born in November because of Valentine’s Day 😂😂 And then Toast…. His realization…🤯🤣💓💓💓💓

Posting after watching it completely, just some of my comments, - Gengar is actually shown as smaller than Ash so i kinda guessed Gengar was like 5ft. - In the last of us, you actually turn to a zombie in just hours, depends on where you get bitten - about the mr beast vid, id rather people do something good for clout, than people do bad things. I dont care if it is for clout or not, if its doing something good for the world, then its fine. - shrek is a cult classic. Its not the best movie, but like toast said, it was one of the first animated cult classics - lost my virginity at 16 and it wasnt my choice. Thanks for the very fun podcast guys! Cheers!
I tried to skip past the last of us spoiler but without a timestamp I didn't know how far to skip forward, ended up quitting the vid for the time being. Otherwise big fan of OTV. No hate, no drama just don't want spoilers. Edit: 13:12 - 20:56
I honestly don't know why toast would relate that Chinese New Year story. I like to think good things about the people who make content I enjoy. He's a man of means his only other option wasn't sleeping on the street. Considering right now covid is the third leading cause of death in America, the callousness of spreading it around a busy Hotel is impossible to defend.
Because thats who toast is. He is absolutely honest about his actions. Most of us would probably do what he did. But we wouldn’t be honest about it to other people because we fear how we gonna be looked ay. Unless the argument is you are an influencer so you should be careful of what message you put out, which is a reasonable argument. I dont think if anyone is being honest with themselves would not do what toast did. Self righteousness is very annoying when it is not backed up by actions.
For the Mr Beast thing, I always knew that there would issues with it cause of the phrasing. There are many blind people who don’t feel the need to be “cured” or that there’s something “wrong with them”. I think the video speaks for itself in terms of the positive impact it has but ya…. That’s my 2 cents as someone who works in social media
29:03 i see it as its all self serving but Mr Beast does it at such a level where he is legitimately changing peoples lives for the better so I can forgive him. Also alot of those other videos come off very predatory compared to his videos
Some of the members of DSG stream right? Maybe the esports org could branch out into something similar to OTV (but esports centered) and then (if it didn't give away strategies for competitors) content revolving team practices could be turned into content to help raise money for the org. Just some of my brainstorming.
The reason why Shrek was revolutionary is because it was inclusive, both in diversity(different animals and mythogical creatures, which could be seen as different people from different nations), growth and development of characters. It was one of the most relatable for a wider range group of people around the world.
Toast thinking his golden years were back in his Hearthstone pro days, despite becoming such a massively successful content creator :(. Don't leave us Toast

42:13 great way to make money for content creators for sure ! 👍🏽 I will
Do that one day !! 👍🏽👍🏽 wait. A minute and you’ll see TOAST GETTING HYPED UP BY BOTH LADIES FOR 2 MINS & it’s out of this whole world of a stream 👍🏽👍🏽💓💓💓💓
Posting after watching it completely, just some of my comments,
- Gengar is actually shown as smaller than Ash so i kinda guessed Gengar was like 5ft.
- In the last of us, you actually turn to a zombie in just hours, depends on where you get bitten
- about the mr beast vid, id rather people do something good for clout, than people do bad things. I dont care if it is for clout or not, if its doing something good for the world, then its fine.
- shrek is a cult classic. Its not the best movie, but like toast said, it was one of the first animated cult classics
- lost my virginity at 16 and it wasnt my choice.
Thanks for the very fun podcast guys! Cheers!
And who would have thought that months after, these two will be signed under DSG.
Lol love these podcasts
lesss gooo new podcast with toast!
The last podcast still isn't available on the podcast feed on Pocket Casts, have they stopped the audio versions?
we need a director cam of brodin!
I tried to skip past the last of us spoiler but without a timestamp I didn't know how far to skip forward, ended up quitting the vid for the time being. Otherwise big fan of OTV. No hate, no drama just don't want spoilers.
Edit: 13:12 - 20:56
So DSG should be 100T the apparel company who signs content creators and has a few teams
Wait but like i love those red boots, i think everyone should wear it😂 we would look like cartoons 👀🤣💗
Love how the staff gave up putting timestamps after the last of us spoiler
OTV special DSG podcast when? 😂💖
Option three, only animals are zombies but they all unify to attack you.
yk the more i watch these podcasts the more i realize i end up watching them at 3 am
24:36 brodin is just like me fr fr
For the Mr Beast thing, I always knew that there would issues with it cause of the phrasing. There are many blind people who don’t feel the need to be “cured” or that there’s something “wrong with them”. I think the video speaks for itself in terms of the positive impact it has but ya…. That’s my 2 cents as someone who works in social media
Jodi was so right. I don’t have pictures and like my only ones include a fish picture XD
someone has to listen to these back before posting
29:03 i see it as its all self serving but Mr Beast does it at such a level where he is legitimately changing peoples lives for the better so I can forgive him. Also alot of those other videos come off very predatory compared to his videos
Wait what happened to the Shang-Chi segments?
the instant swipe left is anyone that does the dog filter selfies.
No timestamps?
Some of the members of DSG stream right? Maybe the esports org could branch out into something similar to OTV (but esports centered) and then (if it didn't give away strategies for competitors) content revolving team practices could be turned into content to help raise money for the org. Just some of my brainstorming.
All of them stream once in a while- Exalt the most. They're all very entertaining
thx for the spoiler alert
Context: Demon1 got poached by EG while trialing for DSG, and DSG got exalt from the nation
The reason why Shrek was revolutionary is because it was inclusive, both in diversity(different animals and mythogical creatures, which could be seen as different people from different nations), growth and development of characters. It was one of the most relatable for a wider range group of people around the world.
SYD TOAST JODI PODCAST LETS GOOOOOOOO
Toast thinking his golden years were back in his Hearthstone pro days, despite becoming such a massively successful content creator :(. Don't leave us Toast
