- Good afternoon to all of my favourite friends and spectacular followers. Thank you so much first of all for making some time to watch my video, it is extremely appreciated. Right on to today's video. I made a budget bushcraft cook kit and had loads of fun using it in the woods. I cooked up some bacon for a absolutely mouthwatering sandwich and brewed up a stunning pot of cowboy coffee to enjoy in the company of all the bird song. Hope you enjoy today's content guys. Details for the challenge and give away are in the vid. Take it easy guys. Till the next one stay crafty.

Hello mate. Interesting video. I started off just buying my gear, then why I got into watching others on TH-cam and seeing what they were knocking up in their man caves I started making things. Reflecting on it I really enjoyed the making and the testing as you must have.
I blame those channels showing off their wonderful gear for corrupting me and taking me back to the dark side and buying expensive gear again.
I remember this one particularly nefarious bushcrafty guy coming online and singing the praises of the Solo stove 1800 bush pot and the Evernew titanium alchohol stove. Ring any bells? Lmao.
I see you've gone past 1000 subscribers now, Well done, couldn't happen to a nicer guy. Now if you'll just pop my £50 voucher in the post...lol
Really enjoying seeing you getting back out man. Be safe and be lucky.
😂😆😂 bloody hell Wol! That's going back some! I think they were some of my first ever videos 😂 must be nearly 9 years ago now. I still have alot of that gear as you know and it has done me very well. I might do a compilation vid of some of my oldest gear to see how it held up. There is just a massive sense of appreciation and excitement when making your own gear...... especially when It works 😂 There will be a little something winging it's way in the post for you Wol and its vintage! It did briefly show in this vid, but you will have to wait and see 🙈 😂 Thanks for stopping by bud. Have a great evening. Take it easy.
Cracking video again Ste nice wee set up really enjoyed it 👍
Thanks very much for making time for me bud. Have a great evening. Take care.

😂 Hey there Broseph always a pleasure bud. The sandwich was honestly nirvana 😂 The ground mat has definitely upped my bushcraft game 😆 Thanks for dropping in bud.
Another great video. The cook kit is very much like the one I started off with. I hope someone makes good use of it, as it is cheap, practical and works great.
Hey Mark great to hear from you pal, hope you are well. Yeah nothing beats the first home made cook set for bushcraft 😂 I remember just seeing flames in a sieve years ago thinking wow! 😂 I know it will go to a good home. Have a great rest of your week Mark. Take it easy.

Yes please count me in. Would love to try it in future outhings.
Like your clip.
Hiya buddy sorry, but this comp was closed a while ago. Thanks for dropping in take care.
THE POT ALONE IS PERFECT . 😁😁😁
It's a quality little billy pot isn't it! I'm not sure what it would have been used for, but I do know it was destined for a cook kit 😂
@@BushcraftWithSteOutdoors I think that style of pot should become the standard . You can tell the quality simply by the thickness of the steel . Most bushcraft pots are thin . 😁😁😁
@@cavemanNCC1701 And my little wooden nub just makes it 😂
Shopping at M&S you must be doing alright Ste 😂
I only went in to stand next to rich people and smell their hair. My Mrs had a £5 post code lottery welfare voucher, so she went in flashing it at everyone just to let them know we were there on purpose! Thank goodness for that voucher m8! Without that there would have been no tomato for the sandwich 😋🥪 😂
Yesss sir i would the cookset please sir thanks for ur efforts
You sir are in sir. 😆 Thanks for stopping by. Take it easy.
Great video once again and goes to show that when starting out and a little imagination you can find some really cool stuff to start you off. A great give away for someone just stepping into bushcraft.

Would love to have this kit for my lad who’s has just started getting into bushcraft (currently sat next to me watching this).
Well you are certainly in with a chance of winning it because you are in the draw my good man. Hope your lad enjoyed the vid. Take it easy
Further to my previous comment, I will have to try cowboy coffee. I'm normally a French press gent myself and I have my OCD process I follow for it lol. I love using my Stanley French press (in the OG Hammertone Green colour of course) to make it, but there is a cleaning process involved when all is done and dishes are not something I particularly fancy doing while camping LOL. Making cowboy coffee in a billy pot or even a Stanley Adventure cup would be much easier to clean for sure.
I shamefully admit that during my car camping trip to Algonquin last summer I used instant coffee...for the first and last time. This year I will grind my beans ahead of time and pack a full baggie of it 😆.
I do love a pressed coffee in the woods, but there's something about a hot cup of cowboy coffee to put you right in the woods pure bushcraft 😂
I want the cup! 😊
Fingers crossed for you 🤞 you are in the draw! 😄 Take care.
just subscribed, love watching bush craft videos, also that lighter is a clipper lighter, proper bics are far more reliable, bics the preferred military personnel lighter as its more reliable but downside is its none refillable. always looked for bics in the naafi shop
Hey there first of all thank you very much for your support! Second I have more clippers than I can count! 😂 In my daily job I find them discarded in the street all the time! Usually just needing a flint. I can't complain they are all freebies 😂 So I take it you are a soldier? Do you practice bushcraft bud? Take it easy.
no I'm from a military family and joined an army college, unfortunately mental health hit me before my selection date. I go wild camping, where I live all land is used for food and no decent sized woodlands
@@KairuLitt But you are out and enjoying nature so it's a win 😁 Happy camping 🥾 🏕️
Sir may I ask what backpack ur using in the beginning of this video
Hey there buddy the pack is the frost river isle royale senior. Thanks for stopping by. Have a great day.
Prepping a delicious bushcraft meal with a Mora knife and cooking it on a budget friendly hobo stove fueled by wood from your surroundings. Life doesn't get much simpler or more enjoyable than that mate 🙌.
(Still going to love and use the shite out of a Coleman fuel stove every chance I get though 😉🙂)
It's nice to get back to basics every now and again. That's where the most fun is had I think. Simple tools and gear to accomplish anything in the woods. Take it easy bud.
@@BushcraftWithSteOutdoors K.I.S.S. 😁.
I am trying to do a nice hybrid blend of having some gear that is still "techy", but not having too much that it overcomplicates the process.
I feel very overwhelmed when I have too much choice in front of me (which is why I spend so much time planning my camp kits lol) and I very much prefer to keep things minimalist as much as I can but also have quality gear that will last and perform as needed. Buy once, cry once, right?🙂
That BLT looks sexy! Great video mate, and obviously I accept your challenge! May take a few weeks 😂
😂 I'll wait till I get a few vids in m8y
