Her name was Terra and she loses her throne because they find she is a bastard so she becomes an assassin and she has sex with a 40 year old man at 16 then she gets crushed by a rock. So is it still heartwarming?
While I did love the show like everyone else, it isn't entirely perfect. Like Justice League, they eventually had so many characters that a lot of them fell to the wayside and a lot of character development was shunted in Season 2 in favor of giving everything to Roy, Jaime, and Bart. Zatanna and Rocket especially were barely there, despite Zatanna being Dick's girlfriend in this series and her father becoming Dr. Fate. Also hated that they broke up the team between seasons with no explanation. This is the kind of show that would have really, really benefited from being a weekly show like Japan does. Oh, and Captain Marvel was perfect.
I agree, Rocket was such an interesting character in the Icon comics, and Zantanna was sassy and tried to keep her emotion in check. They were added with such promise, then the ball was dropped.
Yeah, they lost me with season 2....all the careful character building in season 1 and then they suddenly jumped to another point in time with all the characters having become something else off-screen. I felt cheated.
Yeah, the curse of all superhero entertainment seems to be too many characters. Many of these properties have mainstays that can't ever be cut. Thus, more minor heroes can only be included in an expanded roster. Try saying this to your producer, "I want to replace Batman with Booster Gold and our main female is gonna be Gypsy". It would be the first pitch in history to be "redlighted".
The biggest annoyance for me with the time jump was that they skipped over Jason Todd as Robin. He's my favourite so it was so disappointing to see him passed over (and doubly annoying that the show never got a season 3, as apparently we might've got Red Hood if it had happened?)
+jack robinson Except Young Justice wasn't finished. It ended on a rather large cliffhanger. Avatar: the Last Airbender wrapped up nicely. Although s series focusing on another Avatar would be great, or a movie version of The Search.
S.S.R.C.P.B. 'Series focusing on another Avatar would be great' you have heard of Legend of Korra right? Also fair point about YJ and I do agree that it absolutely needs a third season
jack robinson Oh, yeah. I love Legend of Korra. But there have been, what, 1000 Avatars in the Avatar Universe? Seeing an older one, like Won, or even a future one would be cool. The Won episodes were amazing, and a full series could be great. Or any other one of the 1000+ Avatars. Maybe Won's successor learning about his/her powers, with some guest appearances? Dunno. I just love Avatar. Or maybe a full-on comic series based on other Avatars?
While I feel like a bunch of great points were brought up, I'm a bit disappointed that they didn't talk about that Wally and Artemis relationship that suddenly went from picking on one another to BAM! They have a thing for each other at the end of season one.
Specifically what's wrong with it is that we had the original Teen Titans first. It's like lengend of Kora would've had better staying power if the amazingness of Avatar the last air bender hadn't come before it. Thank you!!! They took everything lovable about the original and turned it to crap. They could at least have made the show something to teach children so it could have some value. None of the characters feel like they have a single bit of sense. The closest thing to a decent scene in that show I saw unless I am proven otherwise (My little brother watches the show and I happen to be in the kitchen with a clear view of the tv) is the part where doctor light starts to show a little bit of humanity.
Ya'll are doing it wrong, you want to bring back Young Justice for season 3 you need a HUGE TH-camr to do a series on it like Doug Walker himself. Don't state it in the comments. Get him and Rob to do a series to millions of people and they will watch the show.
The part that REALLY stuck out for me was the alternate Beast Boy origin story. I mean, that was just GEN-IOUS! When I found out about the true origin story I was overwhelmed by how underwhelming and generic it was.
I personally felt that the 1st season was better then the 2nd season mainly because it was more focused on just 5 Characters then with the addition of Zatanna, and Rocket. Plus the overall story of all the secrets that Artemis, Superboy, and Ms Martian had during the 1st season. Season 2 I felt that the story was all over the place and that it was trying to focus to much on to many characters.
I feel like there needs to be a Teen Titans and Young Justice impossible timeline where someone tries to combine what happens in both universes to make it make sense in one universe timeline.
Remember how the video game that was supposed to explain the 5 year time jump only encompassed the last 6 months and was awful? That was the final nail in the coffin :(
If Wiesman ever gets the chance to do a season 3, I would really like us to skip back a bit. I'm on the anti-timejump bandwagon, because it represents character development that we are just supposed to take at face value. I think setting a third season between the two would really be a fun case of "Fix It" where we could see episodes from the perspectives of Season 2's newer characters as new members or even as outsiders to the world of heroics on the cusp of their heroic arcs. I honestly have quite a few favorite characters who progressively got shorter shrift as Season 2 went on and Blue Beetle and Impulse's character development dominated the season. So I would love to see more episodes dedicated to Beast Boy, Batgirl, Wonder Girl, and Bumblebee/Guardian. I also want to see what the relationship between the individual members and their respective mentors was like. I really felt cheated by being denied seeing the organic development of Clark and Conner's relationship. And I kind of really wanted to see that bittersweet moment where Red Tornado realizes the team as outgrown their need of a den mother. Could you do Justice League Unlimited? Or an abridged version with all the Amanda Waller episodes? That is the version of the character that I see in my head.
I loved this show, introduced me to so much stuff I was unaware of, made me love Harm... of all characters. Season 2 was a little mixed due to the cancellation but ugh, I liked it
it was sooo dumb killing him... not to mention so random and pointless. I still have no idea why they killed him. And the worst part, the reason he died (at least the way the show made it seem) was unnecessary (he didn't seem to actually be helping) and his own fault (he died because he wasn't fast enough??)
I'm kind of hoping that if they get a season 3 that they will say he was lost in the speed force and find a way to bring him back. It would be awesome if the extra energy from the speed force and the chrysalis somehow made him faster too.
They put an Easter egg in TTG. It's barely even noticeable, but it was there way of saying "Wally's not actually dead!". In one point in an episode, they had Robin reading a comic book on the couch. If you zoom in on the cover, it says Young Justice and has a picture of Wally running and yelling "I'm Back!"
But think of all the fanfiction and fancomics that's come from it! and it leaves a good plot opener for a third season. Bart's screwed up the timeline enough that it's possible he could come back, and the speedforce is a fickle thing... What if he meets up with Max Mercury there? =D
Plus, there are way too many fans who either haven't heard that there is a chance to bring it back or even if they did hear, their parents don't want to pay for a subscription for Netflix or they don't want to buy any of the YJ stuff anywhere else (I'm in that category).
William Brown Yeah, that's the problem. It's on the Trending list but it doesn't stay up there. It needs to maintain a high level of views and it needs to stay up there for prolonged amount of time. Now, I don't watch on Netflix (I wish I did) and I don't know how popular it is right now and we're not hearing anything. And that's the biggest problem, we don't know what's really going on. There needs to be communication between the guys at Netflix and the fans so we can know how the show is doing because we don't know. We don't know if the show is doing amazing and the execs are happy or the show is not doing as well as we're hoping. The fans would simply fix what's wrong and we'll do what we can if we just know what the hell is going on with the show's status. All we know is that the fans need to keep watching the show over and over. That's it. Watch the TH-cam video where the writer talks about it. I can't link stuff with the Steam browser because it's retarded, but I'll just give you the title: "How YOU can support getting Young Justice a 3rd Season! - #KeepBingingYJ "
You don't really need to read the comics for something like this, though. It's basic research. I've never read any DC comics aside from All-Star Superman, and I know this stuff.
I know right? All I did was a little research online for fanfiction and I learned about Match. Frankly, all you had to do was rewatch the episode to learn his name. They actually said it! So many references...
I'm sorry, but how do you not know about Wonder Girl? I can understand not knowing about Cassie, but Donna Troy has been a central character in the DC mythos for decades.
You should also thank Greg Weisman who is the showrunner of this series. He's also famous for writing epsiodes in Star Wars Rebels, creating Disney's Gargoyles, and the well loved Spectacular Spider-man the Animated Series.
You were correct good sir, in the Young Justice Invasion comic series we do see the clone again, he is exposed to chemicals that mutate him into Bizzaro.
My two favorite things from the series was the first time Icon & Rocket were on tv and Season 2 introducing their take on Static and the Super Friends: Ty Longshadow (Apachi Chief), Asami Koizumi (Tsunami), and Ed Dorado (El Dorado).
I'm sorry, I just couldn't get over the radical change between seasons. Seeing new characters occupy the same spots as old ones made it look like they were stereotypes. (Example, Beast Boy doing the same souvenir joke that Kid Flash did in season 1). Also, couples breaking between season is always fun. Why can't we get stable couples every once in a while?
Wally and Artemis stayed together. And remember that they were all teenagers at the time; how often do teens stay with the same person up till adulthood? Honestly, I didn't like any of the other couples beside Spitfire, anyway. But that's just me.
***** ***** I'm just saying. I'd rather see things happen instead of hearing about them. Not only those two broke up, but Artemis and Zatana graduated and we are just told that too, for example. Important things happened to the characters I cared about after a whole season, and the show just skips it. And, we also lose character development. After seeing Kid Flash mature, we get Beast Boy doing the exact same things Kid Flash used to do. A new Robin starts the same path the previous one did. It's crazy!
+Malcom Chase Yeah, I see where you're coming from. I've also got to agree with Eric's points, though. To be honest, I was pretty indifferent to the time skip.
Read Vol. 4 of the Young Justice TPB (Invasion), it gives a lot of background information and story set-up. They show that Zatanna and Rocket moved up to Justice League status. It also implies that Dick's been "around" with Zatanna and Barbara.
Season two sucked so bad compared to season one because rather than showing a lot of things, they just talked about them which is HORRIBLE to do in any show. I think a lot of it can be blamed on them being restricted to two seasons. If this show had more seasons it would have been a lot better because the characters would have a lot more time to develop.
I liked all of the characters from the show. I expecially loved the back and forth argument between Blue beetle and scarb.😂 That lil thing was a savage!
I might be the only person who disliked the season 2. I used to love this show (I followed it since the very beginning), but then I progressively started to get angry as the season advanced. Too much build up for a climax that was meh at best, too many important things that happened offscreen (and I'm NOT talking about the time skip, I'm talking about bs like "We had a plan to defeat this bad guy almost since the very beginning! :D"), horrible romance storylines (though this is a problem that season 1 had too), too many characters and very little development. I get they couldn't develop every character in the season 2 because there were a ton, but they should've introduced less characters or choose some of the new ones to focus on and get a satisfying development for them. Instead, it seemed like they tried to give a bit of screentime to everyone and just gave all characters a half-assed development. And honestly, at times it seemed like the story forced the characters to act, instead of them being the ones that advanced the plot. Like they were forced to act a certain way or ignore certain things only because the plot required them to do so. Also, I know this is just me, but I'm tired of distrust tropes. I really am. And they're everywhere in comics and comic adaptations. It's just... boring. I'm not sure if I want this show to come back or not, since there were some characters that I loved and want to see more of them. But at the same time I'm a bit scared of where they could take them. Still, it seems to have a strong enough fanbase so I think it deserves to come back, if only to make the fans happy. Maybe if the show is done by Netflix, the writers will have more freedom to write what they want and the end product will be better.
You aren't. I actually stopped watching it at one point during season 2. The show exchanged careful character building for cheap drama and it got old very fast.
It wasn't because "boys weren't buying toys" and it wasn't cancelled because of the false rumor that girls were watching it. It was cancelled because it wasn't selling toys in general. Now statistically speaking young girls do not purchase action figures toy wise but it isn't some conspiracy it's just because the merchandise didn't sell at all. I think personally it didn't sell because the actual demographic was teens and adults who teens don't buy many actions figures anymore little kids do. Majority speaking of course now adults do buy action figures and there's nothing wrong with that but none of the merchandise was selling no matter who the demographic was you guys didn't buy the stuff so CN didn't think that it was popular. I also don't think that the viewership was there either it had more of a cult following and didn't grow in popularity until it was cancelled not before then. Personally I loved and supported this show since its inception from the very first aired episode but that was not how it became popular unfortunately.
The five year time jump was terrible. The season two conclusion was great, but jumping give years just confused everyone and left too many holes in the story.
*Does your Zack Snyder impression* "Ok so what's the problem??? Come on" I LOVE YOU WALTER lmao. Wish to see you in conventions and do that impression towards you xD
I just can't see him as anything but Zack Snyder now though :) Whenever his face shows up at the beginning of the video I think, oh yeah, I know that guy! It's Snyder!
Hue Anderson ----------- *And just when you thought he is reeeaaally gone for good.... a few specs of dirt.... RISES FROM HIS COFFIN.... hinting that maybe.... just maybe.....* (eyes widened hysterically towards you) *...He'll come back* 8D XDDDDDDD It is just pure gold and I agree Hue lmao
It's kinda hard to find good Doctor Fate stories since he wasn't originally one of DC's creations and DC hasn't really been able to find a good place for him besides on a team position with the JSA. I haven't read any stories featuring the character, but a friend of mine said he's had some decent mini-series over the years. (Doctor Fate Vol. 1 [1987], Vol. 2 [1988], & Vol. 3 [2002]). I've also heard decent things about the Doctor Fate run from DCYou, but haven't read it myself.
My first experience with Walt was in the BvS review and his Zack Snider impression....... I watched this episode twice to imagine him in character again.
I love young justice its such a good show and i am hoping that we get a third season because frankly this show is amazing and deserves a third season 3 to wrap up all of these loose ends
I'm really enjoying the current Dr. Fate run. It's been good. Another great series is the Countdown to Mystery series. It really gets you into the psychology of it as Kent Nelson becomes Dr. Fate. It's also split in half with a Spectre story line with Crispus Allen post Infinite Crisis.
Great review you guys, I was excited to see you guys were able to finally review a DC animated show from Cartoon Network, and I know you guys can only do so much cause besides these animated shows because you have a lot of other things to do like the two comic book character VS series, movies, live action TV shows or actual comics, I have watched every video and I have enjoyed them, but it was worth the wait like you said Walter! If you ever in the future have time, it would be cool if you guys could review the original teen titans, it was one of my favorite shows growing up, and I haven't really seen a full online review of this series from anybody except for Blockbuster Buster, if you can't I completely understand, but you guys are doing great! Keep up the good work!
If you want a little more of Young Justice they have the side comics. The ones titles Players happens right before season 2 and fills in some more gaps.
As for Doctor Fate i recommend -New 52 Earth-2 -DCYOU Doctor Fate And probably Rebirth Blue Beetle because Kent Nelson will appear to reveal that scarab isn´t alien tech but magic.
OMG your suggestions are terrible, no offense though... 1) The Immortal Dr Fate (1985) the entire series is pure gold of Dr. Fate goodness. 2) Hector Hall's run as Dr Fate in Dr. Fate (2003-2004) 3) The four issue mini-series Dr. Fate (1987) 4) The ongoing 1988 DeMatteis' series (at least the first 20 or so issues) I'd recommend avoiding New 52 or DCYou of any magical characters that aren't Constantine because they've taken a major literary dump all over where they are portrayed as incompetent or all around boring characters with their job constantly being done by Constantine who doesn't even belong in most of those mentioned jobs (hell, you won't find a better description of JL Dark than that...). New 52 is only good as far as important main DC characters are concerned as it does little to focus on the lesser known and less important characters constantly experimenting with them in all the wrong ways and I dropped DCYou Fate after a couple of issues because of how horrible it was. With Fate, just stick to the classics!
I Started reading Dc with N52. Earth-2 second arc focus on Doctor Fate and was pretty cool. Also I like DCYOU Rebirth. They focus more human side of host and it´s cool that he isnt very knowlege and sometimes he uses science on magic.
Deathstroke Wilson I don't believe there is an online reader for those, most of the good stuff is really old so your best bet is still probably a comic book shop or a online store.
Didn't they show the 'Tula death/sacrifice' in the Young Justice game? But I was undecided on how I feel on the time jump between seasons. But Blue Beetle...yes! 😉
If you want to know a lot of what happened in the 5 year gap play the young justice legacy video game (don't actually play it, it sucks, just watch the story elements here on TH-cam) and read the second half of the limited comic book series. Things explained include Tulas death, why aqualad left the team, how blue beetle joined the team and how miss Martian and lagoon boy got together.
I wished they had showd Jason Todd as Robin, because He never appears as Robin in any animated feature, but hopefully he appears as Red Hood in season 3.
+Techno Whale I was much worse, trust me. Crying over a title is very mild for the person I used to be. Go back a few years and I'd be tearful and projecting my hatred for cartoon network into anyone that dared to be happy in a young justice-less world. hey, it's better to be a pussy than an annoying teenager with anger issues hahaha
My top favorites are Kaldur'ahm, Wally West, M'gann M'orzz, and Dick Grayson. They actually did Wally's character even better in my opinion than in the previous Justice League series, I was so sad when he sacrificed himself. Not that Superboy was bad, I just never really clicked with him even in season 2. The most interesting aspects of Conner, to me, were his relationship with M'gann (glad they changed it from when Wonder Girl was the love interest) and his struggle to connect with Clark as a possible father figure, but even those both lost traction after a while. Overall, I don't think they developed him as well as other iterations.
+Channel Awesome you guys might like the comic books that went along with the show. It helps you understand some of the missing context of the 5 year time skip and will help support the possible renewal of the show
My favorite episode by far was "Complications" in season 2. *spoilers for one a few of the storylines!!* This is the one that settles the Aqualad mind wipe/Miss Martian prisoner story arc. Not just for that story, but the villain's motivations as well: Sportsmaster and Chesire break in for revenge, Black Manta genuinely worried for his son, we get goddam Deathstroke...It was SO INTENSE. So many awesome characters featured, all of their motivations deep and emotional, with so much subterfuge going on during amazing action.
I think Young Justice handled the idea of there being and expanded universe of heroes than what Justice League Unlimited. We spend two seasons of the fate of the world falling to the same seven heroes and then suddenly we get this whole slew of new heroes. As much as I enjoyed justice league unlimited, even as a child I couldn't help but wonder, if there where all these other heroes, where were they all the others times when things went sideways. At least in Young Justice, when it fell to the team to save the day there was a reason why the other heroes couldn't back them up, either by them being too high profile for the mission or being occupied with another threat. As you say, this show is the best animated representation of Dick Grayson to date. The Teen Titans's version of Robin was cool but he represented Robin as an all incompassing concept rather than just focusing on particular iteration. He had the leadership and daredevil spirit of Dick Grayson, the eternal chip on his shoulder that Jason Todd was known for, Tim Drake's intelligance & preference of the bo staff and even though the series came out before Damian Wayne took up the mantle, I still see alot of the brooding arogance and habit of taking everything seriously thats become a trademark of the current Robin.
Match is a failed prototype superboy that was locked up until after Superboy disabled his mental programming. In the comics him and inertia formed an evil super team to fight the teen titans
If you like Shazam you should check out MiracleMan. It's a darker take on the Golden Age of comics and a realistic take on Captain Marvel. It was originally written by Alan Moore and then taken over by Neil Gaiman. It's excellent!
I wish they'd done more with Wonder Girl. Her intro, when she slow motion punched Lobo so hard the shock wave shattered all the windows in the room...yeah, my favorite scene in the whole series, lol As for why it was canceled, from what I understand, the rumor is that they felt too many girls watched the show, and girls didn't buy enough toys. Not sure how true that is, but the "official" reason it was canceled *was* because toy sales were low. Either way, that's a sucky reason :(
Based on her design, Cera is clearly NOT a triceratops. More likely a Pentaceratops to me. You can tell that from that she lacks the pair of "forehead" horns triceratops have, and seems to have emerging horns all over her neck frill which is mostly a pentaceratops feature (though i said "mostly", not "exclusivly" ;) )
Best episode for me was when Wally had to deliver the organ for that girl...so heartwarming :)
Oh I really like that one too.
Yeah that's mine too
nice pun
DaNestingDawg I don't think it was.
Her name was Terra and she loses her throne because they find she is a bastard so she becomes an assassin and she has sex with a 40 year old man at 16 then she gets crushed by a rock. So is it still heartwarming?

I totally agree i loved season one bc it had a small core crew and it felt more like a family
I agree, Rocket was such an interesting character in the Icon comics, and Zantanna was sassy and tried to keep her emotion in check. They were added with such promise, then the ball was dropped.
There was a game that tied up what happen between seasons, it was just so fans would buy it I think it did not sell well
Yeah, they lost me with season 2....all the careful character building in season 1 and then they suddenly jumped to another point in time with all the characters having become something else off-screen. I felt cheated.

Hey, if you want a third season of Young Justice, WATCH IT ON NETFLIX! KEEP BINGING YOUNG JUSTICE!
Or buy it on iTunes or buy it new
Avatar, Young Justice, is there any finished cartoon series that people don't want Netflix to take on?
+jack robinson Except Young Justice wasn't finished. It ended on a rather large cliffhanger. Avatar: the Last Airbender wrapped up nicely. Although s series focusing on another Avatar would be great, or a movie version of The Search.

Time to spin the wheel! The results are in...
EVERYTHING!!
Specifically what's wrong with it is that we had the original Teen Titans first. It's like lengend of Kora would've had better staying power if the amazingness of Avatar the last air bender hadn't come before it.

except they aren't funny.
The problem is that Korra is a lot about taste( I like it more than the Aang, but not by far) but is a damn good as a show. Teen Titans Go is just stupid, if you're not a kid on caffeine it will be hard for you to enjoy.

Asami is a better character
Superboy's clone wasn't Bizarro, his codename was "Match".
So is that mean that Match is a Clone of a Clone (because Superboy is a clone)
I loved young justice. it mad me cry though. I need another season
Its been picked up again hasn't it?
#keepbinginYJ. No joke, Greg Weisman has stated that WB is considering putting it on Netflix. Google it or look it up on TH-cam.
+Brandon Yan
DC nation in general needs to come back
#KeepBingingYJ

Hopefully Netflix will bring back a season 3.

The comics helped explain a bit though.
Doctor Fate vs Doctor Strange should be Screw Attack's next Death Battle :)
Screw Cartoon Network for letting this show go. I don't think I need to say much as to why its replacement show is the worst...
Wasn't really Cartoon Network's fault. The show just wasn't successful.
+Justin ™ blame Mattel or Hasbro they made it get cancel because toys weren't selling
+Braden Segs true.
They literally said one of the reasons they cancelled it was due to too many female viewers in comparison to males......SERIOUSLY?!!
GamerBear IKR
When Wally "died" in the last episode I actually cried 😢
Do static Shock
YES!!! DO IT!!!!
yes please
do static now!!!!!!!!!!
This
static was in young justice too but nobody noticed

He isn't Bizarro, he's Match. Match is his own separate character in dc comics. He's basically Bizarro Superboy and is different from regular Bizarro.
Ow didnt know that thought it was an alternate origins superboy prime since I know superman cuts across his crest symbol like what happens
I loved this show, introduced me to so much stuff I was unaware of, made me love Harm... of all characters. Season 2 was a little mixed due to the cancellation but ugh, I liked it
I loved harm he's like a cool anime villain. If they made him stop talking in the first person he'd be an even better character.
Killing off Wally wasn't crash at all. I was not whelmed.(But seriously, I cried.)
it was sooo dumb killing him... not to mention so random and pointless.
+katie joy also, a similar thing happened to Wally in the Justice League tv show.
But think of all the fanfiction and fancomics that's come from it! and it leaves a good plot opener for a third season. Bart's screwed up the timeline enough that it's possible he could come back, and the speedforce is a fickle thing... What if he meets up with Max Mercury there? =D
Do a review on Batman Beyond
Yes! This.
Definitely.
Now Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes before the year ends please
I know it's been rumored, but the likelihood of it coming back is shrinking by the second.
Yeah, because people aren't binge watching on Netflix like the writer told the fans to do or any methods to get WB the revenue money.
Plus, there are way too many fans who either haven't heard that there is a chance to bring it back or even if they did hear, their parents don't want to pay for a subscription for Netflix or they don't want to buy any of the YJ stuff anywhere else (I'm in that category).
It was trending on Netflix for a while, but I don't think it's there right now. Shame, since Season 2 ended essentially how Avengers 1 ended :P
Checked Netflix last night, and it was in one of the top spots for "Trending Now".
A show called Awesome Comics and they don't know about Match or Wonder Girl? I know about them I don't read comics.
Phil Lamar as Aqualad? No. Khary Payton
At 15:00, the whole "How did Tula die," situation is explained in a retail, last-gen, console, arcade video game.
I'm sorry, but how do you not know about Wonder Girl? I can understand not knowing about Cassie, but Donna Troy has been a central character in the DC mythos for decades.
Cause they might put on airs that they know more than they do.
Probably marvel fans or something.
Also Blue Beetle really?
I think Season 1 is by far superior to Season 2, season 2 just has too much of that weird ass alien stuff in it
Agreed
I like Season Two more because I thought it had a better plot, but I respect your opinion.
the time jump was also weird
+GhostrareStardust yeah they expected you to read the tie in comics
really did they every adversities them in the show this is the first im hearing of them
It wasn't Bizarro, it was Match. The episode title, Agendas, is even a reference to Match in the comics.
I know it's been 4 years but I'm surprised that I'm not the only one who misses this show.
***** Too bad we missed all of that.
The first few episodes throw you off but as you get in it gets good and all the characters come back
The clone's name was Match. He's Superboy's Bizzaro counterpart.
Read Vol. 4 of the Young Justice TPB (Invasion), it gives a lot of background information and story set-up. They show that Zatanna and Rocket moved up to Justice League status. It also implies that Dick's been "around" with Zatanna and Barbara.
I loved Young Justice, it's pretty cool watching Channel Awesome finally talk about it! :)
This was the first show that I binge watched. I loved pretty much all of it.
The voice of batman was so perfect in this show that my friend figured out who it was without even looking
The show had strong ratings, it averaged 1.9 million viewers when season two aired.
Legitimately didn't make the Beast Boy origin connection until the second watch of season 2 XD
I have never been so dissapointed with a talk about something from the source material that is one of my favorite comic series of all time.
The first episode is one of my favorite episodes
That's not Bizarro, that's Match, Superboy's Bizarro. They even have a line like "you've met your match" or something if memory serves me right.
The five year time jump was terrible. The season two conclusion was great, but jumping give years just confused everyone and left too many holes in the story.
The Superboy "Bizzaro" was his own villain called "Match".
*Does your Zack Snyder impression*
"Ok so what's the problem??? Come on"
I LOVE YOU WALTER lmao.
RISES FROM HIS COFFIN.... hinting that maybe.... just maybe.....* (eyes widened hysterically towards you) *...He'll come back*
8D
XDDDDDDD It is just pure gold and I agree Hue lmao
You nearly made me choke! It is too funny
YES! Awesome Comics is becoming one of the best in-studio shows by Channel Awesome.
Bizzarro actually shows up again in the tie-in comic, of which there were a few.
Wow, it hurts to still see them so hopeful and excited to see Killing Joke
Read the Young Justice TV show comic it tells you who the other Superboy is
My first experience with Walt was in the BvS review and his Zack Snider impression.......
It's not Bizzaro, it was an off-shoot of Match. The Superboy version of Bizarro from the Teen Titans comics run by Geoff Johns.
Meghan's story arc is great, so integral to the show as is Superboy's arc.
If young justice had more episodes than it would surpassed all other dc animated series
If you want a little more of Young Justice they have the side comics. The ones titles Players happens right before season 2 and fills in some more gaps.
I Netflix it, I rewatch season 1 over and over and over
Same for season 2
I like how Heather's fight-stance involved a bend wrist. Girl. You gonna get hurt.
As for Doctor Fate i recommend
-New 52 Earth-2
-DCYOU Doctor Fate
And probably Rebirth Blue Beetle because Kent Nelson will appear to reveal that scarab isn´t alien tech but magic.
Are we sure it's kent? Because if it is then i will be so fucking happy. Also personally, DCYOU Fate is kinda bad
OMG your suggestions are terrible, no offense though...
1) The Immortal Dr Fate (1985) the entire series is pure gold of Dr. Fate goodness.
2) Hector Hall's run as Dr Fate in Dr. Fate (2003-2004)
3) The four issue mini-series Dr. Fate (1987)
4) The ongoing 1988 DeMatteis' series (at least the first 20 or so issues)
I'd recommend avoiding New 52 or DCYou of any magical characters that aren't Constantine because they've taken a major literary dump all over where they are portrayed as incompetent or all around boring characters with their job constantly being done by Constantine who doesn't even belong in most of those mentioned jobs (hell, you won't find a better description of JL Dark than that...).
+ThatRabbitGuy Wut? Is there any way to read the immortal dr fate online or is it only available to buy?
Deathstroke Wilson I don't believe there is an online reader for those, most of the good stuff is really old so your best bet is still probably a comic book shop or a online store.
Didn't they show the 'Tula death/sacrifice' in the Young Justice game? But I was undecided on how I feel on the time jump between seasons. But Blue Beetle...yes! 😉
Justice League pffffffft clearly has nothing on teen titans go
It's not on Netflix or Blu-Ray in the UK :(
If you want to know a lot of what happened in the 5 year gap play the young justice legacy video game (don't actually play it, it sucks, just watch the story elements here on TH-cam) and read the second half of the limited comic book series. Things explained include Tulas death, why aqualad left the team, how blue beetle joined the team and how miss Martian and lagoon boy got together.
There was a video game that takes place between season 1 and two, that fill in some voids in regards the jump.
So ready for their third season coming out on Netflix! Yay!
There was a (bad) video game that had some important story bits, like the death of Tula. That was kinda the thing that made Wally and Artemis quit
When you watched all of young justice but remember virtually nothing from either of the two seasons.
I loved the time jump because of Night wing
I wished they had showd Jason Todd as Robin, because He never appears as Robin in any animated feature, but hopefully he appears as Red Hood in season 3.
you'd think that as a 20 year-old college student I'd be over it by now, but nop!
The title alone made me tear up a bit.
Only pussys cry
+Techno Whale I was much worse, trust me. Crying over a title is very mild for the person I used to be.
Go back a few years and I'd be tearful and projecting my hatred for cartoon network into anyone that dared to be happy in a young justice-less world.
hey, it's better to be a pussy than an annoying teenager with anger issues hahaha
I would just be happy if they made a Netflix movie to wrap-up YJ, because they way they were going after S2 felt like there could be a finale movie.
Without Channel Awesome I'd feel naked and not in a fun way.
I might not be the first to say this but a lot of the "What happened in the 5 years?" questions are answered in the Young Justice Legacy game.
I am so happy Young Justice is going to be back.
Idk if there are Dr. Fate solo series but Check out his appearances in Smallville.
In the canon Young Justice comics, Match later becomes Bizarro
+Channel Awesome you guys might like the comic books that went along with the show. It helps you understand some of the missing context of the 5 year time skip and will help support the possible renewal of the show
Season 1 Dick & Wally were the best comic relief since Flash in the Justice League cartoon.
My favorite episode by far was "Complications" in season 2. *spoilers for one a few of the storylines!!*
This is the one that settles the Aqualad mind wipe/Miss Martian prisoner story arc. Not just for that story, but the villain's motivations as well: Sportsmaster and Chesire break in for revenge, Black Manta genuinely worried for his son, we get goddam Deathstroke...It was SO INTENSE. So many awesome characters featured, all of their motivations deep and emotional, with so much subterfuge going on during amazing action.
best characters
1 aqualad
2 artamis
3 superboy
4 red arrow
5 static shock
Hey guy on the right:
I'm pretty sure that wanting to see more of the characters and their stories does not qualify as a 'negative'.
Middle aged justice! "No running at the pool."
and what's the rating for Teen Titans animated series?
It's excellent!
watching this and realizing i may NOT have seen season 2 O.O..HOW COULD I?!?!?!
I wish they'd done more with Wonder Girl.
Her intro, when she slow motion punched Lobo so hard the shock wave shattered all the windows in the room...yeah, my favorite scene in the whole series, lol
As for why it was canceled, from what I understand, the rumor is that they felt too many girls watched the show, and girls didn't buy enough toys. Not sure how true that is, but the "official" reason it was canceled *was* because toy sales were low. Either way, that's a sucky reason :(
If you want to read some great Dr Fate comics just read J.M Dematteis entire run from the 90's every issue is amazing. It's not in trade unfortunately
I like that Young Justice kinda had an appearance on Teen Titans Go
btw it wasn't bizzaro, it was match. in the comics he was made after superboy to beat him.
