Episodes 1 and 2 were more like Star Wars movies but they were still bad, at least Last Jedi didn't have atrocious characters like Anakin and Jar Jar, not even Rose (although annoying) was as offensive as them. Good video nonetheless

Yea cannon fires and they kiss? Makes perfect sense. Plus that huge laser shoot. It made a small dent only and the people inside did not die wow. Like how leg saber leave a scratch and not limbless. Worse part is. How did Rey lift so many hudge rocks when Luke need to train with yoda many many years to lift and fight like a Jedi. But Rey just picks up lightsaber simple swing people die . And that's about it. No training. Needed how to force push etc. The fighting scenes didn't even use the force as the Jedi fight.

I was really upset they didn't let Finn sacrifice himself.
He begins the movie trying to run away. He has overcome his superior. He beat the baddie he had beef with. He was about to make the ultimate sacrifice. It would have been the PERFECT ending to his story. It is so mind-numbingly stupid how perfect that ending would have been.

I think Rian purposely made her look like a secret bad guy, but then revealed her as an actual good guy to subvert expectations, derp derp! Problem with that is he built up us hating this character, now were all of a sudden supposed to like her. Also a lot of her decisions don't make any sense regardless.

There must be something about the mold that's changed, or the material they used cause these puppets just aren't coming out right. They should have just used a CGI Yoda if they can't get the puppet right.

Adam Driver is a great actor but I agree with you in the sense that his script was awful. The same goes for Hayden Christainsen in the prequels, his lines were absolutely atrocious and ultimately caused his acting career to nosedive.

There are at least three scenes in earlier movies suggesting that jumping to hyperspace wrong would lead to disaster. In A New Hope when they first jump after leaving Tattooine, in The Force Awakens Han tells Rey as much, in Rogue One K-2SO makes a point to show he’s concerned about not getting the right calculations before jumping while in Jedda’s atmosphere. But let’s not acknowledge any of the previous movies, it’s not like this is the ninth movie in the series or anything.

Nicholas Lammle hell if I know. I’m not one of the writers. Could I explain it in a way that made sense? Absolutely, but I don’t have any control over Star Wars canon. Given the lines referencing the dangers of hyperspace it’s hardly something universe breaking.

Stupidest part of the movie. The most likely outcome is that her actions would have killed both of them. Then again these movies aren't realistic, so you can't expect the characters to think realistically.

He was one of Plagueis’s failed midichlorian experiments. Rey was a successful one. That is why she is so strong. Because she is LITERALLY almost perfect. Snoke wants Reys midichlorians to make himself perfect. This would kill Rey tho. Luke left to go to the island once he found out who snoke truly was. He got in a fight with snoke but easily lost and lost some of his force powers. Since the island is strong with the force he went there to regain his power.

Snoke uses an ancient Sith dagger to open a portal and free all the Sith ever. He was told in a force vision from Plagueis that he would fix him if he set him free. Kylo’s lightsaber come flying off the armrest of Snoke’s throne. Kylo ignites it on Snoke but it is too late and the portal opens. Sith including Revan, Nihilius, Malak, Malgus, and the emperor come out of the portal but on the other end of the room opens a blue portal. Out walks Obi Wan and Yoda. Soon every single Jedi ever except Anakin exits the portal. A massive fight begins between the Sith and the Jedi will outside the resistance is fighting the First Order. Eventually the Sith get the upper hand but then a white portal appears. Out walks a tall man dressed in white robes with golden markings. He takes his hood off to reveal who he is. The greatest pilot ever. The greatest Jedi ever. The Chosen One. Anakin SkyWalker. He is able to push both the Jedi and Sith back into the portals with the force. He then evacuates Rey and Kylo. They wake up in the resistance base and start the religion of the grey Jedi. Anakin truly brought balance to the force. The movie ends with Anakin looking at the twin suns

KONO DIO DA. How last Jedi would end:
Rose and Finn plant a kyber crystal powered nuke in Snoke’s destroyer and try to escape with a holocron from Vader’s castle that contains the location of force sensitive children. During their escape they would run into phasma. They would battle over it but phasma would win but then Finn blasts her with a sniper on the ground temporarily paralyzing her. They would escape down to the crait bunker along with the resistance. Rey is in Snoke’s throne room with Kylo Ren when the explosion happens giving her time to use the force to grab one of the guards (who is a knight of Ren) spear and stab snoke with it NOT killing him. She then starts fighting Kylo Ren and he uses the force to try to grab the lightsaber. This scene is like the scene in the movie where they are having a tug of war only this time Kylo turns on the lightsaber stabbing Rey. Rey falls off the platform and onto a bridge below. She then crawls through a ventilation system to an escape pod area below and escapes to crait. The crait battle ensues the same way except the stupid rose and finn crap doesn’t happen and when they are told to retreat, THEY RETREAT. Just when it seems all Hope is lost a blue and white x-wing comes out of hyper space knocking down most of the walkers. It’s Luke SkyWalker. He lands on the ground and Finn and Poe move the x-wing into the flag ship. Luke starts fighting Kylo and uses the force to destroy his helmet. When Luke sees the resistance take off he allows Kylo to kill him. With leia dead from GETTING SUCKED OUT INTO SPACE Holdo becomes the leader except in my version she sent Finn and rose on the mission to cantobite and is NOT a whiny soccer mom. The holocron is the spark that will light the fire that will burn the first order down

Honestly finn was my favorite character from the sequel trilogy, and i felt really sad when he was gonna sacrifice himself. If he did, he woulda been one of the top five favorite characters in star wars for me. BUT NOPE
The worse part of the "save what you love" line is that is exactly what Finn was doing so not only did they subvert our expectation of Finn's heroic sacrifice they subvert the message they were trying to send. A subversion inside a subversion if you will

He is entirely respected, and at the end he comes back and goes even beyond you by confronting the entire First Order like a Jedi and using the Force to defend never attack. Luke was awesome, he gave me chills. His character was at his best in this movie.

I love the prequels, but I will acknowledge that it is mostly nostalgia. The first one came out when I was 8. I had, and played to death, the original trilogy, but the prequels were MY trilogy. I can acknowledge their faults, but they still felt like Star Wars films. Good or bad it was still Star Wars. TLJ felt completely foreign to me from the opening prank call joke.

In contrast, The Last Jedi seems more like it's insulting everything that made Star Wars what it is. And the jokes.... So bad.

Finn was a major missed opportunity. A stormtrooper defecting and joining the resistance wld have been an amazing storyline. A complete 180 from a darth vadar plot. But hey who am I to say that, I'm not working for Disney.

"Tell us you have a plan" almost sounds like Johnson's very low key confession the sequel trilogy was an exercise in making things up on the fly.
This video perfectly encapsulates the way I feel about this movie. When I first saw it I said to myself It wasn't that bad. But every time I think about it and with every rewatch it becomes worse and worse. It's at a point where I can't even sit through the whole movie because it is to cringe.

Rose’s “ Not fighting what we hate but saving what we love quote is so contradictory. Finn was literally about to save what he loved, his friends and the resistance, but this idiot stops him and nearly doomed the resistance.

This movie doesn't feel like a sequel to the force awakens, it just feels like an all around mess. My feelings for this have only grown worse since i saw this.

I believe that Rian Johnson isn't a true Star Wars fan and doesn't know anything about Star Wars. I will never forgive him and never support him for what he has done to this series.
Rian has an upcoming film, can't reckon the title but fuck the title XD, but I suggest that we should all not watch it. Maybe even make a hashtag challenge of sorts like #FuckRianJohnson or something.

This movie is a good example on why Disney should not own everything it where good franchises go to die.
When you realize Marvel is a Disney subsidiary.
They could've just used one of their smaller ships to hyperdrive into the First Order's ship, therefore sparing people and ships.

Saw it in theaters, left a bad taste in my mouth. Did a anniversary re-watch of the Force Awakens and Last Jedi to see if it was as bad as I remembered.
About the “bad editing” in the finn taser scene. Its called the three frame rule. If action happens and you make a cut, you usually go back 3 frames to male the action easier to follow. You will see this in literlly almost any action scene.
That doesn't make it good. At all.

Cancer did to my mother what Rian did to Star Wars. They both killed something precious to me. Me, a professional filmmaker myself, have always seen movies as a part of my education and growing up. I usually say that I had 3 parents: a mother, a father, and movies. Seeing the return of Luke Skywalker after 30 years in the Force Awakens was like seeing a person I hadn't seen for a long time. It felt warm to my heart. I could associate the feeling I had to what I would have felt would I have seen my mother again. In episode 8, the build up to that moment of reunion was completely ruined and spit on by Rian Johnson. It was like receiving a punch to the stomach for a second time: the feeling of losing a loved one again. Rian has been so disrespectful by assassinating a character that was dear to me. Luke was a part of my youth, just like my mother and my father.
If Finn would’ve died in this movie I would be sad (because he was my favorite character apart from Poe) and proud that he saved the rebellion,in my opinion it would’ve been very cool that he lived serving the First Order and died saving the rebellion, but Rían Johnson had screw it all up
