I don't know if these dragons ever survived, but i would love to see an episode about them if so.

The lair stuff had me thinking about a King who, desiring the benefits a nearby Platinum lair would provide his city, strove to create the deepest, most inaccessible dungeon possible, right there in the center of the city. He made it 100 floors deep, 1000 feet on each side. He filled it with traps both mundane and magical, ranging in difficulty from the most obvious set-ups to downright unfair. The layout was a labyrinth, laden with shortcuts that didn't always lead forward, and twisting on itself in ways only possible through powerful spacial magic. And he imported Goodly beasts of many descriptions, building a thriving dungeon ecosystem unrepentantly hostile to the undead, the fiendish, and the unworthy. At it's center was a grand lair, appointed in the finest silks and golds, fit for ten kings. He did everything in his power to make the dungeon a true test of every kind of mettle, and set complicated mechanisms in the walls which could be manipulated from a control room in the center. Then, he sent out a call, inviting young Platinum dragons seeking home to his city, if only they would stay there and let their energies seep into his wells and streets. His plan worked. Now, a hundred years later, the king's great grandson faces an unjust war. His brother, the vile Prince Agister, has bought a claim to the throne in blood and coin, and presses it with an army of bandits and orcs. The rightful King fears Agister may just be stronger than he can provide, not without killing his kingdom in the very act of saving it, and so he offers a party of adventurers a quest - to enter the Platinum Labyrinth, and seek out Grunwald, the Platinum Dragon at the center, who has not been seen since moving in. The dungeon has aged, and many of it's internal wells dried up, but those that still sate thirst cure the many curses layered in those empty halls. What's more, Agister has also sent forth a party of his own, a team of assassins. The party now must race down the 100 floors of the Platinum Labyrinth, facing more and more dreadful threats as they go, hounded by the forces of evil, if they want to save the kingdom from Agister's black gloved fist. They can't be sure that Grunwald is even still in the dungeon, but it is the only hope they have... And some strange force seems to be happy to keep things fair, even when the forces of darkness use dirty tricks. Could this too be the influence of the dragon, a blessing of fortune? Or is it simply a deeper, crueler trick by something malevolent?
I love how the existence of these platinum dragons explains subtly why we never *see* good chromatic dragons. Because if they were so good in nature to over come the expected behaviors of their sub species, then they'd ascend! I've always subscribed to the idea that there *can* be good in any typically evil creature, so having reasons why the "myth" that a species is exclusively evil came to be, is always awesome. Edit: also as a plot hook, I imagine that Tiamat would *really* hate her chromatic dragons being converted to Bahamut's side.
We even know for a fact that evil and good are not inherent, even in the lore of the Forgotten Realms. The fact that angels CAN become fallen proves this. These good and evil labels are meant to be descriptive, not prescriptive. Even for beings who presumably are physical manifestations of a realm of evil, like Devils, are not necessarily evil at an individual level.
Evil beings can inadvertently or to cover their intentions, do good but ultimately some fictionally & in reality are ungood for everyone not them & thus are evil by nature vs evil by race or usual racical action or belief. Morality provably subjective & D&D purely fictional notwithstanding.
Shadow Platinum Dragon, chew on that alone for a moment…also, in Fizban’s Bahamut’s parents were turned into silver greatwyrms..because we can’t have nice things unless we make them ourselves
28:00 The idea of a fallen platinum. Where the ascension ritual was distribed gives an interesting chance for this. A curse hitting a dragon at that moment or The mists of the dread lands stealing the dragon in the midst of the rite..... Perhaps a evil dragon attempted the rite.... Thinking it had hid its misdeeds and it's repentance was already enough.... In essence a hypocrite dragon. But it's darkness and repeated attempts got it cursed by bahamut instead and sent to the shadowfells. Possibly in it's own domain of dread as a false platinum/shadow dragon.
@@arcticdino1650Well, when you consider that, technically speaking, Bahamut himself is writing this book, I think you can make a lore argument for saying "Bahamut is just trying to keep those dragons safe." 😂
@@VelociraptorsOfSkyrim But it's not Bahamut it's a senile avatar of the god Paladine who isn't Bahamut the way they act are very different. If anything Paladine is another Platinum Dragon.

Morality is subjective, good & evil provably yielding. Let alone inherently good & overcoming one's "evil nature" vs neutrality or differing axis of morality resulting in the same outcome & Parthanax's quote arrogant. Parhtanax bring a fantastic character notwithstanding.
So, does this video open the door to platinum dragonborns? Lets say it could be the endgame for a gold dragonborn who also a cleric of Bahamut. Their faith ultimately rewarded.
This is a pretty dope character motivation. Dragonborn paladin serving a platinum dragon in the hopes of Ascension is the obvious choice. Platinum Dragon warlock patron? Now that's a homebrew I could get behind.
I actually created a whole reason why Bahumet in a world is called ‘The’ Platinum Dragon. Long story short, he’s called that because he’s literally the last of his kind. The rest of his kin were killed because they were the most powerful of the metallics, and the soon to be Tiamat of that world wanted her reign to be unopposed. Unfortunately for her, Bahumet was the biggest and strongest of his kin and had a kindred with mortals which put him in a unique position to not only survive but lead the charge against her.
Similar: In my headcanon Bahamut was the only platinum dragon THAT DID NOT YIELD, never baring his neck for that evil bitch to chomp. The rest respected their elders, or some shit.
Ed Greenwood's right, the best of these Dragons are the ones with a good hook/story beyond just filling out the color/alignment/Elemental grids. I like Purples because of the Mob Family aspect, Brown for the gourmand trait, and I love Pink Dragons for being such a fun, silly idea, and being a great way to throw off expectations of what a dragon should be like.
I like the idea of a platinum dragon overseeing a battle, breath weapon healing the heck out of both sides/the losing side, over and over until both sides simply give up the useless and painful military option and go back to the diplomacy table.
Ever try to interrupt a bar fight or domestic dispute before? It's more likely they will turn both armies on the dragon. A certain degree of arrogance is required to muster an army, after all.
@@karnewarriorI’d say Lawful Neutral since it refuses to choose a side or really stop what’s happening itself, but is doing so through belief in it’s own personal code
Now I know what I want for the ultimate story arc for my character. He's a Halfling Sorcerer, Draconic Ancestry -- great grandmother is a Silver Dragon. His adventuring purpose has always been to perform acts of heroism in honor of that legacy, and in the hope that he will eventually meet his dragon ancestor and to make her proud. He's also a follower of Bahamut, so now I want to take it a step further! If he can get to a high enough level and accomplish enough noble deeds, I want him to earn ascendancy, to become a Platinum Dragon Wyrmling!
Even before this video I had an idea for a dragonborn (most likely chromatic) paladin who’s goal is to shed he chromatic scales and be reborn under bahamut. With the final goal of being the champion of bahamut and becoming a platinum dragonborn or a platinum dragon itself.
I forget where I read this, but there is lore that indicates that the more virtues or good a dragon is the more their scales shine, and the more evil it is the more dull those scales are. It would be best to have a dragon ascend after maxing out their “goodness” stat so they become so brilliant that they’re just platinum now.
The idea of the red dragon turnips into a platinum sounds amazing and definitely plan to add it to my campaign. Now i have to figure out what sort of deed is needed to gain Bahamuts favour.
I'd say betraying Tiamat and literally burning bridges (and battalions, and storehouses, and siege weaponry) on your way out of Tiamat's army would do the trick.
You may mention this in the video as I haven't finished it yet, but a fun idea for a particularly powerful or influential ancient plat dragon's hoard could be a book full of good deeds and positivity... in other words a book of exalted deeds
isn't that a actual book? like the exact opposite of that evil book which if you place near the good book a Jesus Lazer comes down and obliterates it or whatever evil takes it?
I ran a 2 year long cult of the dragon queen 5e game and relied heavily on bahomet having been sealed into the body of a child named Marduk. The two platinum elders were resummoned upon his binding and the party effectively had to beg them to sacrifice themselves once more to reunite the two aspects of the platinum God. I'm losing a lot of context but the party of 6 ended at lvl20 and faught both statblocks of tiamat the final blow being the "rust" dragon born sorc ripping themselves out of avernis and piercing her body, when asked what the player would do with their act of slaying a God they replied "I eat her heart". Thus assended the new dragon queen.
One way I see the Platinum Dragon being placed is a scenario where the divinity and influence of Bahamut and the Platinum Dragons do not originally exist in the scenario; As an example I use the most famous RPG scenario here in Brazil called "Tormenta 20". In it I would say that the Bahamut discovered this new scenario and with the luck of Tiamat not knowing about it. So he decides to leave a Platinum dragon egg in this new world and the most powerful wizards felt this and the characters are sent to find and protect this platinum dragon before it is found by the villains of that world and destroyed.
This came at the perfect time for me. I'm running a game right now where the party has been touched by entities from the Far Realm that are attempting to twist them into suitable vessels so they may enter the material plane, and I was already planning on having an enclave of Oath of the Watchers paladins run by a dragon being a major focal point in the story as far as fighting back against that influence. My original plan was to use a silver dragon, but now I've got the idea in my head that this dragon may have had a part in sealing away these Far Realm gods in the past, and due to their heroism, were ascended to a platinum dragon. Add in the fact that most of the party already have less than moral inclinations, and there's some real sauce there for potential character growth. Plus, I already put the lair/enclave at the top of the tallest mountain in the region, so even that lines up perfectly.
Honestly, the bit about platinum dragons being appointed by deities is brilliant and I’m going to “borrow” that. See, my group plays in a pathfinder setting where both Apsu and Bahamut coexist, and that hierarchy blends it in seamlessly
''that's not a bad thing, that's a feature not a bug!'' i'll have that as a custom sound for anything i do that players on my campaings find odd but isn't causing any unpleasant experiences on the table
Not gonna lie I went into this one expecting to heavily dislike the concept as I thought a race of platinum dragons would detract from how cool it was for Bahamut to be the only one. That being said, I absolutely loved this one. The idea of Bahamut and Xymor being the same along with Lendys and Tamara reminds me of a fantasy version of the Christian Trinity (which regardless of your religion is a neat concept to draw from), and keeping that in mind platinum dragons attaching themselves to mortal kingdoms makes me think of them as the literal embodiment of the divine right of (good) kings. I started out expecting this to be interesting but not for my game table and now I’m brimming with ways I plan on incorporating platinum dragons in my homebrew campaign setting. Very well done!
Played a dragon and their gods focused game and i also made platinum dragons as changed by bahamut. In that case it was a silver dragon. But i made it that their scales will turn platinum slowly the more good/justice they bring
I think it needs to be more clear that something funny is going on near the lair, even when the platinum dragon isn't taking active measures against someone. The lair needs another, or perhaps an upscaled, regional effect, like speeded healing, empowered turning, heightened spells from a specific school, or even something that's just cosmetic (maybe aasimar, celestial, or draconic creatures are born like a bolt out of the blue there). Making the surroundings semi-divinely morphic to tie in with the godly aspect of the platinum dragon would also work, or perhaps the surroundings reflect whatever Bahamut is doing to his own home plane, but in subdued form.
Peak editing, DD 👌🏽 (That isn't to say this is where you peak; I can't wait to see how far you'll go and what you'll be doing next 😁) So many thoughts on this one and this comment box is too small to fit them all. Here are two that stood out to me the most for sharing: - What if the antagonist platinum dragon was a Dracolich that Bahamut ascended as punishment, thus casting off its lichhood? 😂 The party is trying to stop it from switching back somehow. (And maybe Bahamut was correct in having this ex-lich face the party: this is what allows it to recognize the errors of its past and becomes content with its new sheen.) - I could easily see the "tapestry" of good deeds actually being etched or tattooed into the platinum dragon's scales, fins, or crest...so when it slithers or flies, the events or deeds come to life in some kind of enchanted way and portray what it's done. Thanks, as always! 👏🏽 And it's so cool you got to talk to Ed Greenwood!
I could see this being an amazing plot hook for a Yellow Dragon. Either you are helping a dragon ascend by doing a good deed, and what better than killing the one dragon type no other dragons like. Or for the good side of things maybe a yellow dragon is sick of being outcasted from/hunted by all other dragons, all because their ancestors didn’t help during the war against Giants, so they want to prove to the world that they aren’t just sit around and hide away in isolation by ascending into a Platinum Dragon.
I am certainly glad to have had this video. I have a Forgotten Realms writing project, and one of the characters is a Kobold from a tribe that follows a Silver Dragon who in turn is dedicated to Tamara. The dragon, at least when last heard from (his trail of of good deeds and new temples breaks off a few years ago) seeks to restore Tamara to life and power. Meanwhile, I also plan for the Kobold character to eventually be transformed into a Platinum Kobold and raised to divinity by Asgorath. Anyway, I am very grateful for those snippets from Ed, and am pleased to say that, except for the detail of it being Bahamut who raises dragons to Platinum, everything Josiah proposes for Platinum Dragons fits fine with my own ideas.
Ed Greenwood is a living treasure. If I ever meet him I hope I can give him a big hug. He's like a real life wizard or santa claus. Full of joy, life, & creativity. If every child had a grandfather or uncle like ed they'd have beautiful stories and ideas to inspire them for the rest of their lives. ❤️
Woooo! I love all the lore Ed's been dropping on us recently. His Twitter has always been fantastic but his channel and lore videos are wonderful for itching that deep-lore scratch :D Fantastic video, both of you :D
There's something very funny to me about the pop up saying "An upstanding young man" and the image being a wyrmling on all fours, literally not standing up.
If I recall, one of those two (Lendys or Tamara) gets mentioned as a greatwyrm in the Fizban's book, basically sweeping them under the rug as not a deity and instead just a really powerful dragon.
One suggestion I have is that maybe the dragon keeps some characteristics of it’s previous self, perhaps just breath weapons and resistances or maybe even certain lair abilities
With the platinum dragons lore, it just takes me to God of War (2018~2023) message "We Must Be Better". Also, a plot hook. A platinum dragon requests a party to look for old hoard locations of a particularly old nasty, vile dragon. They hope to right their previous sins, and redistribute/reperate the denizens/tribal people they acquired it from, or give it up as charity. Rewards could be a semi-ascension akin to platinum dragon, or some of its body parts (gruesome, I know, but it could heal it quickly) specific knowledge written down from its past deeds, etc
the fact any dragon can become one is so funny. imagine a chromatic dragon on the meaner end of things who got a little too involved with helping a party of heroes, ascended, and is now always at least a little pissed about it forever.
I like the idea that a party could meet a chromatic dragon trying to accumulate good deeds for ascension's sake, and also 27:11 that they may meet/see a fallen platinum dragon and mistake its presence as fortunate.
I had an idea a while ago for a campaign where the players have found an egg which hatches under their care, and out comes a platinum dragon. They then get chased by multiple factions who want the dragon, but through visions have been warned that they are the ones who must bring it to Celestia. Unfortunately, something is interfering with planar travel to Celestia, so they have to get a spelljammer and set off into the astral sea, searching for keys that will allow them access. Once there, Celestia is in ruins and Bahamut is nowhere to be found. They must battle their way through hordes of fiends to find the BBEG, defeat him, and bring the baby platinum dragon to the peak, where it will transform back into Bahamut himself. I haven’t fleshed out all the details, but I think it sounds interesting for a high-level campaign.
I still love the steel variety the most. I used to have a "villain" gold dragon that lived incognito in a super old city. And a steel dragon is specifically designed the way I wanted them.
I'm just starting a homebrew Pathfinder campaign, and my character is a Platinum Dragonborn of Bahamut, ascended because of her desire to both serve true justice and help people. My DM has already hinted her power may become so great as to ascend to true dragonhood or maybe even a dragon goddess in her own right. I'm looking forward to finding out!
Probably mentioned before when you started doing it, but man I really appreciate you continuing to support artists and not resorting to using AI art in your visuals
A mysterious humanoid fugure emerges, cloaked to the point that you can't see any part of its skin, holding a huge book. The figure drops the book and leaves. Inside it is a very unusual form of Draconic.
Awesome video (as always)! I do think that in the case of the platinum dragon as a chosen of Bahamut, it cannot be anything other than Lawful Good. No “typically” as we see monster stats lately, because it is anointed by Bahamut due to its actions and morals. If that changes at any point, I think it would be appropriate that the dragon would be stripped of its status and revert back to its original typing.
I like how one needs to ascend to become a platinum dragon. It reminds me of the old Dragonborn of Bahamut race from 3.5. It was a race that wasn't born, but "reborn". Basically any humanoid race could become a platinum scaled dargonborn but they had to be first chosen by Bahamut then go through a lengthy ritual where they would become an egg. They would then hatch as a dragonborn.
I had the exact same though as Ed brought up the ascension. I felt like it could literally be the same ritual. Also i don'[t know it it is the official cannon now but there was a retroactive theory that posed that the 4e/5e dragonborn from abeir started as a corruption of those eggs by tiamat cultist. Before that those 3e platinum dragonborn are sterile and the Cromatic corruption inadvertently made the abeir dragonborn able to reproduce, hence why 4e dragonborn were all chromatic (except for some of characters in the novels). That was then retconned and let metallic dragonborn arise as half-dragon/sorcerous lineage descendants kinda like the bg3 incorrect character creation dragonborn flavor-text. there is also the other rationale of them being made by asgotrath/io long ago in abeir to be servants/ soldiers for dragon kind. I think that latter one is the 5e explanation but may have been a mid 4e era retcon.
I would've given the wyrmlings the mage hand cantrip, which eventually grows into an at-will bigby's hand as it matures to make up for the lack of arms. that or the telekinesis spell.
I’m just imagining a platinum dragon’s hoard being like that game Journey. A giant buried temple almost comprised of hieroglyphs and murals and tapestries. A palace built of history and wisdom.
A campaign or one shot focusing on helping a dragon ascend to Platinum dragonhood would be the perfect opportunity for a game where the players also play dragons!
Personally, I think the Platinum Dragon's hoard would be art-based, like tapestries. paintings and epic poems. They would spend their downtime making or commissioning art to extol their great deeds. Plus it would let them have a lesser hoard, which is viewed more like an expense account rather than a personal thing, something to buy the raw materials and services, but ultimately something they are not too attached to.
Back in 4E, I started a homebrew campaign that featured Bahamut heavily (or his servants at least). "The Platinum Dragon" was more a title than a descriptor, similar to how other gods had titles like "The Lord of Battle", "The Fisher King", "The Lady of the Swarm", "The White Death", etc. So there was plenty of room for other platinum dragons, and I took advantage of this to turn his servants (based on the seven gold wyrms) into platinum dragons. As they were essentially his version of an angel and practically demigods, they became platinum dragons when he invested them with his power to serve him. Of the three that appeared in the campaign, two were formerly gold and one was formerly bronze.
It was nice to see Ed Greenwood make a came, he's slowly becoming Stan lee of d&d youtube. And I like your idea for climbing up the mountain as a campaign.

That idea sounds very cool. The Fizban retcon is dumb, but not surprising based on what it has done to other dragons (like purple and steel)
28:00
The idea of a fallen platinum.
Where the ascension ritual was distribed gives an interesting chance for this.
A curse hitting a dragon at that moment or
The mists of the dread lands stealing the dragon in the midst of the rite.....
Venture capital is an endless font -- you never really need to make products and services to sell to consumers.

When I DM they never catch that wily disguised dragon god. They just think the birds are cool. "Wow, he is really stepping up his NPC descriptions!"
So, does this video open the door to platinum dragonborns? Lets say it could be the endgame for a gold dragonborn who also a cleric of Bahamut. Their faith ultimately rewarded.
This! I want to see more of this!
Plat dragon born are in 3.5e and can come from any race.:3 Should be an easy conversion to 5e.
This is a pretty dope character motivation.
Dragonborn paladin serving a platinum dragon in the hopes of Ascension is the obvious choice.
Platinum Dragon warlock patron? Now that's a homebrew I could get behind.
ooh, you could use it with dragonic warlock homebrews like pointy hat made to get a healing breath.
@@HenriFaust And the dragon continues to alternate breath weapons, repeatedly burning and resurrecting all those who don't lay down their arms.
Grossly underrated comment.
@@CaTastrophy427 Sounds... A little bit not Lawful Good, tbh.
Definitely Lawful. Possibly justified. But not Lawful Good.
A platinum dragon called Stella.
...
Yes. You can shout her name as "STAR PLATINUM!".
An then she swoops in pummeling the bad guy while yelling ORA repeatedly.
I like it. 😁
@@Franky_Sthein The last thing any Tiamat Aspect ever saw.
a platinum dragon called "STELLA"
That intro section was sick as hell. Great work as always dude!
Thanks! It took me a very long time lol. After effects is literally the devil
I guess we know what the next video will be about then. But for real, it looks sick.
Ed greenwood has a 100% cast a spell that man is a wizard and I refuse to believe anything else
That interview clip with Ed really shows how passionate and talented he is with writing, you can see how he sparks with creativity
7:28 Santa Claus looks a realy cool guy
You may mention this in the video as I haven't finished it yet, but a fun idea for a particularly powerful or influential ancient plat dragon's hoard could be a book full of good deeds and positivity... in other words a book of exalted deeds
Oh That’s genius
I'm going to make this a thing in my world, this idea is amazing!
isn't that a actual book? like the exact opposite of that evil book which if you place near the good book a Jesus Lazer comes down and obliterates it or whatever evil takes it?
This has to be the sickest Dungeon Dad vídeo to date, the editing goes so hard!
Also I really hope to see more of Ed in the future, he’s the best
Thanks! Also don’t worry, you’ll definitely see Ed pop up again
The more dragons the better! My world is very dragon heavy.
That sounds like the makings of an all-dragon campaign.
15:23 I was NOT expecting a dbfz clip of android 21 in a DND video today
''that's not a bad thing, that's a feature not a bug!'' i'll have that as a custom sound for anything i do that players on my campaings find odd but isn't causing any unpleasant experiences on the table

That is the coolest old man I’ve ever seen.
He really looks like a fucking wizard
Ed greenwood looks exactly what you’d want a DnD lore writer to look like
I think it needs to be more clear that something funny is going on near the lair, even when the platinum dragon isn't taking active measures against someone.

When do monster like to party the most?
April Ghoul's Day.
Peak editing, DD 👌🏽 (That isn't to say this is where you peak; I can't wait to see how far you'll go and what you'll be doing next 😁)
So many thoughts on this one and this comment box is too small to fit them all. Here are two that stood out to me the most for sharing:
- What if the antagonist platinum dragon was a Dracolich that Bahamut ascended as punishment, thus casting off its lichhood? 😂 The party is trying to stop it from switching back somehow. (And maybe Bahamut was correct in having this ex-lich face the party: this is what allows it to recognize the errors of its past and becomes content with its new sheen.)
- I could easily see the "tapestry" of good deeds actually being etched or tattooed into the platinum dragon's scales, fins, or crest...so when it slithers or flies, the events or deeds come to life in some kind of enchanted way and portray what it's done.
Killer intro work man! Glad to provide art for these elusive shiny good bois, thanks again for having me!
You're so incredibly talented! DD keeps gushing about working with you to me.
Holy hell that intro goes so hard
Holy shit man this was so cool, and it was real dope to see Ed show up, you must have had a blast getting to be able to chat with him.
A quest to aid a repentant chromatic dragon would be so sick, I think I might use that hook for a future Spelljammer campaign
This episode was great but also managed the production quality has just gone to a new level
Bahamut looked so chill in 1e
I know this is going to sound really weird but Ed Greenwood has beautiful eyes. They're very blue, and fit his 'kindly wizard' aesthetic perfectly.
Woooo! I love all the lore Ed's been dropping on us recently. His Twitter has always been fantastic but his channel and lore videos are wonderful for itching that deep-lore scratch :D
Fantastic video, both of you :D
Found you a few days ago by pure chance, thank god because you are awesome 😎
Thanks for hanging out!
Lendys and Tamara are mentioned in Fizban's. They're described as silver greatwyrms in the text, but their details beyond that are identical.
Ah, retcons....
If Bahamaut isn't in the equation I could see it working like the Avangion ritual in Dark Sun.
One suggestion I have is that maybe the dragon keeps some characteristics of it’s previous self, perhaps just breath weapons and resistances or maybe even certain lair abilities
Please, I still ask about Tome Dragons, they are my favourite, and are pretty interesting
The GTA car gag was perfect
Oh how I swoon for dragons, literally my favorite creatures in any fantasy setting
Ah, a platinum dragon. If only I could be so grossly incandescent.
the fact any dragon can become one is so funny. imagine a chromatic dragon on the meaner end of things who got a little too involved with helping a party of heroes, ascended, and is now always at least a little pissed about it forever.
"goddammit this is never part of my agenda!"
Ed is going to turn into a tree before long, and I think no one's more excited for that than him.
I like the idea that a party could meet a chromatic dragon trying to accumulate good deeds for ascension's sake, and also 27:11 that they may meet/see a fallen platinum dragon and mistake its presence as fortunate.
THAT'S A FEATURE NOT A BUG! Thank You, Ed Greenwood! ❤
Oh my Zuggtmoy! This intro looks awesome!
If anyone wants to give your platinum dragons more individuality, you can try giving them their original breath weapons as options
Probably mentioned before when you started doing it, but man I really appreciate you continuing to support artists and not resorting to using AI art in your visuals
"Forgotten realms, the de facto d&d setting"

it always warms my heart when I see a video with Ed. He really looks like a character right out of a fantasy story.
A mysterious humanoid fugure emerges, cloaked to the point that you can't see any part of its skin, holding a huge book. The figure drops the book and leaves. Inside it is a very unusual form of Draconic.
In my Dragon Heavy Setting, I've put EVERY cannon dragon type I can find (and some that aren't) there are so many spots that are missing
I’m imagining a bunch of wingless wonders tryna get that good good platinum lizard water
Wooo. Do we get to learn about their Mist Breath?! That ability is bonkers, lol
Woah, that intro was really cool
W channel your videos are very good, the perfect mix of entertainment, and information 10/10 +1 subscriber
26:22 a Platinum Dragon storing away it’s accomplishments. That’s neat, though Risky. I say, why not apply that to an Epic Level Campaign :)
I’ve never played a single D&D campaign but these videos bring me so much joy! Thanks for the fun cool lore!
1:01 would like to point out that the character is not an avatar but an actual Na’vi, you can tell from the three fingers and one thumb.
I could watch Ed Greenwood and you talk for hours. About every last but if lore
Once the other video comes out that this interview is being used for, I plan on putting the whole thing up on my second channel!
Ooh, imagine a campaign that blends aspects of that and Celeste.
Ed Greenwood is fun. You can tell that he really loves the setting.
What an intro!
I have never seen Ed Greenwood irl and I have to say he looks EXACTLY like I imagine a classic wizard to look like. Like this could be a stand in for Gandalf
My DND party and I are currently raising a red dragon wyrmling we got from fighting some egg smugglers, and trying to teach her to be good. I saw this video and pretty much immediately sent it to our DM as a "This is a perfect final transformation-type thing for her if we're successful on this path".
That opening was amazing man, perfectly edited!
The very existence of a platinum dragon wyrmling in a setting could drive a plot.
Its always good to see Ed popping up in your videos. His channel is freaking rad too
The new monster of the week intro goes hard.
I know you’ve been working on the video editing for quite some time and damn this was So great! Been awesome watching you progress into amazing and informative videos like these I’m so excited to implement into our sessions over the years
