I saw someone bring this up on another video, but have you considered the Skincrawler Dragon from PF1e? AKA: “This dragon is full of spiders.” AKA: “WHY THE HELL IS THIS STILL CONSIDERED A TRUE DRAGON INSTEAD OF AN UNDEAD SWARM?!? NOT LOVING THE IMPLICATIONS THERE!!!”
Oh! Also from PF -- the Akaruzug. A high level statue of a fallen angel, created by sacrificing a warrior inside it during creation, then powered by crucifying someone on the outside of it and taking their soul. Nothing like fighting a super evil gargoyle with you favorite shop keepers corpse strapped to it.
Love the conversion! Just a heads up, I don't think you adjusted the Adult and Ancient categories + to hit bonuses, they're the same as the Young version, and don't account for the higher Strength score/proficiency bonus
i like the idea of a gray dragons favorite trophy in its lair being a tree or a big rock or something like that. as its a reminder of the time it won so horrifically, so overwhelmingly, that there was nothing from its opponent(s) left to take, so it just grabbed whatever was nearest and flew off
Since they like the fight I think they would value the harder fights. Like the sword of a great knight they fought within a multimeter of their life. Or even a preserved chunk of flesh that the warrior managed to slice off before they died
Story idea: An ancient Grey Dragon, tired of seeking out prey for itself, has entered the Space Between and enslaved the Bagmen that inhabit the plane. Now, the Bagmen serve as almost Game Wardens, bringing fresh prey into the Space Between for their draconic master to hunt at it's leisure. Today, the Bagmen have chosen the party as their masters next hunt.
All I am imagining now is a silver surfer Bagman because it kinda reminded me of how Galactus has people who come on to the planets before he eats them.
"You want me to help you fund a school." "Yes. The natural course of events just doesn't provide enough worthy challenges for distinguished individuals such as yourself. After studying this, I have determined that most 'adventurers' die young and weak, most especially within the first three years of setting out on their journeys. So by supporting the school, I will have the resources to nurture them through their first four years and then let them go from there. This will reduce losses by an order of magnitude, resulting in more worthy opponents over time." "And how long will it take before I see results?" "Well, from the graduation of the first batch, my calculations and divination suggest results in less than three decades." "That seems awfully fast to me." "That is because 'adventurer' growth isn't linear, it's quadratic. Once they get 'over the hump' so to speak, they rapidly accelerate in capacity and acclaim, until they meet the criteria to face someone in a league like yours." "I will give this off due consideration." - Excerpt from 'The Founding of S4, Notable Contributors to the School and their motives.'
One of my favorite tricks I played on my players was when they encountered a fang dragon wyrm. He didn't consider them a threat or a target to be hunted, so he decided to mess with them a bit. In exchange for a boon, he challenged them to survive his breath. The players were unfamiliar with grey dragons, so they were hesitant but eventually decided to accept the challenge. The dragon then belched on them and laughed before giving them a few of his shed scales for amusing him.
I do like the idea of a dragon not having a breath weapon, but as I was watching this an idea came to mind that says "What if breath weapon byt inversed?" So the bite already drains hit points right? What if instead of exhaling some magical energy like fire or acid or lightning, the gray dragon turns that drain effect into a suction force. A cone of necrotic damage that is basically just the it siphoning the life force of the creatures in front of it as it inhales. Plus the idea of describing a dragon roaring backwards as it does its breath weapon is really fun and sounds like it would be fun to do the noise for as well.
For treasure in the dragon's hoard, I would suggest trophies from its hunts, Predator-style. I like the idea of trinkets that remind it of its hunts, but I'd go even more explicitly trophies: Horns and claws and stingers, maybe even entire heads, whatever the monster was iconic for, from some of its favorite prey over the years, maybe even mounted if its particularly refined. Imagine walking into a dragon lair and finding another dragon's head mounted on the wall, alongside a purple worm stinger, displacer beast tentacles and a rack of unicorn horns.
Combined with invisibility and the vocal mimic... While the party is looking at the trophies, they hear a throaty whisper "turn around" followed by laughter. And the survivors, if they get back to town and are able to bury their friends, "want some candy". If you're going to go Predator, go with it.
Just an idea, but considering how much gray dragons enjoy their hunting, but as they get older and more experienced they have a harder time finding worthy prey, I can imagine older gray dragons taking on a humanoid form that lacks their powerful draconic advantages and constantly learning to use all sorts of new weapons and combat styles just to make their hunts more challenging.
Barbarian: I rage, then swing my axe into that dragon face! DM: you hit directly into his jaw one of his fangs falls, but then look at you and smirk you see the gray dragon polymorph into you, pickup his tooth and rage
Grey dragon disguised as a merchant sells all the insanely powerful magic items he’s gotten from those he’s killed in an attempt to grow the strength of adventures enough to make them worthy opponents. After the party beats the big bad he decides they are strong enough, super high level post campaign boss fight ensues.
I misread the thumbnail as "Gary Dragons" and my disappointment is immeasurable. I can't wait to use one of these in my games, the idea of a dragon so devoted to being a hunter is incredibly cool!
Yea i noticed that too, weird that he didn't bring it up in the vid at all. The elongated ears, iconic fangs, life drain, and blood vomit that he included in the lair actions all give a pretty heavy imagery. Would be interesting if their lairs were like large-scale mirrored mazes and they wouldn't show up in the mirrors bc vampire so they would be invisible until they're right on the party and then rush back in to the maze. Guerilla hunting tactics, slowly bleed the prey dry until they're very weak then wreak havoc.
Was literally just thinking could play as a gray dragon transformed into a pc and train up the group there journeying with only to near the end battle that group
I really love the idea of a party unknowingly stumbling upon a Grey Dragon lair. On a large and desolate hilltop, amongst the barren rocks and gravel you see countless piles of skeletal remains. Many of which are humanoid, some of which are exotic creatures that you have never seen with their flesh intact. Among the countless bones you find a stone alcove where a single humanoid skeleton is propped up with much more respect and consideration than the rest. At the skeleton’s feet is a black sword, seemingly made of a strange obsidian like substance. Exotic runes are etched onto blade and hilt of the sword, with the pommel being an absurdly large pearl. You decide to take the blade, knowing such a strange and exotic sword would be worth a handsome sum of gold. Three weeks into your travel towards town, you cannot shake the feeling of being watched. On occasion, when you camp for the night, you hear the faint flapping of wings in the distance. One morning you wake up to what seems to be an earthquake. You emerge from your tent, a myriad of human corpses strewn on the ground. Above them sits a regal dragon of stony complexion, his grinning mug supporting a sea of sword like teeth. “Finally!” The dragon’s voice booms across the countryside, “I finally found those responsible for taking my most prized trophy. The others claimed innocence, and they made for good snacks, but your lot will make a wonderful addition to my trove.”
Oh you should replace a night or two of the wings with faint cries of terror/pain or sound of battle carried from far away into their camp upon a night breeze.
I like the idea of the sword being left as deliberate bait, the idea being that anyone who saw that place would recognize it as a dragon's lair and anyone who would steal from it was either a foolhardy idiot or someone brave and strong enough to feel like they could handle the dragon when it comes looking for its treasure.
I immediately thought of a plot idea when you began talking about them being willing to make beneficial deals: The party gets a "friendly" Bard NPC who "just wants to record their legend" as they grow and overcome challenges. In truth, this bard serves a Grey dragon and raises bands of adventurers to states where they would make for a worthy challenge for the dragon. Depending on the party and how you play it, maybe the NPC outright tells them that's what they're doing and provides aid like a powerful patron or they keep it secret until the fight is coming.
that would be such a cool idea, the bard eventually becomes a party favorite npc, then the betrayal Partys about to defeat the BBEG, In their final breath they mention the "Dastardly Bard" who fed them info about the party. Party confronts the Bard, or the Bard lets the facade fall telling them the Grey dragons either coming for them, or waiting for them in its lair so many options for story xD
This is my favorite "lost dragon" of editions past. I've actually used them in a campaign: the idea being that Tiamat started "converting" the grey dragons by giving them a acidic breath weapon, but in return, they must go on and kill the fang dragons that refused her gift. So the party found this ancient grey dragon that was searching for a mate while constantly having to take down their converted brethren, wrecking havoc where it passed.
I had an Young Grey Dragon named Tonash in my 5e game, he was an foolhardy but dangerous dragon that was captured before the party encountered him, he was in a giant box chained up, the party got too curious and unleashed him and he throttled the party, got bored with the fight and then charged off to wreak havok in the city until a ancient Red Dragon rolled up and sent him running with his singed tail tucked between his legs (the red dragon was a tyrant the government paid tributes too for “protection” and this was the closest she ever came to protecting the city)
Lore idea: Gray Dragons, also known as Stone Dragons, straddle the divide between chromatic and metallic dragons, acting as neutral enforcers of the few rules draconic society imposes. Any dragon that defies an edict of Bahamut or Tiamat may find themselves the subject of a Gray Dragon's Grand Hunt. Of those, Dragons that extend their life through unnatural means, (denying their divine parent the power of their soul) are a Gray Dragon's favorite prey. As they are resistant to many of the Gray's strengths, they pose the exact sort of challenge Elder Gray's long for.
The gray dragon would become yet another undead thrall of Daurgothoth in short order. You would need a whole flight of gray dragons to tackle Imvaernarhro.
Shit I remember my DM using this in our 3.5 game. Basically the way my DM has their setting established is that "dungeons" are conscious entities that channel magical forces to create challenges inside of them- the dungeon is defeated by destroying the core inside of it. We were in a "dragon" dungeon and the DM described how there was a fang dragon guarding the core. We rolled our history checks and basically came to the description Dungeon Dad had- we all so terrified of it that we didn't even bother fighting it- we didn't even get a look at it! (Our DM does NOT shy away from ability damage and bleeding, so we knew he wasn't fucking around.) We had an item that allowed us to teleport it somewhere else, and we decided to throw it into the lair of a dragon god we had met before that we actually made a deal with. The core was horrified at what we did, and begged not to be destroyed as we walked up to it unopposed- we did anyway because it was causing problems. Dragons in this setting do not like each other. Thankfully it didn't come back up by the time the game ended..
Early encounter: party does something to tweak the nose of a big bad. Big bad sends a grey dragon. Grey dragon kicks party around, realizes party isn’t worth their time, goes back to big bad pissed off.
Depending on how the dm let’s that shake out, maybe the grey dragon comes back late game when the party stands a chance, maybe the grey dragon only doesn’t kill the big bad themselves to use the party as scouts for it or something to lure the big bad.
The idea for the Gray Dragon combat feels somewhat familiar to Nergigante, an elder dragon species from Monster Hunter World, that specialize in hunting other elder dragons. It fight with pure brute strength, with claws, tail, and fangs, it also has an ability to shoots spikes at the enemy. As for their habit of enjoying the thrill of a hunt, and collecting trophy from every hunt/kill, it is similar to what a Yautja (Predator) will likely do after each hunt. Maybe a Gray Dragon society from different plane, and the young ones enter the prime material plane for training.
I LOVE this, a perfect addition to my terrifying stat blocks. Totally agree with them not having breath weapons, my reasoning is that they have a void-esque emptiness inside them in the place of other’s breaths, allowing for their soul-draining abilities and petrification. Not sure exactly where I heard this, but my impression was Tiamat created Grey Dragons as a response to the Fang Dragons tainted by the abyss. Not to be outdone, she created them to hunt all the Fangs down and rid them off the face of the planes. Thus, super hunt drives. In my setting I have them hunting down other dragons Tiamat sees as impure (along with challenging foes) such as the Lernea’s three-headed boys you covered. Desolate steps filled with the petrified corpses of majestic three headed dragons? Tantalising.
A fang dragon would be perfect as a serial-killing dragon. It's extremely rare for sk's to not want to be close to their kills, and not having/not using a breathe weapon really fits hat bill.
Personally I would make the 4e version as a Mad Wizard trying to recreate a Gray dragon under there control but only knowing that it was "Black Dragon + Demonic energy" and getting it not quite right. You could have a story where the party is hired by a True Gray dragon to help kill this false gray dragon because it is immune to the true dragons attacks and abilities for some reason, so the part to take them down but the True gray could help teach them tactics to take it down. (Getting a temporary mentor that could help you gain a permanent +1 to survival & tracking checks or the like if you RP it right.)
The TH-camr Mr. Rhexx actually came up with a pretty cool idea relating to the distinction between Fang and Gray dragons. At some point Tiamat thought Fang dragons to be weak so she “Blessed” the eggs of some fang dragons to hatch as Gray dragons instead, now with a breath weapon. Gray dragons have an instinctual desire to hunt Fang dragons so the only species left would be the improved Gray dragon as apposed to the “weak” fang dragon.
Whilst this is a fine logical explanation, I've always found it a little bit lame in terms of handling the concept of the monster. We get a Dragon that is unique for not having a breath weapon to speak of, and what happens to it? It gets hunted to extinction by the version of it that DOES have a breath weapon. Great. Cool.
@@KonoGufo the way I changed it was the gray dragons lost some of their strength to gain a breath weapon. They are still stronger than other chromatics but the fang dragon is far stronger physically then them and way stronger than other dragons. I also made it so fang dragons weren't just hunted by gray dragons but all dragons devoted to tiamat. Otherwise it wouldn't make sense that this new race of dragons could take on much older and smarter dragons just because they could breath acid.
@@necro6767676 I like that! That's more or less the way I like to style things with them too, ie. making them competitors to Gray Dragons rather than inferior copies of them. That way the Grays expand the variety of the dragon roster without invalidating the unique status of the original Fang Dragon; and it makes the party paranoid when they see a Gray Dragon lol. Cuz then they don't really know what they're up against on first sight; are they going to be torn to shreds, or are they going to be melted by acid?
You know, it might be interesting to have gray dragons technically have a breath weapon, but they’re so obsessed with close combat and the hunt that they refuse to use it even when on death’s door
If I may make a recommendation for a monster I suggest the Steel Dragon. They're a metallic sub-species that lives most of their life under a variety of humanoid disguises and while they are primarily lawful neutral they can be good or evil so they can fit multiple roles to fit whatever the DM wants.
Besides the Brown dragons. Yes! Other non ferrous lesser known metallics aswell. Like : Mithril, Mercury, Adamantine and Orium dragons. And for missing Gem dragons? : Jacinth, Citrine, Ruby, Obsidian, Jade and Amber.. Though Amber isnt reeealy a gem just hardened tree sap and too similar color to orange Topaz, yellow Citrine etc
Steel dragons have maxed out requests so they should be done sometime this year. Don't quote me on it though. Dragon videos unfortunately take a while to convert, script, record, and edit.
@@odinulveson9101 Steel, obsidian, and brown (sand) dragons have maxed out for requests. Most of the other ones you've mentioned are on the list as well, but Citrine isn't on the list at all for D&D dragons released by TSR/WotC. What's its source? You're the first person to request the jacinth, but I know the source for that one.
The momento ideas are endless. Imagine having your party travelling through the wilderness only to stumble across a series of caves filled with all sorts of skeletons. Metal af
Personally, I love the ferrous dragon species. Favorite's the Chromium dragons, in part because it'd be genuinely Hellish to hear a DM describe how "you see a reflective silver flash streak across the sky. As it gets closer you realize this is a dragon," only for that DM to continue with "as it passes overhead, a twenty-foot long bolt of solid ice crashes into [sacrificial lion NPC or part of your camp]".
I actually got to play with a grey dragon as a villain once! He was known for keeping the shoes of his prey after killing them, and we were tasked with stealing back a pair of magic boots cobbled by a wealthy gnome’s grandfather
I love the idea of a gray dragon using it's ability to mimic to mess with the party. As an intelligent creature there is nothing to say it couldn't find people they care about as it hunts the party. Then it could taunt the party with the voices of their loved ones during the fight.
A fun 'quirk' for one might be that it always addresses someone in conversation with that person's own voice. Bonus layer: That voice sounds more childish the more you've annoyed them and more distinguished the more they respect you. Because they're that good at modulating the sound. (And they change the word choices to match.)
An Ancient Gray Dragon hunting demons in the Abyss might be pretty cool. Powerful demons like Balors and Klurichurs are definitely worthy prey, after all. Imagine a low-ish level party just wandering in the Abyss and you see an Ancient Gray Dragon feasting on a Balor, and then later on they learn more about that particular dragon and how it terrorizes the realms, searching all planes for worthy feasts as the party slowly builds up dread realizing that they are going to have to fight that dragon, and it ends up being a major boss battle. Awesome encounter buildup throughout a campaign. Maybe the party finds out that this dragon has notably stolen several powerful magic items among all the random stuff, and the party goes to steal it while the dragon's out hunting. Then, as the party is poking around, they will see the dragon begin to fly in from the distance. They try to escape, but it's too late. The party has no way of getting out of the lair before the speedy dragon gets there, with the party far from the entrance and the dragon getting closer by the second. The party's only option is to fight.
One thing that crosses my mind a bit is how alignments can shift for dragons depending on circumstances while keeping nature relatively consistent. There was a story the youtuber 'All Things DnD' covered about a black dragon hatchling being raised by IIRC a lawful good character and how that shaped alignment for the dragon. It crossed my mind a bit listening to this--gray dragons love challenges and difficult battles. The harder the better. When the world can be extremely cruel, dark, and unforgiving at times, preserving innocence/staying good, kind, and hopeful in the face of that takes more effort than just giving up and going with the tide. It might be neat to have either a very young or very old gray dragon get confronted with the idea and like, spend some of their stalking/recon time evaluating the condition of the world to determine whether it's harder to preserve good or push evil overall. It's possible to just go case-by-case and battle-by-battle too, but philosophically that could be a lot of fun to mess with. And then there's also the idea of limits tied to good making things harder compared to unfettered evil. Basically, on top of 'this would be a challenging fight' I think there could be really fun plot hooks on these dudes too.
I'm giving it a" breath weapon" sort of just spitting up loose teeth in a sort range burst. The sea of fangs line makes me think it's like a shark always loosing teeth but it's a dragon so they just grow back.
@@msf2399don’t some birds have a pouch in their throat that they store rocks in to better break down food. So maybe the gray dragon has a similar pouch in stores loose teeth in that it can then shoot out at high speeds, but because those teeth I imagine don’t immediately grow back it might only be able to do this once per day, it still puts emphasis them primarily fighting physically, and in that case to could also make this ‘teeth breath’ have that on a failed save the teeth lodge them self in to the target imposing disadvantage on attack roll and maybe even saving throws and reduce their speed by half or more. This breath can be used as a last ditch effort to ensure their prey doesn’t get away.
A fun idea might be a dragon or even a group of dragons that paint themselves to look like other dragons. So a more taxonomical eye would need to distinguish them. You couldn’t just look at the color.
@@youtubecensorship842 I suppose I don’t know the lore of D&D as well as others might, but at least in these videos, he’s repeatedly said that the various colors of other dragon are born from combinations of two dragons.
@@youtubecensorship842 Actually, there was a type of dragons in some of the older versions that would do that they were called Lindworms and they would purposely describe them selves using disguises these disguises would allow them to hunt while maintaining piece that their own layer, because they wouldn’t be being looked for a white dragon or a metallic dragon would be being looked for
Ah the Grey Dragons. I remember AJ Pickett’s lore videos on these SOBs. This makes me want to give an adult one a ring of invisibility and throw it at a high level party.
@@z_is_for_zombie7423 that's the case should Gray dragons first priority is hunting other dragons then the party greater the threat, greater the danger, greater the trophy. Also you going the predator route make their hunting ground a region of strafe.
I do like the idea of no breath or anti-breath for the gray dragon, and I also like the idea of petrification breath (over acid breath). Even a merger of the two, e.g. a breath that pulls players in through force damage and can petrify them, would be interesting...there are too many options! I'll have to think about this one for a bit. Thanks for delivering on the fan service as promised in the outros, Dad 😅
It'd be cool if the fang dragon had a breath weapon that was just a Line of its fangs shooting out? Piercing damage breath weapon. It would go well with the more martial style of attack it has, and out of the three main physical types of damage, Piercing is probably the easiest to make into a breath weapon
For a breath weapon, I find it interesting to apply the shadow dragon stat block. Not across the board, mind you, grey dragons as a whole won't have the alteration or any breath attack. But say if they are going to be fighting multiple grey dragons in a campaign, might throw in a shadowfell touched grey dragon to mix things up. Gray dragons have a bite attack that drains ones vitality and restores the dragon, great, now they have a breath weapon that does the same thing, but also could potentially bring those from the dead into specters under the dragon's control.
I like to imagine as one wanders within the lair of a gray dragon that each item it touches brings with it a distant memory of the hunt that brought it into the dragon's collection. Like the sense of nostalgia that comes with a song from your childhood or a familiar scent.
For some weird reason, it seams it would be a hilarious way of saving the party from accidental TPK. Fang dragon swoops in, uses enemy that it was tracking for days as a liquid mouthwash (regardless of enemies form before getting between its teeth) and leaves (or demands a memento as a payment).
Honestly keeping in theme of combining dragons i think it would be cool to give it a cold blooded type thing that makes it impossible to track with magic and make the claws deal acid damage. it keeps the theme of it being a physical hunter but it feels more like a combo dragon without a breath weapon
I have a dragon idea for you that I introduced back in the '80s; a brown dragon whose breath weapon was hot tar. The first saving throw was for the breath itself and if you failed that, another save for being stuck to the spot and if you failed that, another save to keep your mouth and nose clear of the tar. Many brave adventurers died that day I'm afraid.
Instead of a lair full of random items taken as mementos, how about a lair of trophies? Sort of like the white dragon, but much more sophisticated. I'd even consider that he keeps his Stone breath, but only can use it when he is interacting with a dead corpse. Or maybe if you are killed by a gray Dragon, the exact moment of your death is Frozen in time and immortalized in stone. And the dragon takes your stone remains to its lair, and its Lair is full of dead bodies as trophies. Without a breath weapon, the Great Dragon could easily just take the head of the creature to be placed on its walls. The reason you might want to go to a gray Dragon's Lair is to get access to a whole bunch of different species. Sometimes species that don't even exist anymore, that the gray dragon has completely hunted into Extinction. Thousands of potion ingredients that no longer exist anywhere else. Pieces of old deceased races, that the gray Dragon either maintains in stone, or by giving some of its additional life essence through a bite, rejuvenates it's trophies. Or it could just be taxidermy.
I like this. You could pull a bait and switch with the party who thinks they're in the lair of a much less powerful creature (basilisk, Medusa, gorgon).
I ran the gray dragon as a bounty hunter where, like Fett freezing people in carbonite, my gray dragon petrified people for transport. The party first saw him bringing in his bounty to a large city but then again when he was hired by a lich to kill them.
I feel like they should have a breath that heals or prevents death, because it's a hunter and while being petrified is horrifying, a dragon that wants to cripple you and place you in their collection of starving heroes for all eternity is a terrifying thought.
Going off the idea of Gray dragons being half Black dragon half White dragon. Nitric acid Breathe would be an interesting breath weapon for a gray dragon. So essentially the breath is used to chill solid objects but is relatively harmless to living creatures unless they touch a chilled object at which point they freeze to an object the creatures body temperature then triggers the object to thermally explode.
What if instead of breath attacks. The Acid and petrification attack is Saliva, Like a Komodo dragons. It coat it's mighty fangs with a saliva that melts through enemy's armor.
At some point I'd love to see you cover the ferrous dragons, as they contain my favorite dragon, the Cobalt Dragon. It has all the traits I've wanted to see in a dragon: it's blue, frilly, noodly, has an affinity for electricity, and can breathe water. Also, the idea of firing a magnetic beam has only become cooler to me over time, but maybe that's just because I recently finished the Expanse Series. Personally I'd modify the beam to deal half-force and half-electricity damage in order to distinguish it from any potential force dragon adaptations. Also I'd probably add a caveat that cobalt dragons are immune to the their own breath weapon as well as other magnetism-based attacks, but that's getting too deep into the nitty-gritty.
The ferrous dragons, especially the cobalt dragon, are definitely on the list. He's got about four pages worth of dragon requests, and some have even maxed out as guaranteed to be covered.
The first thing I thought of while listening to this was that this dragon would be an AMAZING background force in a long campaigns. Not only could background stories be influenced by this monster going around and hunting down characters, it would be amazing to freak a party out early on. Have the party encounter the dragon at super low level, the dragon doesn’t fight them because it wouldn’t be worth the time, and then have it hunt the party down once they’re strong enough. Maybe even start that encounter with the grey dragon using its mimic skill to repeat something a PC said when they first talked to it.
I think I am going to run a Ancient Grey Dragon who is a kind of mentor/trainer for the party. The dragon realised after centuries of hunting that it was running out of satisfying fights. So he takes on a goku like out look on Fighting “don’t kill, because you can fight them again later of they live”
one thing for all you FFXIV players, Zenos yae Galvus is a "gray dragon". Our DM made a disguised gray dragon the leader of an adventurers guild. After killing her greatest rival, she was unable to surpass or recreate the experience for a millenium. She went through her rivals belongings and read his jounal. This helped her learn to fill her feeling of emptiness with other things in life, especially through the thoughts of the one person she truly respected . Altho she mellowed out, her instincts coax her to test rising advenutrer stars. Our Party wasnt worthy to be tested by her, however extremist nobles hired a hag coven . They sacrificed a barbarian tribe, who were descendants of her rival to make a mindless rage curse.
Ngl getting heavy Nergigante (mh world) vibes. No breath weapon, hunts other elder dragons, lots of spikes, hits like a truck. Wakes up and chooses violence.
So: it is a dragon that uses raw strenght and spikes instead of Breath weapons, has grey/ black color sceme , and has some sort of connection to life energy (in the case of the grey dragon its the bite that drains life energy). That is probably the inspiracion behind nergigante from monster hunter world.
I've been researching folklores from across the world to see there's anything good to bring into dnd and I found a lot of good stuff: Spring Heeled Jack, El Silbon or The Whistler", Jersey devil, Mothman, Bigfoot, Peluda, Wolperting, Dobhar-ch'u, Alma, Tatzelwurm, hippocampus, Basajaun, Ahool, Grindilow, Basan, Buru, Bloodfang, El chupacbra or "The Goatsucker" Bunyip, Kongamato, Howler, Dingonek, Emela-Ntouka, Ours Naudi, Mapinguari, Minhoc'ao, Yowie, Skunk ape, Mokele-Mbembe, Strzyga, Snallygaster, Zmey (it's russian for dragon but is often portrayed as having two legs, two wings, a forked tail, three serpentine heads and quills coating it's back. I personally think it would be cool if they were considered abominations by other/true dragons), Bieda, Leshy, Vobyanoy, draugr and Nain Rouge. Feel free to use any of these in your videos. Also could you do Positive Energy Dragons and Negative Energy Dragons?
He most just converts monsters from Pathfinder 1e and old D&D monsters. Most of these would need to be originally done. Some of them are in Pathfinder already so they can be added to the list. The howler is in 5e's Monsters of the Multiverse, chupacbra is in Plane Shift: Ixalan, and hippocamp is in Mythic Odysseys of Theros. Also, there's no immediate listing of positive or negative energy dragons. Where would one find a source on that?
Maybe now you can do the forgotten metallic dragons. We'd be very interested to see that given that steel ans mithryl dragons actually played pretty important rolls in our own D&D campaigns.
Steel has maxed out the requests so theoretically should be done this year. Just gotta space it out as dragons take so much to convert, script, record, and edit. Mithral hasn't been requested much, but nickel and mercury have a few. No one's requested onyx or other dragons. I was kind of shocked.
Nice video, I believe that we have had nearly every color except for the brown dragons (aka sand dragons). As for the grey dragons, one way you can use them is maybe to make a hunting contest or tournament, that is secretly orchestrated by a grey dragon as a way to find a worthy target, as the winners seem the most worthy and powerful to be slain.
Paused the video before going to get food, figured "He said the most dangerous game, so it's going to be obsessed with either hunting or playing games, but it's probably hunting" Had the idea of a "Gray dragon" being a dragon influenced by the shadowfell, having its color and its joy sapped out of it, so it uses a petrifying stone breath to turn people into game pieces to try to beat its depression by harvesting the suffering of others AND I TYPED THIS LITERALLY SECONDS BEFORE 4E GAVE THEM PETRIFYING MAGIC
Imagine, a grey dragon being behind the adventures guild, using its wealth to fund it so they constantly have they're favorite food source being farmed
I really wish Kinder dragons were officially published somewhere because I would love to see you do a video on them. I'm fairly certain they are something my Dad made up. They are actually uniquely nomadic, as when they hatch they imprint on another creature and only mate when they meet up with another of their kind, simply leaving the egg behind to hatch alone. They get their name because they are much smaller then normal dragons, I think they only grow to a max of large, and have a mane of hair that resembles a topknot. Probably the coolest thing about them is their breath weapon. They get two: sovereign glue and oil of slipperiness. The logic being they evolved to primarily spray the glue and the oil was to cout their insides so they didn't gunk up their internal organs. Over time they developed the ability to spay the oil out as well.
@@KevinVideo Sorry your right. I took three years of German. Kinder is the German word for child and I'm fairly certain that is where the word Kender comes from since they are described as looking like elf children and have very much child-like behavior. I appreciate that correction but I never thought Kender dragons were official. Like I said, they were something I think my Dad made up, all though another family friend might actually be the real originator, and they are definitely not half dragons. Half dragons just give to the core race draconic qualities of the draconic parent, it does not usually create an interiorly different dragon kind.
I am glad I watched this. One of my favorite characters way back was based on a Fang Dragon using the Half Dragon Template in 3rd edition or ADnD (I'm old). The DM wasn't boring :) Half Dragon half Minotaur. Was an experiment of a wizard. It ultimately did not end well for the wizard. There was a lot more magic shenanigans involved, but he was a beast of pure ferocious power. He had the health drain bite. He had to use it often to help counteract a modified Carapace (coffin shell fungus). Was a fun story, and fun character.
This made me think of a cross over with Monster Hunter lmao since Ive seen folk make it a dnd deal before. I just imagine the Guild wanting to keep under-wraps usually the Black Dragons especially upon the rumors of a Dark armored Hunter causing mayhem amongst the ecosystems/villages/whatever really they come across. So amongst the top hunters, player party Hunters, and or non-guild ones underground (Aka Bounty H ones too) it's been picking up speed that a mad hunter is the newest prize. Given capcoms love of "And so a portal randomly appeared and sucked in etc character into the MH World" Perhaps a fang dragon has made its living for some time now and through "connections" via dragon cults probably hears about the mad dark-armored hunter. Thing is because such time has passed and the knowledge learned via cults it knows EXACTLY what armor that hunter likely has and sees this as the hunt of a lifetime to face the black dragon being "reborn" if the storys are true.
A hunter with (selective) vocal mimicry & a trophy collector, eh? Give it the ability to cloak, and you've got your‑self a truck‑sized Yautja (or Predator) with wings. Radical, man. 😎
If I was to give the grey dragon a breath weapon, I'd make it just do a cone of faerie fire, or musk, that would prevent stealth or invisibility. Helping it with it's being the ultimate hunter.
Please do the deep dragon (purple) that is not a drow, or breaths plasma. This version had flesh corrosive gas as a breath, lived in the underdark and could phase targets it attacks through stone to separate the party.
Mini campaign idea: the party falls off their ship during a storm and washes up on an island. A strange aristocratic man with an odd accent, “Master Zaroff”, offers to let them stay on his private island until the next ship arrives in a week/month/whatever time frame the DM wants. The party goes to sleep and is quickly woken up by a servant who apologizes and says they need to run and that the Master will give them til morning to get ready before he’s “on the wing”. Cue “Master Zaroff” shifting to his draconic form and hunting the Most Dangerous Game.
I saw the name and was hoping it would be thr Greyhawk Dragon. I really like those. They are everything I love about silver dragons but without the "from the sidelines" nature and without being tied down to being "nice"
Greyhawk dragons are definitely on the list. I'm told that their name was changed/retconned in 4e because WotC is separating itself from anything not related to the Forgotten Realms. Hopefully we'll see it eventually covered.
This. Is. Perfect! For weeks, I've had an idea of a legendary Paladin, literally the First Paladin of the Order, whose petrified body is kept in a temple as a Relic, and no magic has ever been able to restore her to living flesh. Never heard of a gray dragon before, and now it's bite/breath weapon petrifies? It all works. But now, the trick is to find the grey dragon and use it's blood to bathe her in it. Why has no one thought of it until now? I'm envisioning Gandalf doing research in a dusty scroll library, looking for that one piece of info, that one mention of "precious" that explains the dragon. Maybe some adventurer fought it a thousand years ago, and later wrote "The dragon stood over me, and spit, saying I was a weak failure compared to his last conquest. I know not whom he meant."
Since I've seen you do Pathfinder unique creatures to be converted to 5e, I'd be very interested in seeing you do the Aligned Dragons. The Dragons that are also native outsiders from the outer planes. Paradise Dragons, Havoc Dragons, Edict Dragons, Apocalypse Dragons, Infernal Dragons. There's one for each specific alignment.
There's also the Crypt planar dragons. I'll be sure to note them and put them down on the his discord list. Typically we add three new requests per person, however, paradise dragons have been requested twice already so I'll add your name beside that, and put the rest down as well. But, yes, he does add the Pathfinder 1e monsters to his list as well.
I think it would be cool if the petrify "breath weapon" was a super close range intimidation based attack rather than a more magical one like most dragons. Immagine you get pinned by a huge dragon and as it looms over you it jaws spread into a hungry grin. As it does you peer into its maw and the sea of teeth within. Bone is lodged between teeth, tattered cloth clings to gums, and the stench of old meat is overwhelming. I'd be frozen probably...
Every time I think you've done the best possible idea, your next vid comes along and blows it out of the water. I had forgotten about these things, but now I have a wonderful, awful, terrible idea.
I added a few things to my gray dragon, I liked the idea that they can mimic sounds they hear, so I added a whole sound manipulation aspect, instead of a breath weapon it has a sonic attack that can disorient and knock out stuff or even shatter things if done hard enough, as well as the fact it has the ability to fly completely silently like an owl. Also it has a limited scrying like ability so it always has a clear sense of how to try and locate its mark, so it will always know roughly where your at if it's tracking you. I also made these dragons lore state their gray because its very neutral, their scales have the unique property of shifting pigments though so they have a natural chameleon like ability to hide, not true invisibility or anything, but in a night time encounter they can be truly terrifying. These dragons also always build a dedicated group of followers that aid it in hunts, it uses them like hunting dogs to flush prey out of areas it can't get at like caves and such. Lastly some of these dragons may have sought out aid from daurgathoth and been bestowed an ability for a magic disruption field that makes spells harder to cast with a chance to fail when cast near the dragon in exchange for them operating as agents for daurgathoth wo aquire things he may require. I turned these things into relentless hunters with plenty of plot hooks.
Fun idea: since it doesn't have a breath attack and it is capable of mimecking sounds, why don't make them roar so loud to do fisical damage? The more metal you have on the more damaging the attack is as it makes armour and weapons vibrate, the dragon could use this trait to weaponize its surroundings as it lures the party inside a cave or a canyon where the sound can echo off the walls for great distances, confusing and damaging the party, wich doesn't know where the threat is coming from. Maybe the dragons' claws are also good for digging, a trait they could use to ambush preys from below, build traps and create disposable nests to rest when traveling for wathever reason, they could also enjoy digging mazes inside mountains, filling them with traps and ramains of their kills, and then lure preys wich they chase after in some kind of sick hunting game. Another cool thing could be these dragons mating ritual, they could be seeking powerfull preys like demons, great beasts and even other dragons just so they can petrify their remains and use them as statues that show their skill as hunters to a potential mate visiting their nest. The idea of "Predator" dragon is too damn cool.
I imagine gray dragons don't get along very well with other dragons. Any other dragon : "offhand comment about lack of breath" Gray dragon : Proceeds to maul them like a pitbull to a toddler.
Your videos about Tiamat's sister and the forgotten chromatic dragons have given me ideas for a campaign themed around them. I'm still in the camp of "every true dragon needs a breath weapon", especially if I have grey dragons as the result of black dragons and white dragons interbreeding, but I much prefer the petrifying breath since it's more unique. If I ever go through with this idea and still want to add the petrifying breath, I think I'd just use the Monster Manual gorgon's petrifying breath as a blueprint, since it also recharges on a 5-6 like a dragon's breath weapon already. The DC would be based on 8 + HALF of the dragon's proficiency bonus + the dragon's Constitution modifier (so DC 13 for wyrmling, DC 16 for young, DC 19 for adult, and DC 22 for ancient), and the range would be a 15 ft cone for wyrmling, 30 ft cone for young, 60 ft cone for adult and 90 ft cone for ancient. I feel like adding the dragon's whole profifiency bonus to the DC would make the breath weapon too strong, but I don't know for sure.
Funny side quest idea: a town gets completely run amok from the thieves guild, setting up their quarters for assassins in their town. There used to be a grey dragon that stalked the lands and made the more terrifying enemies stay clear, but now that dragon is gone and the town is up for grabs essentially. They beg the party to see what happened to that dragon, as they'd much prefer the dragon ironically over the thieves guild. So they head out and find the grey dragon pretty quickly, and it turns out the dragon is just depressed and feels like they're stuck in a rut. If the party makes the dragon feel not like shit anymore and get back to the hunt they once loved, the dragon will reward them...by hunting them at the end of the campaign once they've become true worthy opponents lol
For all the FFXIV players who may come through: What I'm hearing is that Grey dragon's are 'Zenos' Dragons. 😅 Really though thank you for this, they sound pretty awesome! I've been wanting to include and flesh out a dragon encounter in my homebrew campaign and I think this would fit really well.
I played one in a game where he had spirits bard esque features to represent strong prey he's hunted and taken trophies from, he was depicted as an elderly appearing huntsman the party who was trecking through their territory because an organization had taken up roots for added safety as an agreement between the organization and the dragon because anyone wanting to take them down would likely be a good hunt, this deal ended when the party showed their potential to the dragon who let them live giving them a promise that they'd inevitably be there one day for a truly good fight, basically what if goku hunted people for sport and waits for people to get stronger so they can give them a great fight
I can see a Grey Dragon saving a village... from another dragon because the Grey sees the other dragon as "worthy prey." I can also imagine them being ferocious warriors during the Dragon/Giant wars.
Thanks for watching everyone
What monster would you like to see me cover next?
You can find the second channel here: www.youtube.com/@dungeondad2
I saw someone bring this up on another video, but have you considered the Skincrawler Dragon from PF1e?
AKA: “This dragon is full of spiders.”
AKA: “WHY THE HELL IS THIS STILL CONSIDERED A TRUE DRAGON INSTEAD OF AN UNDEAD SWARM?!? NOT LOVING THE IMPLICATIONS THERE!!!”
Oh! Also from PF -- the Akaruzug. A high level statue of a fallen angel, created by sacrificing a warrior inside it during creation, then powered by crucifying someone on the outside of it and taking their soul. Nothing like fighting a super evil gargoyle with you favorite shop keepers corpse strapped to it.
How is the spirit warrior thing going? I remember you were creating an expanded illustrated supplement.
Love the conversion! Just a heads up, I don't think you adjusted the Adult and Ancient categories + to hit bonuses, they're the same as the Young version, and don't account for the higher Strength score/proficiency bonus
You said you'd leave links to the other dragons in this comment, but they're not here :P
i like the idea of a gray dragons favorite trophy in its lair being a tree or a big rock or something like that. as its a reminder of the time it won so horrifically, so overwhelmingly, that there was nothing from its opponent(s) left to take, so it just grabbed whatever was nearest and flew off
That’s a badass idea
Since they like the fight I think they would value the harder fights. Like the sword of a great knight they fought within a multimeter of their life. Or even a preserved chunk of flesh that the warrior managed to slice off before they died
I'd imagine it used said rock or tree to win and now the object is stained
"Every day, a grey dragon wakes up and chooses violence"
beautiful quote
Story idea: An ancient Grey Dragon, tired of seeking out prey for itself, has entered the Space Between and enslaved the Bagmen that inhabit the plane. Now, the Bagmen serve as almost Game Wardens, bringing fresh prey into the Space Between for their draconic master to hunt at it's leisure. Today, the Bagmen have chosen the party as their masters next hunt.
All I am imagining now is a silver surfer Bagman because it kinda reminded me of how Galactus has people who come on to the planets before he eats them.
Permission to borrow this idea for a high level one shot? It’s a great story hook!
@@Drizztbc Dude, please, go for it!

So dead by daylight but the entity is a grey dragon
Man, imagine a gray dragon that takes in orphans and funds quests in order to create high level heroes for them to hunt.
That is absolutely *horrifying,* thank you for the idea!
"What did you say your fighter guild was called?"
"The Dragon Academy."
"You want me to help you fund a school."
"Yes. This will reduce losses by an order of magnitude, resulting in more worthy opponents over time."
"And how long will it take before I see results?"
"Well, from the graduation of the first batch, my calculations and divination suggest results in less than three decades."
"That seems awfully fast to me."
"That is because 'adventurer' growth isn't linear, it's quadratic. Once they get 'over the hump' so to speak, they rapidly accelerate in capacity and acclaim, until they meet the criteria to face someone in a league like yours."
"I will give this off due consideration."
- Excerpt from 'The Founding of S4, Notable Contributors to the School and their motives.'
"Now my children that you are strong powerful warriors you will have one last challenge before you can go free. Beat me or die."
Oh, my. Hisoka from Hunter X Hunter vibes, minus the Shwiiiing hopefully.
That is hilarious! I love shenanigans like that.
That is the single most hilarious thing I've heard in terms of use for a dragon in a long while. I am absolutely using that if I get the chance.
oh i love this
Fighter: **retching** "Man, this Improved Unarmed Strike ring better be godsdamn worth it..."
Adult grey dragon rolls in, one shots a party member, goes "hey, I was promised a worthy fight", leaves
I actually imagine the adventures stumbling upon the grey dragon's lair, to find a Predator head, nailed to the wall.
DM: you hit directly into his jaw one of his fangs falls, but then look at you and smirk
you see the gray dragon polymorph into you, pickup his tooth and rage
This idea actually fits the creature, unlike the silly "bagmen" comment
@@Michael-bn1oi Okay, we get it, you're one of a few that didn't like the bagmen idea. You don't have to be a fucking dick about it.

I misread the thumbnail as "Gary Dragons" and my disappointment is immeasurable. I can't wait to use one of these in my games, the idea of a dragon so devoted to being a hunter is incredibly cool!
The Gary dragon is too powerful for this world.
Gary?
Closely related to the Steve Dragons and Bob Dragons.
Normal Players: So, is this a dragon or a vampire?
Ed Greenwood: *YES*
Yea i noticed that too, weird that he didn't bring it up in the vid at all. The elongated ears, iconic fangs, life drain, and blood vomit that he included in the lair actions all give a pretty heavy imagery.
Would be interesting if their lairs were like large-scale mirrored mazes and they wouldn't show up in the mirrors bc vampire so they would be invisible until they're right on the party and then rush back in to the maze. Guerilla hunting tactics, slowly bleed the prey dry until they're very weak then wreak havoc.

@@gigachad8110 Probably didn't think of it because we also had vampiric dragons in the Draconomicon.
Was literally just thinking could play as a gray dragon transformed into a pc and train up the group there journeying with only to near the end battle that group
maybe fang dragon blood (or bits) can be used in a ritual to become/create vampires. Vampires don't have to be the original. ;)
I love this idea!
@@egregius9314 Thanks!
that would be such a cool idea, the bard eventually becomes a party favorite npc, then the betrayal
Partys about to defeat the BBEG, In their final breath they mention the "Dastardly Bard" who fed them info about the party.
Party confronts the Bard, or the Bard lets the facade fall telling them the Grey dragons either coming for them, or waiting for them in its lair
so many options for story xD
@@jamescanjuggle Exactly. The bard doesn't even have to be antagonistic to the party. "Either I made you strong enough to kill it, or it keeps going."
I adore this idea!
just imagine a dracolich fighting a gray dragon wielding a giant stone sword or some shit like that
The gray dragon would become yet another undead thrall of Daurgothoth in short order. You would need a whole flight of gray dragons to tackle Imvaernarhro.
@@jamesbellefeuille2926I do believe that if they're still alive that's also thanks to their stealth
@@matthieudeloget8998 Who are they?
Thankfully it didn't come back up by the time the game ended..
your explanation of the grey dragon being a mix of black and white is just TOO perfect!
Nergigante right!!
Imagine Nergy's theme play when you encounter a Grey Dragon
@@crowdemon_archives And then use the actual Nergigante action figure in the fight.

I think making the “petrifying” part of the gray dragon part of dragon fear is far more intimidating
That is a really cool idea.
The two of us looking at this stat block: “Ah, another fine addition for the collection”
Then the True hunts down the party as they proved themselves the worthiest of preys.
Brutal. Perfect
Ah I love Mr. Rhexx and his Port-eh-Folios XD
also this is a brilliant way to spin the lore in a game where your grays have the breath attack!
If you go by the original Dragon magazine releases, gray dragons had a charm breath and a paralysis breath, similar to a silver dragon's.

Gray dragons becoming proper Chromatics was one of the few things that I consider a win out of 4E.
The “You won’t set up a trap for THIS one!” Dragon
I thought the same thing!
Dunno, they seem to have too much pride in themselves and hatred of other colors to immersively do this.
A few might.
Greens, Blacks, I could see a White picking up the habit, and I always mix up Coppers and Brass but at least one of them all could
@@youtubecensorship842 I suppose I don’t know the lore of D&D as well as others might, but at least in these videos, he’s repeatedly said that the various colors of other dragon are born from combinations of two dragons.
@@youtubecensorship842
Actually, there was a type of dragons in some of the older versions that would do that they were called Lindworms and they would purposely describe them selves using disguises these disguises would allow them to hunt while maintaining piece that their own layer, because they wouldn’t be being looked for a white dragon or a metallic dragon would be being looked for
Ah the Grey Dragons. I remember AJ Pickett’s lore videos on these SOBs. This makes me want to give an adult one a ring of invisibility and throw it at a high level party.
You making them predators from the predator movie.
@@thomaskrogh1244 Exactly!
@@z_is_for_zombie7423 that's the case should Gray dragons first priority is hunting other dragons then the party greater the threat, greater the danger, greater the trophy. Also you going the predator route make their hunting ground a region of strafe.
@@thomaskrogh1244 Now I’m picturing that predator!Grey would go around wearing the bones of other dragons. Like armor or something.
@@z_is_for_zombie7423 hell that may how they attract mates during mating season the the more trophies the higher the chance for getting laid.
They're basically predators in dragon form. Would love to see artwork of a gray dragon in predator gear complete with shoulder mounted plasma cannon
Given that you said that you were fond of fallen empires the ferrous dragons or “heavy metal” dragons might be an interesting future product.
Just finished making my coffee and was wondering what I was going to watch, Good Morning ☕ and thank you!
Similar for me. Mornin
@@AntonsVoice hope your morning is going great!!
You might find more searching through his catalog of monsters, but here’s at least one of your requests.

I could see this dragon, instead of having a breath weapon, having a toxic bite that could inflict damage over time like a komodo dragon
Paused the video before going to get food, figured "He said the most dangerous game, so it's going to be obsessed with either hunting or playing games, but it's probably hunting"
Had the idea of a "Gray dragon" being a dragon influenced by the shadowfell, having its color and its joy sapped out of it, so it uses a petrifying stone breath to turn people into game pieces to try to beat its depression by harvesting the suffering of others
AND I TYPED THIS LITERALLY SECONDS BEFORE 4E GAVE THEM PETRIFYING MAGIC
A kind dragon?
*Puff The Magic Dragon has entered the chat*
@@nicks4802 No I do mean Kinder. It's the race that replaces the Halfling in Dragon Lance.
@@endormorre6567 You mean kender. And looking it up, kender dragons definitely aren't a thing. Half dragon, maybe.
The DM wasn't boring :)
Half Dragon half Minotaur.
Thank you for always making a 5e Conversion of these monsters!
Love the use of the Metroid Prime soundtrack in the title card for what is a gray dragon.
Magmoor Caverns is Goated, Dad, thank you for the reminder. Also, fantastic video as always
“They do have layers”

I'd love to see a video about Brown Dragons and Obsidian Dragons!
They're definitely coming at some point. They're maxed out for requests.
The magmoor caverns theme at 0:50 jumpscared me lol. Love these guys btw
Clicked for the lesser known Dragon Lore, stayed for the commentary and Gran Turismo 4 music in the background.
I like the idea of this dragon having an ability to camouflage in stone
A vampiric melee dragon that goes looking for fights. Yeah, okay, that's some fresh nightmare fuel.
Pandemonium dragon pls
I turned these things into relentless hunters with plenty of plot hooks.
what i wouldn't do for a prismatic dragon episode.
Trust me, I want it too. It's definitely on the list, just lower down on the requests.
Any other dragon : "offhand comment about lack of breath"
Gray dragon : Proceeds to maul them like a pitbull to a toddler.
EXCUSE YOU.
Pitbulls can be incredibly sweet and loving dogs.
I'd think they would have a fly by attack much like a master swordsman would test the defenses and skill of their opponent with a few probing attacks.
Really though thank you for this, they sound pretty awesome! I've been wanting to include and flesh out a dragon encounter in my homebrew campaign and I think this would fit really well.
Lmfao Zenos is not wrong
I played one in a game where he had spirits bard esque features to represent strong prey he's hunted and taken trophies from, he was depicted as an elderly appearing huntsman the party who was trecking through their territory because an organization had taken up roots for added safety as an agreement between the organization and the dragon because anyone wanting to take them down would likely be a good hunt, this deal ended when the party showed their potential to the dragon who let them live giving them a promise that they'd inevitably be there one day for a truly good fight, basically what if goku hunted people for sport and waits for people to get stronger so they can give them a great fight
Will this man ever run out of dragons
Yes... but not anytime soon lol
There's four pages of listed dragons on his requests file. It's going to be quite a while before that happens.
I can see a Grey Dragon saving a village... from another dragon because the Grey sees the other dragon as "worthy prey." I can also imagine them being ferocious warriors during the Dragon/Giant wars.
As always, I would love a 5e version of a Steel Dragon.
It'll happen eventually. It's on D-Dad's "maxed out requests" list.
