    I've been eating gluten free for almost 7 years and THIS BLEW MY MIND! I have not ever seen such a transformation but i guess on a low FODMAP diet i have skimmed past anything with psyllium but now i am re-thinking! THANKS!

      The Vegan Corner Hi, can you please make a muffin or something similar (bun?). Well, also Gluten free, filled with koshian. Something that can be enjoyed cold (as in school snack). Is this a possible task?

      +The Vegan Corner You're so very welcome!
      As someone who spends more time than I care to admit watching TH-cam videos, I see so many people haphazardly throwing videos together for the sake of uploading something to meet their schedule so I really appreciate a video that looks good and displays the time and effort put into creating it.

    I am not vegan but I Love your recipes, I use them with my friends who have some problems with some ingredients (milk, eggs or gluten, only one or combined) and they are always happy to be my guests because of your recipes. So, thank you so much to upload your video. Ps: My parents have diabetes so I need to replace sugar with fructose, without changing the amount, maybe you can add this thing in your "sweet" videos, for those vegan who have diabetes too.
    Thank you again and Bravo (or bravi if you are not alone : ))

      +PhilosopHer It is a pleasure to have you here, and thank you very much for watching our videos! can i do this same thing but for a bread loaf? or does it need to be in smaller form like rolls to cook thoroughly?

    • @thevegancorner
      @thevegancorner  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Vegfriendly Kitchen That's exactly right! You could make a loaf, but I fear it wouldn't cook properly in the middle. And by the time it is cooked thoroughly, the outer layer could be burned. However, this might also not be the case, so I would give it a try if I were you. Thanks for watching

    • @koreymoore542
      @koreymoore542 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      I tried this roll recipe and it was honestly the best bread recipe since going vegan (and gluten free). However, like I mentioned above with the loaf, it didn't cook all the way through. I did 4 rolls like you said, and I actually ended up cooking it longer than you recomended. I put them in for 20 min, then took them out. They weren't done so i put them in for an additional 10 min, then another 15 min, so 45 min total... Still a little doughy in the middle. Do you have any ideas as to what I did wrong? Other than the doughy texture however, the rolls were freakin delicious btw!

    • @thevegancorner
      @thevegancorner  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Vegfriendly Kitchen I'm glad you enjoyed the flavour of the bread! Unfortunately I have no idea about what could have caused that problem; I made these buns at least 100 times and I had plenty of issues before developing the recipe, but never with the cooking time. Did you make the recipe using a scale? The quality of the psyllium could also impact on the final result.

    • @koreymoore542
      @koreymoore542 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, I just used my 2020 vision and allowed gravity to pull my hand down away from my body when I loaded it up... and I used a couple small measuring cups. Hahaha, love the flavor though and maybe I'll have try it again. Would you suggest maybe a little less or more psyllium? also, could I maybe use this as a pizza crust seeing as how pizza crusts are flat and it should cook through? I swear this is my last questions lol!!

    • @thevegancorner
      @thevegancorner  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Vegfriendly Kitchen If you want to make a gluten-free pizza, I'd suggest you to follow the recipe we have on mini pizzas. Despite the fact that the recipe is about mini pizzas, you can definitely make a larger one out of the dough. In regard to the psyllium, you can definitely try to use more and see if that works out for you.

      +Alora Thanks! :) Do you mean mustard like dijon mustard? Or mustard powder?

    • @hobb_hobb
      @hobb_hobb 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes exactly, dijon mustard :)

    • @thevegancorner
      @thevegancorner  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Alora The preparations that require dijon mustard are really a lot. However, they never require a lot of it, so it will take some time to finish it :) Mustard goes really well with broccoli or with celeriac for example, so if you make a soup you can add some mustard in it. Another option could be to use it for a vinaigrette ;)

    Hi Vegan Corner! Great video and interesting recipe, I want to give it a try! I have a doubt : you wrote "instant yeast", is it correct? In the video it seems active dry yeast, in particular for the two baking times! :-)

    • @thevegancorner
      @thevegancorner  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Tommaso Pistoia Hi! No, that is in fact instant yeast, the one that doesn't need to be activated. Active dry yeast would require you to activate it before using it, which is an unnecessarily step in this case. Thanks for taking the time to leave a message :)

    • @tom8928
      @tom8928 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +The Vegan Corner thank you for your istant answer! ;-) oh, I thought that the first step, when you stir the yeast in the lukewarm water was actually the activation step of a dry yeast... But I still don't understand: if it is not dry yeast and its not backing powder, what do you mean whit istant yeast?

    • @thevegancorner
      @thevegancorner  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Tommaso Pistoia You can read more about those two yeasts here: www.thekitchn.com/whats-the-difference-between-active-dry-yeast-and-instant-yeast-54252 the only thing I do differently, is that I dissolve instant yeast in water so that it can be mixed with the ingredients faster and more appropriately, but it needs no activation ;)

    can I make this without the psyllium?

    • @ScoiataeI
      @ScoiataeI 9 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Probably not, as that is what gives it the spongy texture! Psylium acts as a binder, which gluten free goods often lack. Though if you have chia or flax seeds, you can use these. (two teaspoons seeds to four tsp water or a little more if desired). Grind them up or leave them as is, add water (double amount of seeds) and let it turn into a gel before adding to the flour. Then add the other wet ingredients. May be stickier to work with.
