It also depends how cliquey your college is. With mine, if you're not already in someone's circle of friends, they want nothing to do with you. Kind of sad.
I have a hard time making friends on my college campus. I have healed from an abusive childhood so have grown a lot of empathy and enjoy talking about deeper topics such as social change. unfortunately, not many people at my college are interested in that. the college is fairly expensive (im on scholarship) and it revolves so much around sororities, fraternities, and partying. People here seem to be so shallow and immature. And the rest of the city is very ghetto so it's two extremes. I have many interests, so I've tried joining groups and inviting people to things but it never pans out.
So many girls have done videos about this topic and they easily stretch it out to maybe 12minutes or more. You on the other hand, have a sweet and short to the point video that is encouraging! :) I don’t know why I see more girls do college videos. But I am glad I found this video. Thank you for keeping it uplifting and simple👌
Hmm I'm about to be a senior in high school and pretty reserved . I only talk to 2 people from school. I can't imagine how stressful college will be trying to make friends based on my personality
I know that feeling so well. xD I'm very reserved and talk to 1 person in my class, and it's not like we are really close friends either. Though, thanks to band I met people who are way younger than me who share same interests and stuff. I'm a senior and my friends consists on 12-16 years old. I'm 18. Though, I would have no friends if they didn't reach out to me. So I'm scared for what college will be like too.
I have never had a best friend even though i am in collage I have been bullied all my life and I still get bullied now I wish some people would like to be my friend
hey man I know how you feel, I'm a sophomore now and have yet made any friends that would consider close, it really hard especially when you are a commuter
I had so much fun living in a dorm. They are always around you and it's the easiest way to make friends :D I made a lot of friends by attending parties and events. Your college basketball team totally defeated us on NCAA tournament this year haha
Where I am in the UK unless you drink then most people actually find that bizarre as if it's all that matters. I'm finding it stressful it because I don't like alcohol but I do smoke sometimes and people find that more bizarre for some reason. I've been here 2 weeks so far but I'd suggest that you don't give in to peer pressure just to make friends. Meeting people that way can only end badly and you will eventually find friends who aren't so narrow-minded if you stay genuine.

I went to a party college. Had mad friends. I left after the first semester to join the military. 9 years later, I'm not friends with any of them.
that's the beauty of life.

It's all about being outgoing. Just get involved and you'll meet people.

Commuting to a college and not yet made a single friend. How do you make friends while commuting? How do people who live in dorms view commuters?
MrLeonis Join a club, that's how I made a lot of friends. Is there something you really enjoy doing?
