😢 I have sewn before but my thread got tangled and I can’t figure out what is wrong with the bobbin (front loader)… plus my manual is not with the machine cuz my husband put it in storage and mixed everything up lol… ughhh
I'm trying to learn this on my own. Mt grandma gave me a brand new machine that has been sitting in her basement for a few years. Wish me luck. I'd like to make her something soon
Think about it, isn't that the truth with a lot of tutorial videos? These videos themselves are edited, so we're doing it in real time. Of course we have to keep pausing, and that's okay! I do the same thing with drawing tutorials, makeup, etc. It's fine to go at your own pace, don't let a video rush you! You can do this!! I believe in you little sewing fairy!
Thank you! I just got a new Brother machine, but the only machine I’ve EVER seen on was my grandmother’s 1951 singer! I have no idea how to operate this fancy thing! 😆
I have an old Singer machine too (1950's) When I took the new Brother SE600 out of the box I knew the owner's manual is really a necessity...lol I am still looking for parts for the old Singer.
She’s going too fast for “beginners” .... like really.. you saying how “simple” it is and this is my first time EVER using freakin sewing 🧵 machine!!!!
Yeah, it was pretty fast. That said, I don't think going slower would have helped me any. If anything it probably would have made it harder to find the information I need once I get lost in the process. I mean, all of the information seems to be there. It's just a matter of pausing at certain points where you/I get lost in the process.
This was the most helpful beginners guide but I’m still stuck on the last step when you put the thread behind the the little piece at the bottom 😢😩 I have a brother CE1150 so it looks a little different
Dear Angela I have a 22 year old flat bed sewing machine that has never been use not even once, I bought it brand new back then, am trying to see if I can learn how to use it but there's some instructions that I don't understand, I been looking for videos for this particular brand ( SEAMMASTER ) but so far no luck.😩
If this is a stupid question I’m sorry lol. But do you cut the spindles tip off? Because mine has a weird top and won’t fit but yours doesn’t have a tip and slides in perfectly.
Yes, the procedures should all be the same! If you would like access to a threading diagram, you can check out the manual for this machine here: support.brother.com/g/b/manualtop.aspx?c=us&lang=en&prod=hf_ce1100eus
I mena talk about completely hard and confusing. 'Wind it here, then wrap around there, pull the thingy, then loop in here, over again and wrap and hold, pull and lift and lift and fold'...'count to ten, finger snap, shimmy flip kick and wave'🖐🏾
As one of the people not distracted by her beauty, I noticed she left out something important that was in the other two videos on this subject. How to start the loop from the bobbin that catches the threaded needle.
Ok so when she was like, "now put the thread through the thingy holder..." WHY DO I NOT HAVE LIKE ANY OF THIS!!! 😭😭😭😭I checked and I did NOT loose anything!!!! 🤨🤨🤦♀️🤦♀️💀💀
So I did everything the good way but still the bottom is raffled. I did the tension on both the bobbin and upper threading good so. What am I doing wrong? ;-; (also I have a pfaff 1019)
Put the video on lower speed (click on the three dots on the right corner and select "playback speed", try it on 0.75x if not go to the next one)or/and pause video.
That's a good question. After Angela drops the bobbin in and wraps the thread around to the small blade that cuts off the excess thread, the bobbin thread sits under the throat plate until the needle takes the first stitch, then the needle thread will bring the bobbin thread up to the top of the throat plate.
I tried but for some reason my bottom thread is sewing all weird. It's gathering up in bunches on the bottom but it looks perfectly fine on top. Can anyone help me please? This is my first sewing machine and I'm really upset
I'm new to this but I think it depends on how often you use the needle and the material you are using. I know she briefly mentions in the video that you should change it out when you notice it skipping stitches. She said "often" though. I suspect her use of the machine is probably a tad more than my own though. For her often probably means weekly... possibly even daily... I have no idea. For me it will probably be yearly...lol.
Yea so what the fuck do I do if I don’t have an automatic threader? That’s why I’m trying to find a video to help me thread it literally the part I need bro 😂😂
Hello, It is actually called a presser foot. A presser foot is an attachment used with sewing machines to hold fabric flat as it is fed through the machine and stitched. Thanks!
I'm wondering if the video was actually to teach. I'm usually not so critical but come on. Smart or not my brain needs at least a full hundredth of a second (1/100) to store new information before moving into the next step.. I'm still trying to understand why the bobbin goes where it goes.

I think im gonna split my pants after your comment!!! will you sew them back for me?? :))))

Man im so relieved finally finding a video that doesn't have to do with
*BIG EXPENSIVE ONES WITH A BUNCH OF ROBOTIC STUFF*
As a young male with very minimal experience, this was very helpful. Thank you
Nah mate I'm here too, i'm male but not young anymore.
When I'm ready to sew I'm gonna have to stop this video every 5 seconds to be able to keep up. Better than nothing. Lol. Thanks

Short sweat and direct. This is the way I like to learn. You where perfect!
I actually knew how to sew but forgot some of the things as I haven't sew anything for years now, and it helped me a lot to learn these again!
Me: ok looks easy
Me: *looks back at screen to see she left you in the dust and is already 10 steps ahead*
🤣
Finally, a simple and easy tutorial that sums up all of what I had known into a neat little video. 😊🪡🧵

Brother 130-Stitch Sewing and Quilting Machine, SQ9185

The test:
Dear Angela I have a 22 year old flat bed sewing machine that has never been use not even once, I bought it brand new back then, am trying to see if I can learn how to use it but there's some instructions that I don't understand, I been looking for videos for this particular brand ( SEAMMASTER ) but so far no luck.😩
Can you contact the manufacturer?
Don't rewind the bobbin if it's not sewing right. Adjust your tension!
To slow her tutorial, click on the top right Settings cog, click on Playback Speed, and select 0.75, or 0.5, or lower
This was so helpful. Thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
If this is a stupid question I’m sorry lol. But do you cut the spindles tip off? Because mine has a weird top and won’t fit but yours doesn’t have a tip and slides in perfectly.
This makes 3d printing look simple
i like that i have the exact sewing machine :)
Not my mom telling me I'm not allowed to eat or sleep until I figure out how to do this
2:23 pop, lock, and drop it
I knew I wasn't the only one who thought of that 🤣
Hey my bobbin doesn't have anywhere to wrap the thread. What do I do???
I dunno if it's weird a guy being here looking at this but i really think this would be a useful skill to learn as we draw closer to the apocalypse.
OMG, I have a degree in biochemistry and can do calculus, but no matter how hard I try I CANNOT DO THIS! 🤯
I agree, and I'm an Engineer 😂. its dizzying how many places, clips and tuns the thead 🧵needs to go through for it to work 😅
I have a Brother CE1100PRW are the procedures the same as this machine?
Great question! We have submitted your question to our experts. Please allow 1-2 business days for their response. We will share it with you here.
Yes, the procedures should all be the same! If you would like access to a threading diagram, you can check out the manual for this machine here: support.brother.com/g/b/manualtop.aspx?c=us&lang=en&prod=hf_ce1100eus
She didn’t even show us how to thread the needle she just use an automatic threader
Not all of us have a damn automatic bobin Angela 🙃
I have this exact machine so this should be easier
So helpful thank you!
Was just giving an old machine. Found out it's missing the table and foot and the presser foot. Can I find these online somewhere?
I mena talk about completely hard and confusing. 'Wind it here, then wrap around there, pull the thingy, then loop in here, over again and wrap and hold, pull and lift and lift and fold'...'count to ten, finger snap, shimmy flip kick and wave'🖐🏾

Hi I have an Ace 6600 and I would like to know how to thread it
Ok so when she was like, "now put the thread through the thingy holder..." WHY DO I NOT HAVE LIKE ANY OF THIS!!! 😭😭😭😭I checked and I did NOT loose anything!!!! 🤨🤨🤦♀️🤦♀️💀💀
I wouldn’t use a fancy one that skips all the hard parts for a video for beginners
So I did everything the good way but still the bottom is raffled. I did the tension on both the bobbin and upper threading good so. What am I doing wrong? ;-; (also I have a pfaff 1019)
Life saver thanks!
omggg she's going like a million miles an hour... how am i meant to follow??
Pause the video or Take notes as you watch might help
Put the video on lower speed (click on the three dots on the right corner and select "playback speed", try it on 0.75x if not go to the next one)or/and pause video.
Should i CUT the thread to the bobbin?
Everytime I need or want to sew I always forget how to thread the needle
Lol still dont understand...
You have to be a woman to understand.
@@pearlmax huh? i hope this is a joke
I am a woman and I still don’t understand. Maybe it’s because I don’t have the same model but then again I’m also a beginner too
@@pearlmax Guess I have a penis somewhere
Lol
At 2.32 ish, when you’re putting the bobbin in and threading it through, where does the thread go???
That's a good question. After Angela drops the bobbin in and wraps the thread around to the small blade that cuts off the excess thread, the bobbin thread sits under the throat plate until the needle takes the first stitch, then the needle thread will bring the bobbin thread up to the top of the throat plate.
Whats the point of the bobbin if you thread it on the top of the machine too?? im still going to do it but it doesnt make sence
how in tarnation do you work that automatic threader?! i can't figure it out!
I can't figure out out either
I have the same machine and my bobbin won't wind let alone turn.
i need your help i have a 19s sewing machine and no one noses how to thread it
This was mature of u to do this
I need help with mine I have a old Janome sewing machine and I have no idea how it works
I’m just trying to finish this project smhhh
I tried but for some reason my bottom thread is sewing all weird. It's gathering up in bunches on the bottom but it looks perfectly fine on top. Can anyone help me please? This is my first sewing machine and I'm really upset
Lana T adjust your thread tension knob... try 3 or 4... the white dial at top with black numbers
How to find the correct size bobbin?
I can’t find were to put my bobin
thankyou it worked
But what do you do with the tail that is what I wanna know
I kinda winded the bobbin with all my thread lmao is that okay or do I need do it again
🤣
I’m so confused. I have an old Kenmore sewing machine and I have no idea what I’m doing.
I keep struggling to thread everything in my home ec class
You didn’t tell us the top setting and the boom thread settings and how to make the stitches larger.
My automatic threatener is not doing it anymore, just threading around the needle. Please someone help :(
How often should i change the needle?
I'm new to this but I think it depends on how often you use the needle and the material you are using. I know she briefly mentions in the video that you should change it out when you notice it skipping stitches. She said "often" though. I suspect her use of the machine is probably a tad more than my own though. For her often probably means weekly... possibly even daily... I have no idea. For me it will probably be yearly...lol.
My sewing machine either just stuck or doesn’t sew at all it’s very frustrating
It’s still so hard! Investors watched a million videos and still don’t understand
Then what’s the bobbin for ?
Well I went through and checked multiple times to make sure I did every step right and now my sewing machine is broken so
Wow speedy!
How to wind the bobbin!!!!
Thank you mam
"HAAAAI"
I have no idea what the bobbin is for and how it connects to anything...
Yea so what the fuck do I do if I don’t have an automatic threader? That’s why I’m trying to find a video to help me thread it literally the part I need bro 😂😂
