Kirby from Scream 4 was the one that EVERYONE liked. The fan favorite to come out Scream 4. I gotta say she's my favorite character in the franchise, although I'm a little disappointed they didn't use her character properly in Scream 6, and with a totally different personality. She was the cool, cute, short-haired blonde, with the smartaxx sense of humor, horror film geek that Charlie (one of the killers) had a huge crush on, and she sorta hit on him teasingly. Towards the end she openly flirts with him, but just as their lips touch Trevor interrupts. Then later Ghostface takes Charlie hostage outside the backdoor because she didn't trust him. But after Ghostface's horror trivia, when she unties him, he stabs her a couple times, and tells her "it's (dying from a stab wound) slower than in the movies." But we never see her die, and when he walks away, she's still breathing.
Her personality was different because she is more mature now (30yrs old), add to the fact that she lived a moment of horror where she practically died.
Scream 6 was such an improvement over scream 5 in multiple ways. I loved it sm it has its issues fs but the pros outweigh the negatives. New setting, creative opening, some actual gory kills, nice cast, great chase/tense sequences, love the shrine, love the ghostface of the movie he’s scary, and the core 4 especially Sam and Mindy improved sm since scream 5 cause I didn’t like them in their first appearances.
100% Agreed. I liked how Jenna Ortega got more to do this time around and had a better story arc. Melissa Barrera was amazing as Sam and I also enjoyed the Core 4 getting fleshed out a lot more.
Honestly surprised that these guys hated Chad. I'm honestly surprised anyone hated Chad. Imo, he was the MVP of the movie and the heart of the Core Four. This franchise needs strong male characters and the only time that it's properly done right is the MTV Scream show. This is easily my favorite sequel because I left the theater satisfied. I havent' had that feeling since the original movie. You don't need to kill your whole cast to make a great slasher and Scream 6 proved that.
The performance by Melissa Barrera far outshone her performance in Scream 2022 & I really rooted for Sam & was very proud of Melissa. I don't think she will ever be Ghostface but we know in the climax she will always go toe-to-toe with Ghostface
the fact yall didnt remember kirby was sad lol. shes from scream 4 and she got stabbed but i believe it was never confirmed that she died. but in scream 5 they actually revealed she was alive in that scene where richie is watching videos on the computer theres a video of kirby in the up next section.
I really enjoyed Scream 6. I agree with a lot of what you say though but a lot of us were very excited to see Hayden back as Kirby after being revealed to be alive in Scream 2022 & knowing how much Wes liked her character
Chad and Tara are cute. Fun fact, Chad was using his dad's camera from Scream 2 against Ghostface. Quinn and Tara are so fucking hot :D. Quinn's my favorite Radio Silence Ghostface killer. Girl was the craziest in her family. I also think it was Tara who gave the call to Detective Wayne Kirsh at the end, making up for her phone call that Richie never picked up at the end of Scream 2022 while Sam was in costume. Chad's the new Dewey and I love it. Mason and Jenna has amazing chemistry :D. How can you not root for Tara and Chad? I love the character development 6 had compared to 5. Chad was the MVP of the movie. During the first screenings everyone said that Chad was the MVP so it's hard to believe anyone would actually call him 'annoying'? This was basically a parallel to Scream 2 because this is Scream 2 of this new trilogy focused around the Carpenter sisters. This is also the FIRST Scream movie that I left the theater satisfied since the original because there is no depressing death and our hero's lived on. This is easily my favorite sequel and Jenna is the best actor of this franchise hands down. The way she expresses emotion and ANYTHING. Just acting drunk while conversing. The girl has IT and is part of the reason why this movie was so successful in theaters. Her, Mason Gooding and Melissa. Scream 6 proved that you don't need to kill your whole cast to make a great slasher whodunit. They just want to start a new wave of legacy survivors the same as the originals. And for me scream 6 and scream 4 were the best movies so far of the entire franchise.
Dewey was never stabbed the way Chad was - not even close. Chad was stabbed more just in the backyard in part 5 than Dewey was collectively between S1/S2. Getting double teamed at torso is beyond outrageous 🙄

Show runners literally said that Dewey was supposed to die there and be the end of the character but because people loved the character so much they kept him and put an excuse of his survival. Wes Craven and Scream fans loved Arquette’s Deputy Dewey so much that Craven shot a new ending where Dewey is carried out in an ambulance, very much alive. Dewey almost died in all the movies. If you want to talk about plot armor, criticize Dewey's character first. Don't come trying to be mad at another character surviving because of plot armor, because we had those already since the beginning of Scream franchise.

At the end of the day, he was stabbed once in the back - not completely unbelievable at all. Chad was stabbed in the femoral artery (which alone could have seen him bleed to death) in pt 5 then shanked like a prison inmate 6x. Then in part 6, he is shirtless at the frat party with zero wounds and proceeds to live through two GF's stabbing in his upper extremities at least 15x. NONSENSE. Dewey has never been attacked that way. Dewey got hit with a bedpan, slashed on the arm, fell down stairs etc. He's gotten his butt whooped but nothing he cant recover from. Chad is apparently a marvel superhero tho...

This scream has some flaws for sure but what scream movie doesn't, one thing I can say is it's a consistent franchise and honestly scream 6 is most definitely the best scream movie out of the franchise since 1 and 2. Idc.

Sam's therapist, Dr. Stone, was related to Stone - Jennifer's bodyguard from SCR3AM. That's why he got so uncomfortable when she said her father was the famous serial killer Billy Loomis, and that they made a movie about him. The way he looks to the side and says something like "Certainly did."
Scream 4,5, and 6 are the top three Scream movies, i dont say the og trilogy because im not biased based on nostalgia, im judging based on entertaining and creativity and the last 3 were the most entertaining

Now I've had some push back on this, but, I still stand by it: They're trying to make it seem like Sam is going to follow in Billy's footsteps, and become Ghostface herself. I think it's a misdirect. I think it's Tara that becomes Ghostface. Not sure why or what drives her to snap, just that she does. My reasoning: the way she smiled and took her time, when stabbing Ethan, suggests that she REALLY enjoyed it - she savored it; SCREAM 2022 (5CREAM) is an homage to SCREAM (1996) with the primary mastermind being the love interest, and SCREAM VI is an homage to SCREAM 2 with the primary mastermind being a parent of the last mastermind killer. SO, wouldn't it reason for SC7EAM to be an homage to SCR3AM? WELL, in SCR3AM the killer was the half-sibling (Sidney's half-brother, Roman Bridger) of the main final girl of the franchise. Sam IS THAT MAIN FINAL GIRL, not Tara. TARA... IS the HALF-SIBLING of Sam.
The director of Happy Death Day and its sequel Chris Landon has been chosen to helm Scream 7 taking over from Radio Silence who directed this movie and the previous one.
Radio Silence in promo interviews talked so much about how much they loved the "Core Four" & consistently cited killing Dewey in 5 meant they chose not to lose any of the core 4 including Chad. They also said there is & was no stab logic in this film deliberately + it's important to note Courtney Cox was an exec producer so I'm not surprised she didn't die but im kinda happy about that the sequence was really good. Chad has replaced Dewey but the scene was nothing like Deweys stabs, it looked brutal
I just dont think we will ever see better reasoning for a Ghostface killing spree than Jill Roberts in Scream 4. That was frighteningly believable & ahead of it's time
Scream 7 was green lit after scream 6 came out. Then after a while, one of the actresses got fired for saying something political on Twitter, then Jenna Ortega backed out as well but I think that’s because she has scheduling conflicts with the Wednesday show she’s in, then the director quit sometime after all that happened and I was thinking scream 7 was in jeopardy. BUT I just found out today that Sidney is coming back for scream 7 and Kevin Williamson who was a producer in the other movies , is directing the 7th.
They need to change the formula in the future. As it stands if you’re white and straight you’re most likely a killer. Possibly a victim. They need to off a few of the new main cast next movie. All sorts of main cast were killed in Scream 1. Hardly anyone other than Sidney, Randy, Gale and Dewey. They need to pick two or three main characters and dump the rest.
People had a problem with the ending of this movie and yes there were insane things like characters surviving tons and tons of stab wounds and a cop not shooting when he had a gun aimed right at Sam. I understand people being frustrated with Chad and Mindy surviving but for me this movie rewrote the rules. Things this movie rewrote the rules for: ghostface gives no f*cks will kill in broad daylight in public, will use guns, characters are alive until you see them for sure die on screen and take their last over the top fatal blow. BUT I LOVE THAT THE 4 OF THEM ARE LIKE THE NEW CREW WHO ALWAYS GET DRAGGED INTO GHOST FACE MURDERS.
I would argue that S2 GF was pretty bold too and stood on business. Killing in a public bathroom, a crowded theater in seats in the middle of the aisle, killing Randy in the quad in the middle of the day, attacking two armed detectives head on in open street. GF in 6 was aggressive but for the most part was not a closer - they didn’t successfully kill many ppl 😫
Ok thank you for saying this bc all the stabbings and shootings are so unrealistic, especially when chad survived multiple stab wounds like I was ready to walk out of the theaters just for that bullshit but I guess he has to be the new “Dewey” of the franchise but it just doesn’t work in my opinion. That’s the only main issue I had in this movie. Anyway I just think Tara was just mid in this movie she didn’t really do much, but of course Jenna Ortega did what she had to do script wise and made it work, and yes everyone has there opinion but I have to give it to Sam the actress for stepping it up in this movie just what Aiden said she can be a good serial killer, and her acting did improve a lot. But the character Sam herself I can see the hate last movie, but I didn’t understand why you guys hate her so much in this one, but okay it is what it is. And the other characters were meh especially the reveal. If they do another scream movie they better redeem a lot of shit that was unrealistic like they did these past 2 movies.

In the slender man's case, a 15-year-old girl was stabbed 19 times in the middle of a forest, she managed to drag herself to the side of a road where she was found and survived, is a 15-year-old girl can survive that Chad can survive what he did people have survived being stabbed over 20 times it happens..
This GF was aggressive and intense but could barely kill anyone. More of an “attacker” instead of killer this go round. Richie’s family being very underwhelming and the unrealistic way in which everyone bounced back from multiple (bad) stab wounds is the reason this movie can’t be ranking higher than 4th best of 6.
Its my favorite sequel easily and developed The Core Four. I freaking love Chad and Tara. So glad we got more personality out of Chad. He has the heart of gold and Tara's just a lil badass.
What a stupid movie. They are getting stabbed like 20 times and they are still living. Bullshit. There the girl gets stabbed on the train badly and checks her self out of the hospital. I know it's a movie but come on. They should of stopped after 4. The only good thing that came out of this movie is that they brought Kirby back.

The idea of 3 killers was great, even brilliant but how they did it in the end was one of the stupiest things. Also I agree, if you dont want them to die, dont let them get injuried like this. Its not even funny or "oh it should be satire" anymore, just frustrating. The beginning was one, maybe even the best of the franchise (with the first one), the ghostface scenes one of the best. The movie had so much potential but the ending ruined. Also the whole Meta thing is getting annoying. Talking about stab, etc. fine, dont mind it but the "requel/sequel" talk is the worst, even cringe.

Scream 4 is still the best one after the first for me. Scream movies after 4, have been boring and you can tell it wasn't the original director doing it. The magic is gone. It feels like fan fiction.
I disagree, I think that both the 5th and 6th Movies have been worthy sequels to the franchise. Also, Kevin Williamson (he and Wes Craven created the "SCREAM" franchise, he wrote the scripts for the 1st, 2nd, and 4th Movies) was an Executive Producer on both the 5th and 6th Movies and he liked both movies and what the writers and directors did with them.
Yeah, the 7th "Scream" movie is going to be directed by Christopher Landon (he directed the movie "Happy Death Day", he is also friends with Kevin Williamson who wrote the scripts for the 1st, 2nd, and 4th "Scream" movies).
I liked Sam in this latest one, however, I don’t like the twins. I was hoping one or both would die. The main thing that annoyed me is how people not only survive, but walk normally after being stabbed so savagely.

Scream VI was 9.5 fresh, until that third act made the movie 6, in my honest opinion.
Scream 6 was great just wish it had a better 3rd act. Scream 7 will need higher stakes

My reasoning: the way she smiled and took her time, when stabbing Ethan, suggests that she REALLY enjoyed it - she savored it; SCREAM 2022 (5CREAM) is an homage to SCREAM (1996) with the primary mastermind being the love interest, and SCREAM VI is an homage to SCREAM 2 with the primary mastermind being a parent of the last mastermind killer. SO, wouldn't it reason for SC7EAM to be an homage to SCR3AM? WELL, in SCR3AM the killer was the half-sibling (Sidney's half-brother, Roman Bridger) of the main final girl of the franchise. Sam IS THAT MAIN FINAL GIRL, not Tara. TARA... IS the HALF-SIBLING of Sam.

The director of Happy Death Day and its sequel Chris Landon has been chosen to helm Scream 7 taking over from Radio Silence who directed this movie and the previous one.
Radio Silence will still produce & exec produce alongside Landon but things could change due to the ongoing strike
Radio Silence in promo interviews talked so much about how much they loved the "Core Four" & consistently cited killing Dewey in 5 meant they chose not to lose any of the core 4 including Chad.
They also said there is & was no stab logic in this film deliberately + it's important to note Courtney Cox was an exec producer so I'm not surprised she didn't die but im kinda happy about that the sequence was really good. Chad has replaced Dewey but the scene was nothing like Deweys stabs, it looked brutal
I just dont think we will ever see better reasoning for a Ghostface killing spree than Jill Roberts in Scream 4. That was frighteningly believable & ahead of it's time

Scream 7 was green lit after scream 6 came out. Then after a while, one of the actresses got fired for saying something political on Twitter, then Jenna Ortega backed out as well but I think that’s because she has scheduling conflicts with the Wednesday show she’s in, then the director quit sometime after all that happened and I was thinking scream 7 was in jeopardy. BUT I just found out today that Sidney is coming back for scream 7 and Kevin Williamson who was a producer in the other movies , is directing the 7th.

They need to change the formula in the future. As it stands if you’re white and straight you’re most likely a killer. Possibly a victim. They need to off a few of the new main cast next movie. All sorts of main cast were killed in Scream 1. Hardly anyone other than Sidney, Randy, Gale and Dewey. They need to pick two or three main characters and dump the rest.

People had a problem with the ending of this movie and yes there were insane things like characters surviving tons and tons of stab wounds and a cop not shooting when he had a gun aimed right at Sam. I understand people being frustrated with Chad and Mindy surviving but for me this movie rewrote the rules.
Things this movie rewrote the rules for: ghostface gives no f*cks will kill in broad daylight in public, will use guns, characters are alive until you see them for sure die on screen and take their last over the top fatal blow.
BUT I LOVE THAT THE 4 OF THEM ARE LIKE THE NEW CREW WHO ALWAYS GET DRAGGED INTO GHOST FACE MURDERS.
I would argue that S2 GF was pretty bold too and stood on business. Killing in a public bathroom, a crowded theater in seats in the middle of the aisle, killing Randy in the quad in the middle of the day, attacking two armed detectives head on in open street.
GF in 6 was aggressive but for the most part was not a closer - they didn’t successfully kill many ppl 😫
Ok thank you for saying this bc all the stabbings and shootings are so unrealistic, especially when chad survived multiple stab wounds like I was ready to walk out of the theaters just for that bullshit but I guess he has to be the new “Dewey” of the franchise but it just doesn’t work in my opinion. That’s the only main issue I had in this movie. Anyway I just think Tara was just mid in this movie she didn’t really do much, but of course Jenna Ortega did what she had to do script wise and made it work, and yes everyone has there opinion but I have to give it to Sam the actress for stepping it up in this movie just what Aiden said she can be a good serial killer, and her acting did improve a lot. But the character Sam herself I can see the hate last movie, but I didn’t understand why you guys hate her so much in this one, but okay it is what it is. And the other characters were meh especially the reveal. If they do another scream movie they better redeem a lot of shit that was unrealistic like they did these past 2 movies.

Richie’s family being very underwhelming and the unrealistic way in which everyone bounced back from multiple (bad) stab wounds is the reason this movie can’t be ranking higher than 4th best of 6.
I actually liked "SCREAM VI".
Its my favorite sequel easily and developed The Core Four. I freaking love Chad and Tara. So glad we got more personality out of Chad. He has the heart of gold and Tara's just a lil badass.

What a stupid movie. They are getting stabbed like 20 times and they are still living. Bullshit. There the girl gets stabbed on the train badly and checks her self out of the hospital. I know it's a movie but come on. They should of stopped after 4. The only good thing that came out of this movie is that they brought Kirby back.

The idea of 3 killers was great, even brilliant but how they did it in the end was one of the stupiest things.

The beginning was one, maybe even the best of the franchise (with the first one), the ghostface scenes one of the best. The movie had so much potential but the ending ruined. Also the whole Meta thing is getting annoying. Talking about stab, etc. fine, dont mind it but the "requel/sequel" talk is the worst, even cringe.

I disagree, I think that both the 5th and 6th Movies have been worthy sequels to the franchise.
Also, Kevin Williamson (he and Wes Craven created the "SCREAM" franchise, he wrote the scripts for the 1st, 2nd, and 4th Movies) was an Executive Producer on both the 5th and 6th Movies and he liked both movies and what the writers and directors did with them.

I liked Sam in this latest one, however, I don’t like the twins. I was hoping one or both would die. The main thing that annoyed me is how people not only survive, but walk normally after being stabbed so savagely.
