    People watch too many reviews, and they get confused. I think you nailed it. For me, v3 has more foam( more foam better cushion). The strobel doesn't bother me. Our feet are all different, some will have heel slip and others not! The upper on the v1 was good, on the v2 i dont like it. So the v3 upper for me is an upgrade compared with v2. All Said people should stop complaining about the invincible 3s. " He who cannot dance puts the blame on the floor.”

    Thanks for the extended review. I really appreciate you taking your time to answer the questions. Yeah, hopefully Nike will improve the upper a bit next time.

    Never owned any of the previous invincibles. However, I did a few runs in the invincible 3s and I am enjoying them. Thanks for the great review

    Bought 2 pairs of invincible 2 at a great discount because I love them and won't be available for long.
    Love the absolute comfort, the crazy fun experience of walking/running in them and the mad design. They tamed it with version 3.
    It's an experience unlike any other . No other shoes will give you that feel. If you want to experience "a holy crap" moment you gotta get them. Promise you won't regret

      Good thinking!!!! Yeah I picked up a V2 for only €88!!! Such a bargain, we will sorely miss them when they’re gone, though when I tried the Nimbus 25 it also gave me that luscious “holy crap” moment !!

    Great video thank you, I received bought the v2’s and they are amazingly comfortable however , the foam does not appear to be very robust and tends to get damaged easily which is strange given the price point of this range. I’d be interested to know if the v3is more durable in this regard? Thanks again

      The v3 is more durable. Mine have 211k in them and are holding up fine. Some light outsole wear but fine other than that

    Due to a few inches of the white stuff took my V1s out today ☃️.. it's the only time I use them -

      Unlikely...I have a shoe that is due to arrive...no prizes for guessing which...I bought it this week but it hasn't shipped yet, but am working on a review of it for next week if it arrives (due Monday I think). I try to get shoes as soon as they launch and have an outline of which I might get this year..the Mizuno does look interesting...if I was a forefoot striker I would be more likely to add them to the list...

    VERY detailed, yes! Since you've not mentioned it, I assume that the sizing hasn't changed at all through the different versions? For the V1 I had to get 1/2 a size bigger than any other shoe I have as they are so snug on the midfoot, which means they are actually too long, but I don't mind that as I love having oodles of toe room anyway. So I should do the same again for the V2 you think Barry? I'm gonna grab a pair online since there are some good discounts on the 2 these days. I'm at 700km in the V1 and they still feel absolutely awesome, though the forefoot in the midsole starts to feel too thin after about 16km!! I must say that I haven't noticed them being noisy, but I'm not a heavy-footed runner. 🙋🏻‍♀

    • @OldManRunner
      @OldManRunner  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes I am the heavy footed runner...I always have been...I size normal in all my invincibles..and the V1 and V2 uppers, whilst different are substantially the same and I think the sizing would match V1 and V2. V3 is quite different...but fits true for me. I think sizing with the V3 is more critical as people have been having heel slip...Thankfully I am now finished with Invincible testing and can move on to something new next week!

      @bev9708 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@OldManRunner Ahhhh that’s useful to know, thanks for that Barry!! Yes some people are very heavy-footed in their running, which research shows is linked to higher injury risk, so I make a point to keep mine light and easy! Actually, in the second half of my last marathon, sometimes someone would slip in behind me and use me as a pacer for a while and their footfall was so loud and heavy that it was throwing me off my own cadence . Even wearing the Nike Alphaflys I was much quieter than others

    • @OldManRunner

      When I was younger I ran with a friend called Angus. He barely touched the ground and was a joy to watch...meanwhile I would pound the ground...I would love to test my Ground Contact Time versus someone fleet footed but running at the same pace in the same shoes...will put that on the long list

    Which is better for running and resting?

    • @OldManRunner
      @OldManRunner  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      For stop start easy running I would take the Invincible 2, particularly as it is likely on discount. The Invincible 3 has a little more structure to it.

  • @leafow777

    Hello which one is the most cushioning: the invincible 2 or 3?

    • @OldManRunner
      @OldManRunner  ปีที่แล้ว

      The Invincible 3 has more foam, but not by much. There is a strobel board on the 3 that adds a little structure to the sole, so although there is a little more foam it does not fell as bouncy as the 2. Both are very cushioned, the 2 feels a little more so. I like both but I like the additional structure in the 3. Hope this helps...

    Hi, Thank you for your informative review. I was looking to buy two pairs of shoes for my parent. something comfortable and stable for daily routine (specially for long distance waking). Do you have any recommendations?
    I bough them Nike Weareallday shoes and they loved it and want to buy something better this time.
    Best regards

    • @OldManRunner
      @OldManRunner  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello Abdeirahim. Most good running shoes will be good for walking in. The Asics Gel Nimbus 25 is a very comfortable running, and walking shoe. I recently reviewed them. They are available in some bright colours but also in black with a black sole which some people like for walking and more general use. They are expensive which may is a disadvantage. I walk in a variety of shoes by On-Running and the Cloudmonster is very comfortable and easy to wear, some of their other shoes are on the firm side but I like that. Brooks make a very good range of running and walking shoes and have good guidance on their website about how to choose a shoe for you. A lot of runners buy the latest shoes as they look for a technological advantage. This is not critical in walking shoes so buying a previous model can make a lot more sense as the costs go down considerably. Hope this helps.

    who is better for jumping higher invincible run 2 or 3

    • @OldManRunner
      @OldManRunner  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There is a little more foam in the Invincible 3. 40mm Stack v 36.6mm in the Invincible 2 and 1. So with more foam you should jump ever so slightly higher...
