Do you have any reccomendations or suggestions for someone purchasing a 2015 this year? I currently drive a 2016 Accent which is supposed to be great on gas but I'm still spending nearly 200 a month on gas for my "around town" trips. These prices have increased my total monthly car expenses by 50-60 percent. I live near about 8 charging stations, and my travel is limited to in town, I would say the furthest trip I make about every 6 months would be about 80 kms each way. I found a 2015 SV with 54k kms on it, it looks like 11 out of 12 cells left, and no accidents. Just not sure if it's the right decision.
I’d get something like the Volt or another plug-in hybrid personally. Just for those 80 km trips, that Leaf probably won’t have enough range. If you were only going 30-40 miles a day, I’d definitely recommend the leaf, but any more than that, gets a little iffy.
The SV reviewed doesn't but ones with the charging package or technology package do. I have some great fully loaded 2016s on the market with new upgrading 40 KWh batteries getting between 140-175 per charge. Actually it's available for many used models regardless of age, but you only maximize the 4K credit when the purchase price is at 13K or above, and you have to get it from a regular dealership, who might play mind games by advertising the price lower than it actually is, and than saying later, oh that's the price once you do your taxes, so watch out for that, (also the price can't be more than 25,000 but not sure if that's with taxes included, I don't think so) still it's a good deal, I've since learned that the best value in the EV world is technically a 2017 Chevy Bolt with the replaced battery, which are available under 15K now even with low miles and getting over 230 miles of range technically in real world scenarios from reviewers , (good luck)

I just bought a 2023 Leaf and love it. It’s crazy how well these cars hold up. I’ve seen so many older Leafs that look almost brand new!

Think the newer ones dc fast charge. You’d have to probably find a level 2 charge station though, all of them probably won’t come with them.

Pretty similar to a 1.5 turbo, that's a good comparison. More low end torque though.
What’s the range? How long does it take to charge from empty to full on a 110?
Used at this age probably only 40-50 miles, and on a 110, should be 10-12 hours I’m guessing.
It all depends on the vehicle battery health though.
