💧 In rural Uganda, most people rely on hand pumps to access clean water. But many hand pumps fail to work or only function poorly. To tackle this problem, our partner Whave Solutions has developed a professional maintenance service that ensures access to clean water for over 330,000 people.
Siemens Stiftung is convinced: Understanding the problems of water supply in Uganda and counteracting them requires local solutions. On-site social enterprises such as Whave Solutions can make an important contribution because they work closely with the communities they serve. Their focus is on sustainable impact and user needs.
