Me to, i have a 2013 Laguna. Very good and comfortable car. The only minus that i can find is the 1.5 dci engine, is economical but is to small for the size and weight of the car. My next car is the Talisman with the 2 litre dci engine.haha
the best car from renault, they didn't make a car that good since that one. the dials looks like an omega watch, the police on the climate control module is beautiful, they put attention to details in a manner that won't be the case no more. nowadays renault is a mix between a nissan and a korean samsung.

Also I tip I learned from a Renault tech: To not have the car auto set the handbrake, hold down the parking brake when you turn the car off and then the parking brake won't engage. Useful in the winter.

@@BbrosAuto A 2010 Megane Exception Auto CC, got it at a steal of a price with my stepdad's help, he was able to negotiate it down as he pointed out some work needed doing on it. Absolutely stunning vehicle, beautiful as all get-out! Easily the nicest car I've ever driven, let alone owned. Engine on it is a pretty standard 4cyl 2.0L Petrol - used to drive a big old 6cyl 3.5L monster which was tearing through fuel, and my wallet, so this has been a nice downsize. Needed a new battery and the airconditioner compressor is being replaced later this week. Outside that, though? Perfect condition, drives like a dream, and now I know some handy tricks thanks to your video!

Another thing i discovered on my 2008 laguna 3 is that you actually don't need to put the key card into the slot to start it up,if your card is nearly the car,(in your pocket as in exemple) you can start it by just pressing the start button.Most of you may know this but i still wanna help the one's who don't.Also i don't think it works for the laguna 2 or megane 2.
Thanks for sharing and commenting. This will work if car has the Keyless Entry System. We've had a 2005 Laguna 2 with this technology. It's a great feature from Renault.
Good video - other things to add- how to open fuel cap if stuck - open rear panel -pull lever, perhaps how to change headlight bulbs - key parts that need to be removed.

Ac controls for "soft", "auto" and "fast" have yellow/orange light, maybe in the video it just seems like it is red. The only red light for AC that turns on is when you press the "AC off" button. If for some reason, you have a different colour in your car, it's just a matter of the diode, it does not indicate anything other than that the function is on or off. Thanks for watching.

I'm annoyed because Renault didn't include the feature to open the windows from keycard, not only to open them. Why they did that bcs is very usefull in hot days? Every other manufacturer has the both options 🥵

@@samtropolis6213 Doubt it. Depends on the road, avg. speed, traffic, conditions, weight...but overall don't think petrol engines in Megane 3 can be as efficient on long trips as 1.5 diesel
many of that function are already on my megane 2 CC (coming home, keyless, oil level the keyless entry and start is one of the best option one stéréo have a combinaison of button to press to enter a special stereo menu
@@BbrosAuto just a short question, I tried the digital oil check on my car but it doesn't show the info of the oil level. Just goes thru the normal system check but nothing happens when I press the button as you have shown. Any ideas?
@PartyTimeBH B Try just by inserting a keycard in the slot without starting the car. If that doesn't work then maybe this car doesn't have that option.
Fuel indicator on digital dashboards in Megane 3 is misleading. What I mean by this is that first cubicle on fuel gauge will go away only when first 10 litres of fuel is used. This will make you believe you will have much greater range than you actually will get. But then you will notice that second cubicle will dissapear much quicker, after 6 litres or so. I know that other car manufacturers do this too, but its worth mentioning it.

Hi there, hope you're still checking the channel :) If I'm not mistaken, the car (Laguna III Initiale Paris) should be able to release the the automatic handbrake when I start accelerating. But it appears to be set on complete manual. When I start the car, the handbrake is on (that's the only automatic part). Then I need to push the brake pedal and manually release it. Then the handbrake never engages, only if I turn off the engine. If I engage it manually, I need to press the break pedal again and release it manually. It's pretty annoying with the break pedal and useless in hills. Is there any way to make it disengage either when I start accelerating, or at least with no break pedal required?

@Ivan Stanojev Hvala. Probaj pritisnuti tipku za zaključavanje vrata u autu i zadržati ju nekoliko sekundi. Kod mene tako možeš uključiti i isključiti automatsko zaključavanje. To je brži i jednostavniji način.
On Laguna we have 17" Black Alloys - original Renault, and on Megane we have also 17" original Renault, but these are actually from the newer Megane MK4. Usually come with Intense, Bose pack.

@Bbros Auto yes I put my key fob in the slot but some times I forget to take the fob out and leave the car....then my car autolocks ...so my key fob is inside the car and the car is now auto locked ...how can I change this so my laguna will not auto lock when I leave the car
@ This is strange, it happened to me with my old laguna 2 but just once and didn't repeat since. I'm not sure why this is happening and how to prevent it, but i will ask some friends and look into it.
As far as I understand, holding AUTO will just sync driver's and passenger temp but when you modify driver's temp again you will need to repeat the operation. Or will they change together?

Imali smo Grand Scenica 2012. godište s 1.6 dci motorom i bili jako zadovoljni. Prešao preko 270k km bez problema kada smo ga prodali. Potršnja niska, slično kao i kod 1.5. dci.

Hi. I have a Renault megane 2009, and the built in alarm goes off when a window is left open. This is so annoying as you need to leave the windows down for dogs in the car? The car is old now, no one would steal it, how can I disable the alarm altogether, so I can have the windows down through hot days when it’s parked right outside my home?
Hi. The car might have the same feature as vauxhall. If you lock the drivers door from the offside passenger rear door the central locking will activate then close the rear door and alarm switches on but the pir sensors will not come on. This is a very useful feature so windows and sunroofs can be open without affecting the alarm. Worth trying this out. As its best to keep your alarm working, to help with lowering insurance premiums.
@@TheGreatest1974 Hi. I open the rear door and reach through to the drivers door lock and then lock, at that point the central locking activates and all doors lock. I then close the rear door. Now all the doors are locked with any windows open and the pir sensors are de activated. Job done, These cars look great abd probably drive really well, do you like owning yours? I have often thought about buying the laguna mk4 initialle tourer. Do you think its a good choice?

It’s an 09 with high mileage that I had to buy because I had a peugot 206 that had electrical problems with pollution sensors, then when I put it in to be fixed they said there’s other sensors wrong as well, it was a nightmare, so much so that I ended up giving the car away to a woman who was desperate but couldn’t afford a car after her own car collapsed on her. I couldn’t sell her it with the problems it had so I gave her the car. Then had to buy this megane. It’s a decent car, just it’s getting worn out at 100k now, just had new CV joint and ball joint and strut done, £400 but cheaper than buying another used car that I don’t know anything about? So it’s just transport mate. 👍

Great video guys, thanx! One question: got any idea how can I permanently keep dash on while engine is off? I am using DDT4ALL for some modifications like Android Auto enabling (which I did!!) and dash needs to be on throughout this procedure. Don't want to keep engine on while I am working with DDT4ALL. My car is Renault Captur Diesel 2017 with R-Link1.
Manual gearbox car can be put into any gear and ignition will keep on as long as the key card is in the slot (or near the car) but you will need to push the start button frequently. The engine won't start unless you use clutch.
Hi, can you make a video of the rear washer operation on Megane 3? My seems very weak, it's like water is just lightly pouring(we could say it looks like it is dripping from the jet) on to the rear glass, so it doesn't even make the whole glass wet, for the wiper to clean it. 👍
I think it should be that way. Mine is the same. It doesn't squirt, it is just poring on one side. It's a long way to the rear end and I guess it's hard to maintain the pressure.
@@BbrosAuto Thank you for your answer. It's really poor pressure, they could easily solve it by putting a nozzle at the back not just a hole 😁 at least you could set it up. In every car I've owned this has been done better...well all in all it's not a bad car.

Thank you! On these models with tomtom it's common that you connect bluetooth with your radio buttons, not sat nav controls. Look for button that says "SETUP" on your radio, it should be under the "MEDIA" and "RADIO" buttons. Menu should appear on the screen and you can scroll down with the wheel control on the radio to find "Bluetooth connections". Do you have "bluetooth" written on the radio, above cd slot?
@@BbrosAuto Unfortunately I do not.. Do you perhaps know any alternative way of adding bluetooth to the car? I know of FM transmitters but I was thinking something along the lines of putting a bluetooth connector to the back of the radio.

@After_Midnight Hi, did you try to press the lock button 2 times on the keycard like in the video? If that doesn't work then you should be able to operate windows when you put the keycard in the slot.

Hi, you just need to press and hold for a few seconds the button (there should be two of them, you can press either) on the tip of the switch on the right side of the steering wheel. You then use the same buttons to move through the settings menu until you find language.

Do sada sam provalio da mogu da se skupe automatski samo iznutra - okretanjem džojstika za podešavanje retrovizora... Ima li još neki tips and tricks za ovaj automobil?
Pozdrav. Koliko znam ne postoji drui način osim ovoga sa džojstikom. Imao sam lagunu 2 na kojoj je bila ista takva opcija. Jedino rješenje bi bilo, ukoliko postoji opcija, da se softverski uključi sklapanje retrovizora prilikom zaključavanja. To se da istražiti uz nekakav program za dijagnostiku ili da vidiš kod nekog majstora koji bi to mogao provjeriti. Laguna 2 koju sam spominjao imala je tako nekakvih opcija koje su se mogle paliti ili gasiti ( za retrovizore nisam siguran ) kao npr. paljenje svjetala prilikom paljenja automobila.

@@user-ub8ry you have to take it to someone that has the Renault diagnostic tool, you can disable it from there.

What exactly do you want them to do? You can set them up on the driver's door, using the controls next to the window regulators

Fuel indicator on digital dashboards in Megane 3 is misleading. What I mean by this is that first cubicle on fuel gauge will go away only when first 10 litres of fuel is used. This will make you believe you will have much greater range than you actually will get. But then you will notice that second cubicle will dissapear much quicker, after 6 litres or so. I know that other car manufacturers do this too, but its worth mentioning it.

If I'm not mistaken, the car (Laguna III Initiale Paris) should be able to release the the automatic handbrake when I start accelerating. But it appears to be set on complete manual. When I start the car, the handbrake is on (that's the only automatic part). Then I need to push the brake pedal and manually release it. Then the handbrake never engages, only if I turn off the engine. If I engage it manually, I need to press the break pedal again and release it manually. It's pretty annoying with the break pedal and useless in hills. Is there any way to make it disengage either when I start accelerating, or at least with no break pedal required?

On Laguna we have 17" Black Alloys - original Renault, and on Megane we have also 17" original Renault, but these are actually from the newer Megane MK4. Usually come with Intense, Bose pack.

As far as I'm aware, you can't. You can only close them.

@Bbros Auto yes I put my key fob in the slot but some times I forget to take the fob out and leave the car....then my car autolocks ...so my key fob is inside the car and the car is now auto locked ...how can I change this so my laguna will not auto lock when I leave the car
@ This is strange, it happened to me with my old laguna 2 but just once and didn't repeat since.
I'm not sure why this is happening and how to prevent it, but i will ask some friends and look into it.

As far as I understand, holding AUTO will just sync driver's and passenger temp but when you modify driver's temp again you will need to repeat the operation. Or will they change together?

"To not have the car auto set the handbrake, hold down the parking brake when you turn the car off and then the parking brake won't engage. Useful in the winter."

Imali smo Grand Scenica 2012. godište s 1.6 dci motorom i bili jako zadovoljni. Prešao preko 270k km bez problema kada smo ga prodali. Potršnja niska, slično kao i kod 1.5. dci.

Hi. I have a Renault megane 2009, and the built in alarm goes off when a window is left open. This is so annoying as you need to leave the windows down for dogs in the car? The car is old now, no one would steal it, how can I disable the alarm altogether, so I can have the windows down through hot days when it’s parked right outside my home?
Hi. The car might have the same feature as vauxhall. If you lock the drivers door from the offside passenger rear door the central locking will activate then close the rear door and alarm switches on but the pir sensors will not come on. This is a very useful feature so windows and sunroofs can be open without affecting the alarm. Worth trying this out. As its best to keep your alarm working, to help with lowering insurance premiums.

@@TheGreatest1974 Hi. I open the rear door and reach through to the drivers door lock and then lock, at that point the central locking activates and all doors lock. I then close the rear door. Now all the doors are locked with any windows open and the pir sensors are de activated. Job done,

It’s an 09 with high mileage that I had to buy because I had a peugot 206 that had electrical problems with pollution sensors, then when I put it in to be fixed they said there’s other sensors wrong as well, it was a nightmare, so much so that I ended up giving the car away to a woman who was desperate but couldn’t afford a car after her own car collapsed on her. I couldn’t sell her it with the problems it had so I gave her the car. Then had to buy this megane. It’s a decent car, just it’s getting worn out at 100k now, just had new CV joint and ball joint and strut done, £400 but cheaper than buying another used car that I don’t know anything about? So it’s just transport mate. 👍

Great video guys, thanx! One question: got any idea how can I permanently keep dash on while engine is off? I am using DDT4ALL for some modifications like Android Auto enabling (which I did!!) and dash needs to be on throughout this procedure. Don't want to keep engine on while I am working with DDT4ALL. My car is Renault Captur Diesel 2017 with R-Link1.
you can try putting it in reverse while the engine is on and then stopping the engine and pulling the card out.
Manual gearbox car can be put into any gear and ignition will keep on as long as the key card is in the slot (or near the car) but you will need to push the start button frequently. The engine won't start unless you use clutch.

Hi, can you make a video of the rear washer operation on Megane 3? My seems very weak, it's like water is just lightly pouring(we could say it looks like it is dripping from the jet) on to the rear glass, so it doesn't even make the whole glass wet, for the wiper to clean it. 👍
I think it should be that way. Mine is the same. It doesn't squirt, it is just poring on one side. It's a long way to the rear end and I guess it's hard to maintain the pressure.
@@BbrosAuto Thank you for your answer. It's really poor pressure, they could easily solve it by putting a nozzle at the back not just a hole 😁 at least you could set it up. In every car I've owned this has been done better...well all in all it's not a bad car.

Thank you! On these models with tomtom it's common that you connect bluetooth with your radio buttons, not sat nav controls. Look for button that says "SETUP" on your radio, it should be under the "MEDIA" and "RADIO" buttons. Menu should appear on the screen and you can scroll down with the wheel control on the radio to find "Bluetooth connections". Do you have "bluetooth" written on the radio, above cd slot?
@@BbrosAuto Unfortunately I do not.. Do you perhaps know any alternative way of adding bluetooth to the car? I know of FM transmitters but I was thinking something along the lines of putting a bluetooth connector to the back of the radio.
We didn't try anything like that, usually we just used a transmitter. Let us know how it went if you decide to try putting the connector to the radio.

@After_Midnight Hi, did you try to press the lock button 2 times on the keycard like in the video? If that doesn't work then you should be able to operate windows when you put the keycard in the slot.

Hi, you just need to press and hold for a few seconds the button (there should be two of them, you can press either) on the tip of the switch on the right side of the steering wheel. You then use the same buttons to move through the settings menu until you find language.

Do sada sam provalio da mogu da se skupe automatski samo iznutra - okretanjem džojstika za podešavanje retrovizora...
Ima li još neki tips and tricks za ovaj automobil?
Pozdrav. Koliko znam ne postoji drui način osim ovoga sa džojstikom. Imao sam lagunu 2 na kojoj je bila ista takva opcija. Jedino rješenje bi bilo, ukoliko postoji opcija, da se softverski uključi sklapanje retrovizora prilikom zaključavanja. To se da istražiti uz nekakav program za dijagnostiku ili da vidiš kod nekog majstora koji bi to mogao provjeriti. Laguna 2 koju sam spominjao imala je tako nekakvih opcija koje su se mogle paliti ili gasiti ( za retrovizore nisam siguran ) kao npr. paljenje svjetala prilikom paljenja automobila.
