Sonic 3D Blast Extended Theme (YM2612 + SN76489 Cover)

Hey all. It's been a hot minute since I last uploaded something to this channel. I hope you've all been doing well. Not long ago I found out from Jon Burton's channel GameHut, that there was a demo tape containing stuff made for the game (whilst some didn't make it in due to the games memory). So I thought I wonder how it would sound like using the Sonic 3D Blast instruments, and that's when I made this recreation using Furnace last month sometime before it's 26th anniversary.
It was a pain in the backside to recreate it, but it was worth it in the end. With that being said, I hope you all enjoy this recreation!

I could totally see this as a "game complete" replacement for the intro where they just give you a new version for finishing the story, like Final Fantasy 15

They probably didn't add this cause that would mean that SEGA would have to make the opening even longer and the genesis can't store that much space on a cartridge so for that reason it probably got cut.

It was Traveler's Tales that made this game, but yeah you're right. Jon Burton, who cofounded TT did a video explaining how this FMV segment was compressed to fit on the cartridge a few years ago. The channel is called Gamehut.
