I love both Godzilla and Halo universe, I watch Godzilla vs Kong this summer on DVD and i liked but i would have preferred more longer movie with with a deepening of certain elements such as the motivations of Ren Serizawa and more Godzilla's time screen. It was unbearable not to have any information on the theatrical release of the film in France. Know i'm waiting for Halo Infinite at Christmas 2021 with the new Xbox Series X.

I like how they turned this godzilla into an anti-hero, he's only mad if u get in his way but he will always do the right thing even if it requires sacrifice
He was a anti-hero since Godzilla 2014, because people died as a consequence of his actions. Sure, he was fighting to save the world, but he had no remorse for the thousands of people that died in his battles, Godzilla never cared for humans, we are ants in a boxing ring in his view. He fights to protect the balance of the world, and only intentionally attacks humanity when we threaten that balance, which is what we did when we built MechaGodzilla in the movie. He is not a good guy, or a hero. He is Earth's defender, not mankind's.
He was always considered an anti-hero, only in your monsters they gave godzilla a guardian vibe, even godzilla interacted with humans in the scene where he reappears in the sea.

The only reason why the Snyder cut isn’t really doing as good as expected is because one, not that much people would like to sit through 4 hours, and compared to Godzilla vs Kong, an hour and 50 minutes give the movie more times to be replayed, and 2 I feel like the Snyder cut is mainly for the fans and not for everyone. I ain’t hating on Godzilla vs Kong and I love both movies, but Godzilla is more fast paced for people who don’t have such a long attention span.
The thing about Monsterverse Godzilla is that he fits both a hero and villain very well. Obviously he’s played more as a hero, but he was a good antagonist too and was terrifying in GvK

I’m kind of bummed they didn’t use the ifukube music though. Clearly this is a leitmotif, but why not just use the main theme? The amount of brass in the theme would have fit amazingly too.

@@Your_TribalChief they… they were the guys who CREATED Godzilla in the first place. And the older movies aren’t bad because they didn’t have CGI. Some were weird and kinda cringe (those with Minya/Minilla), but a lot were pretty good. Like the Heisei era, which had a pretty good storyline and interesting Kaiju.
I personally like them both. I think that Godzilla’s theme in GvK is much more evil and badass than KoTM, but in terms of Godzilla’s traditional theme, I think KoTM did a much better job.
Godzilla is not a hero in this movie, so obviously KotM's main theme didn't fit with GvK's Godzilla. There is no point of comparison, they are just different situations
I acctually love how different this is to Bear's Godzilla Theme from KOTM. This isn't your hero Godzilla. This time he isn't our protector. He's the god of destruction. And Junkys theme adds to this. (Even though we find out later why Godzilla acts like this). Glorious.
We know that Godzilla is suitable for a Hero and Villain Role but Legendary Godzilla is Terrifying as Hell if he's the Villain. The way he Attacks Kong really Fast and Full of Rage, It's like a Mirror to the Old Godzilla Incarnations. The Old Incarnations were Brutal when it comes in Fighting and that's how Godzilla acts in this epic movie This is probably the first time Godzilla scared me XD #TeamGojira
If I had one complaint about this movie, it would be not bringing back Bear McCreary to compose the soundtrack for GvsK. His work on the GKOTM was a freaking masterpiece. But if Bear wasn't available, then at least include G's actual theme in GvsK. I mean, for Legendary to finally get the rights to Godzilla's theme for the last movie & then not use it in this one was kind of a miss to me. For comparison - that would be like not hearing some version of The Imperial March at all during Rogue One (or anything else Vader's been since the OT & will be in.).

Totally agree. The new theme feels like a knock-off version of the Ifukube theme and is really distracting to me as a result. If they weren't going to bring back Ifukube's theme, I would have preferred something totally original or even Desplat's 2014 theme rather than something that sounds close to Ifukube's theme but isn't it. It really feels like they wanted to use it but were too cheap to pay for the rights to use it again, so they just told Holkenborg to make something similar.
The entrance of this song.. just wow... and I can really feel how terrifying it feel to just see godzilla swim toward the shore of some city then start to destroy things
I'm torn on how to feel about the music in this film. On one hand, I like the atmosphere its sets and really makes Godzilla out to be horrifying At the same time, it feels half generic but also like it desperately WANTS to be the classic theme but is trying to be its own thing and just doesn't vibe. KotM definitely had the superior score. GvKs is gonna have to grow on me some more
I love how all of these movies, and the original movie, the music gives me goose bumps... every, time! And hearing this version, where the music is just, off tone from normal, making Godzilla's rage, with a guttural punch that is just so, so great! Legendary has done such an amazing job with each movie, as an adult, I have been enjoying the wider story, and these movies make me feel 4 years old again. The last few years have made being a nerd, glorious! :) I can't even type correctly because this makes me so giddy :)
I don't mind it so much. I like Godzilla when he's Antagonistic, brings him back to his roots. Plus he's been PURE Evil before, 2001 is that perfect example

I honestly didn’t like how this was a theme that just repeated itself, but now, each time I catch bits thrown in each time. My favorite part of the theme is when he enters Hong Kong and the drums kick in. THAT WAS BADASS
I was so hyped for a synth Godzilla theme song, but honestly this one just ended up feeling like a poor-man’s ifukube track. I still like it, but this movie easily has my least favorite music out of the monsterverse

Godzilla in GVK is probably my favorite. This just shows how powerful he really is, and even after 10 years since San Fran, people still have nothing on him. Part 2 of the Hong Kong fight has Godzilla really showing his hatred for Kong. My second favorite is 2019 Godzilla, the awesome protagonist trying to keep balance. But even that is nothing compared to this angered god.

the Godzilla's theme from the movie is truly paradoxical, because Godzilla trying to save the world from an evil corporation who want ruling on the planet and to exterminate all the kaiju, Kong and his allies are nothing more than pawns. Godzilla is the real hero of the movie, i'm really happy that Tom Holkenborg, the composer of my all time favorite movie Alita Battle Angel, made the music of the last episode of the trillogy ! Actually, I strongly agree with you. GVK's score doesn't hold a candle to KOTM's score and Godzilla's GVK theme feels hollow and lifeless. The soundtrack for KOTM had a real sense of energy, passion, and liveliness to it, making it all the more riveting to listen to. Even though I was utterly disappointed in KOTM as an overall movie, Bear McCreary's score was one of the very few things in that movie that actually lived up to my expectations. Needless to say, I really wish McCreary did the score for GVK, as well.
I predict this will be played in the opening in any of the movie with Destroyah in it. The opening will be Godzilla's highlights from defeating the muto's, ghidorah and Kong and whoever else in the past. I know they showed it in Godzilla vs Kong opening but Godzilla vs Destoroyah opening will be more dark sinisterous

I think his rashness was simply out of desperation to stop what he thought was King Ghidorah and he most likely believed the humans and Kong were attempting to help him.

I acctually love how different this is to Bear's Godzilla Theme from KOTM. This isn't your hero Godzilla. This time he isn't our protector. He's the god of destruction. And Junkys theme adds to this. (Even though we find out later why Godzilla acts like this). Glorious.

We know that Godzilla is suitable for a Hero and Villain Role but Legendary Godzilla is Terrifying as Hell if he's the Villain. The way he Attacks Kong really Fast and Full of Rage, It's like a Mirror to the Old Godzilla Incarnations. The Old Incarnations were Brutal when it comes in Fighting and that's how Godzilla acts in this epic movie

If I had one complaint about this movie, it would be not bringing back Bear McCreary to compose the soundtrack for GvsK. His work on the GKOTM was a freaking masterpiece.
But if Bear wasn't available, then at least include G's actual theme in GvsK.
I mean, for Legendary to finally get the rights to Godzilla's theme for the last movie & then not use it in this one was kind of a miss to me.
For comparison - that would be like not hearing some version of The Imperial March at all during Rogue One (or anything else Vader's been since the OT & will be in.).

I'm also sad Desplat's 2014 themes were never reused, his score is great and underrated, even if it isn't Ifukube
@@BattyWanderer I would've loved a mixture of both classic themes and Desplat's theme, as well as the 1933 and 2017 theme's for Kong. Imagine the Skull Island song playing when Kong arrives in Hong Kong!
Totally agree. The new theme feels like a knock-off version of the Ifukube theme and is really distracting to me as a result. If they weren't going to bring back Ifukube's theme, I would have preferred something totally original or even Desplat's 2014 theme rather than something that sounds close to Ifukube's theme but isn't it. It really feels like they wanted to use it but were too cheap to pay for the rights to use it again, so they just told Holkenborg to make something similar.
Idk when i heard this theme in the theater i got chills and it just made the scenes more exciting for me
The entrance of this song.. just wow... and I can really feel how terrifying it feel to just see godzilla swim toward the shore of some city then start to destroy things
I'm torn on how to feel about the music in this film.
On one hand, I like the atmosphere its sets and really makes Godzilla out to be horrifying
At the same time, it feels half generic but also like it desperately WANTS to be the classic theme but is trying to be its own thing and just doesn't vibe.
KotM definitely had the superior score. GvKs is gonna have to grow on me some more

I love how all of these movies, and the original movie, the music gives me goose bumps... every, time! And hearing this version, where the music is just, off tone from normal, making Godzilla's rage, with a guttural punch that is just so, so great! Legendary has done such an amazing job with each movie, as an adult, I have been enjoying the wider story, and these movies make me feel 4 years old again. The last few years have made being a nerd, glorious! :) I can't even type correctly because this makes me so giddy :)

The trailers and even parts of the movie make Godzilla out to be this evil tyrant, and I resent that so hard
I don't mind it so much. I like Godzilla when he's Antagonistic, brings him back to his roots. Plus he's been PURE Evil before, 2001 is that perfect example

Godzilla has been firmly established as a force of balance in this continuity. That didn't change in this film, it just sl happens that humanity ended up on the bad end of that title.
Is it just me or is this more sad than scary. It's not that is isn't scary per say but it's knowing that this used to be such a heroic inspiring theme that has been corrupted by hatred. It's like when your loving dad got drunk and violent one night. It's almost scarring for godzilla fans

I honestly didn’t like how this was a theme that just repeated itself, but now, each time I catch bits thrown in each time. My favorite part of the theme is when he enters Hong Kong and the drums kick in. THAT WAS BADASS

I was so hyped for a synth Godzilla theme song, but honestly this one just ended up feeling like a poor-man’s ifukube track. I still like it, but this movie easily has my least favorite music out of the monsterverse
What up, Kiki? Man, I'm the opposite: I think this movie has the second-best music in the Monsterverse. Regarding the new theme, I was a little disappointed but it's slowly grown on me. But again, I understand what you mean! Hopefully, it grows on you too even if a little bit.

Personally I wish they kept his classic theme from KOTM but I don't mind this, makes Godzilla more of a horror character
Godzilla in GVK is probably my favorite. This just shows how powerful he really is, and even after 10 years since San Fran, people still have nothing on him. Part 2 of the Hong Kong fight has Godzilla really showing his hatred for Kong.
My second favorite is 2019 Godzilla, the awesome protagonist trying to keep balance.
But even that is nothing compared to this angered god.

the Godzilla's theme from the movie is truly paradoxical, because Godzilla trying to save the world from an evil corporation who want ruling on the planet and to exterminate all the kaiju, Kong and his allies are nothing more than pawns. Godzilla is the real hero of the movie, i'm really happy that Tom Holkenborg, the composer of my all time favorite movie Alita Battle Angel, made the music of the last episode of the trillogy !
I love both Godzilla and Alita, long live the kaiju king and the battle angel !

I have to say this theme is amazing and suits the king of the monsters well,it shows how menacing Godzilla is and would be if he was real.But and the same time it’s pretty “eh” compared to the theme of Godzilla in kotm were,in that you had the epic remix of the original theme and the chanting,and just so many other things the composer for Gvk could of done for Godzilla theme (and kongs) could’ve added to the soundtrack but didn’t

Actually, I strongly agree with you. GVK's score doesn't hold a candle to KOTM's score and Godzilla's GVK theme feels hollow and lifeless. The soundtrack for KOTM had a real sense of energy, passion, and liveliness to it, making it all the more riveting to listen to. Even though I was utterly disappointed in KOTM as an overall movie, Bear McCreary's score was one of the very few things in that movie that actually lived up to my expectations. Needless to say, I really wish McCreary did the score for GVK, as well.

I predict this will be played in the opening in any of the movie with Destroyah in it. The opening will be Godzilla's highlights from defeating the muto's, ghidorah and Kong and whoever else in the past. I know they showed it in Godzilla vs Kong opening but Godzilla vs Destoroyah opening will be more dark sinisterous

I think his rashness was simply out of desperation to stop what he thought was King Ghidorah and he most likely believed the humans and Kong were attempting to help him.
