Cool puzzle, reminds me of a simplified Mf8 Grilles Cube. I'm pretty sure it would be possible to make a puzzle that looks exactly the same as the Resolve Cube, but it's an actual 4x4 with exposed centers.
Maybe that's something I have planned for a future puzzle 👀
