Today I discuss whether or not I still think ultra wides are a good purchase after using one for the past year. And to spoil it, they're awesome.

Totally agree. I have an LG 34" curved display. Use it for creating my podcasts both audio and visual. Its just so simple to run 2 screens side by side so I can copy and paste without getting lost. Considering upscaling to the 49" screen next year if the electric standing desk can handle it.
Nice, I’d be keen to try a 49in at some point too!!
I think 38" is the threshold for entering the league of ultrawides lol but for those who can't would you advise a 32" 4k monitor or a 34" 1440p Ultrawide?
Great video! Btw, what desk is that? Looks amazing esp for a ultrawide setup
It's an Omnidesk! :) I love it!!
Great video. Do you have any thoughts on curved vs flat ultra wide. Recently I purchased a 32" but due to the size of the monitor and depth of my desk, it hurts my neck to look up at the top of the screen. 27" is the next option but I like the thought of a 34" wide. I do graphic design. Any concerns with a curved screen and trying to design.
I haven't used flat ultra wides so not really sure. With your neck, do you have the center of your monitor at eye level? That might help? Also, in regards to design I haven't had any issues with creating content/editing photos. I think as long as it's a gentle curve you'll be fine! :)
Once you go UW you can never go back...
So true!! haha
my friend went 34” 1440p to 27” 4k and loves as a programmer, so there are some ways back
They are too thin IMO. Just use a 43inch 4K TV as a larger monitor They are MUSH cheaper and it gives you tons of real estate for all your tasks.
They're definitely much cheaper!
What monitor arm is that?
It's a Prism+ arm I believe :)
This is 24:10, not 21:9 btw
uwu I love my ultrawide as well ^^ so good when editing videos / working with excel sheets but it's a bit of a pain when trying to stream games though (cries in diablo)
hahaha good point!! I've found the same thing!
