I recently got my dads sx750. He died on Christmas day last year 2022. I have synths and keyboards of my own, but that is the one I will never part with, keeps a little piece of him with me. It is a lovely keyboard.
This shop in Peterborough is excellent very helpful staff, bought a Keyboard and Guitar Fromm this store, staff are so helpful, and after care support is outstanding . Brilliant.
I was considering the Korg Nautilus and even the Kronos. But you actually convinced me to get this keyboard instead, and by the way, your way of demonstrating the different sounds blown me away. The beauty of this keyboard is that it gives inspiration to create a new song based on the template already preloaded from a particular song that now I can incorporate on my own composition. The quality, body and clarity of the majority of the sounds are just amazing. I had a misperception on arrangers and I never considered them as part of my collection since I'm a more home studio musician. But this PSR-SX900 take things to a different level. Thanks so much for sharing.

You made the correct choice in my opinion .I'm no expert but I did have an early edition Kronos and a PSR S770. The Kronos, though technically superior was heavy going, especially when it came to sequencing . It has huge possibilities but it also had a steep learning curve . The arranger is much more inspirational and great fun to use, straight out of the box . Arrangers tend to be frowned upon by some synth fans for various reasons but it's all about the music at the end of the day. As a pianist I don’t know if I can get the handle of only 61 keys. I love the sounds so much of this psr keyboard that I can compromise.

I still have my venerable DX7 mk2-D and occasionally use my friends SY77. It is very impressive how far yamaha has come since those days. Considering yamaha got caught flat footed when Korg put out their M1 (a pure sampled wavesynth keyboard), and at the time yamaha's wavesynth tech was not quite up to that level (quite primitive in comparison really), they decided to combine what they had with the best they had in FM synth tech at the time (5 years on from the DX7 no less) and came out with the hybrid FM/Wavesynth design of the SY77 which was able to have some real punch and depth to its sound. As realistic as the Korg M1 was capable of sounding at the time, in my opinion it lacked a kind of organic texture that only FM operators were capable of. And yamaha did their best to supplement that FM synth with the realism of wavesynth. And this created something absolutely unique, and Yamaha have decided to pioneer this ever since and perfect it. Simply stunning.
Wishus knight very well stated regarding the SY77. However IMHO it was the SY99 released 2 years after the SY77 that was the ultimate AWM + FM monster with its much improved AWM waveforms, expendable sample RAM and superior dual fx processors. Not to mention the lovely 76 note keyboard.
@@madness8556 The SY77 was almost literally a case of Yamaha throwing a noodle against the wall to see if it was cooked yet. They needed something in the market that could compete. And the 77 was a good first step. But you are right, Yamaha is all about iterative refinement and the 99 was the perfect example of that. The SY series as a whole was something unique and original. And yamaha knows how to rely on what they are good at.

Awesome playing and material/songs. Scats have come a long way (rivals Roland). Guitars are stellar. There is so much more about this keyboard too. Getting one soon and I'm a big Korg fan too.
that dx midnight is NIIIIICEEEEE.... all of them are. but concert grand, and dx midnight were my fav, but haven't heard the fender rhodes sound yet... damn just got to the church organ one... wouldn't use that too much but its niiiiice
Can you please demonstrate how you select those Styles and Voices for each demo that you present here? You can be just playing a recording and we'll not notice a difference of what you are doing.
Wish to see the futuristic Two-Layer keyboard. Lower layer is similar to this AKX-10, where Pitch Bending takes the whole left hand. Another layer, the upper one, is like ROLI silicone keyboard where five-dimension parameters control can be done by right hand only.

Thanks for watching and for your comment! As it happens, the section you refer to is simply the Concert Grand Piano sound. It is a S.Art sound and it is the default grand piano sound that is the first sound you're presented with when powering on the instrument.
