JD Tippet was an adulterer. He had a girlfriend nearby. JD was sent to that area on an assignment to murder Lee Harvey Oswald, but Lee was not there. JD stood next to badge man, Roscoe White, on the Grassy Knoll while Roscoe blew JFK’s head off. JD Tippet was a handsome man and looked like JFK. JD was murdered, so parts of him could be used to fix up JFK’s corpse on the way back to Washington on Air Force 2. Rachel White and Richard Hooke figured most of this stuff out.

What a lovely lady. I retired from the Queensland Police Service here in Australia, 3 years ago after 37 years service. I too served in the Australian Army prior to my police service. Unfortunately I lost a number of mates during those years and dealt with a few families. It is the ultimate sacrifice to lay down your life in the execution of your duty. Rest in peace JD and Marie (I believe she has since passed away). With Honour he served. On another note. On Monday the 26th of October 1964, one of our policemen, Senior Constable Desmond Trannore was fatally shot at a domestic dispute at an area known as Little Mulgrave, situated near the town of Gordonvale in Far North Queensland south of Cairns. Whilst I performed duties at Gordonvale in 1987, I made some inquiries about his death. Strange thing is that when Des got the phone call in relation to the disturbance, he drove home to his home, which was on the way, and spoke to his wife Colleen. He also spoke to his children. He told Colleen to keep his dinner hot as he would be home after he attended the job. He never returned. It's just as well he did stop at home. His family got to see him for that short time. Uncanny how similar this was to JD's story.

@@peggylavelle581 There are a lot of eyewitness accounts of Tippet acting strangely earlier in the day. One witness described Tippet pulling in front of his car, getting out, looking inside, and then getting back in the car and leaving. An employee of a local music store lent Tippet the use of his phone and stated he seemed bothered and that whomever he was trying to call did not answer. If I remember correctly, in the book Reasonable Doubt, there was a section regarding the possibility that Tippet was shot by a spurned husband and that the wife had a child early in 1964 that might have been Tippet's. Who knows. There is a lot we do not know about this case. None of this excuses the fact someone shot a policeman, but tying it to the JFK assassination is still very questionable at best.

A lovely woman. I am glad she was able to be laid to rest next to J.D. I was only 4 months old when the assassination and murder of Officer Tippit occurred.
My cousin Scotty knew officer Tippit. He and his high school buddies used to sneak into an Oak Cliff drive-in movie and officer Tippit caught them once. They said he was a nice guy and laughed at their attempt to sneak in without paying, Scotty and officer Tippit became friends. So sorry for his murder.
After Abraham Zapruder sold his film rights of the assassination to Time-Life, he donated the money, I think it was around $10 grand, to Mrs. J.D. Tippitt.
Abe Zapruder was paid $150,000.00 dollars for the rights to the film by Life Magazine. He then donated $25,000.00 to Tippet’s widow. Years later Life then sold it back to the Zapruder family for a token of one dollar. The government then paid the family 16 Million dollars for the film.
@@mikerca Life bought it to put in a cupboard.. not seen for 10yrs.. but if anything that 16 million tells you Zapruder shot that film for CIA.. why did he even bother to stand on the plinth while filming???..even took a woman from his dress makming factory to hold his legs steady while 'shooting' that film.. think it was actually made for tv/news.. but even with video manipulation it still looked like JFK was shot from the front.. not back. so was never used
This was a fascinating presentation, which I greatly appreciated. I was a sophomore in a small college when JFK was assassinated. He had been elected when our American family was still living in South Africa, where I grew up. So I wasn’t very savvy about politics. And living in a Republican state, which didn’t vote for Kennedy, still the grief for our President and his family was heart-felt and the nation seemed united in both our compassion for our first family and outrage for who could have done this. I remember the shooting of police officer Tippett but no other details of his family. I remember soaking up everything I could find about Oswald and his wife and then being horrified by his death by point-blank shots by Jack Ruby. The conclusions I came to back then were that the Warren Commission didn’t reveal the answers by any means. It seemed like a cover-up to me. Many who had significant first-hand reports to share were not even consulted. I didn’t doubt that LHO killed Tippett, however, but I see in the comments that inconsistencies abound. Nevertheless, I was touched by the heartwarming stories told by the the Tippett family, the officers who looked out for the family over the years, and how Jackie and Robert Kennedy reached out personally. I was most touched by the fact that J.D. Tippett was a Christian man, who read the Bible to his family and the fact that of gift God provided in prompting him to come home for lunch just before he died. I love the strength that they showed through the years and how their oldest son must have suffered perhaps the most but come to Christ before he died. The whole story is heart-warming and I was thrilled to have it suggested to me on TH-cam. The comments were on the whole heart-warming as well. I’m glad Mr and Mrs Tippett were laid to rest together and that the library captured these moments for all of us. ❤️🌹
I was about 22 years old when this happened and I have always thought Tippet was there by design, and Lee Harvey Oswald as well, and the movie theater also. A good book is Roger Stones book " The man who killed Kennedy, the case against LBJ. No wonder their out to get Roger Stone ! I got my copy at Barnes and Noble.
I do as well...but l have my doubts as Dallas and Texas wanted to put all of that day behind them as quickly as possible. The Saint l see in this lady was all that she could be and ever asked to be.
Abraham Zapruder gave her $25k from the money he received from LIFE magazine, which showed love and compassion on his part. Later on, the govt gave the Zapruder family $16M. I havent read anywhere if they shared any of that or not, in which they didnt have to, but Bless them if they did. I hate that she died thinking that LHO killed her husband, or, in my opinion...just like Clint Hill, she may have went along to get along. I dont believe Oswald did it all.
She knows damn well her husband was involved in the plot. He was supposed to kill Oswald. It’s been proven he was at the carousel club the night before. She’s a bad liar.
Marie Tippit is one of the very few in the Oak Cliff area who did NOT see Oswald either shooting her husband or fleeing the crime scene with a revolver.
God bless this Family - they should definitely publish all those thousand of letters that they received over the years that captures the sentiment of people all around the world, reacting to that moment in history. “Where were you when JFK was shot?” was something I remember adults discussing a lot when I was growing up. JFK’s assassination and funeral played every anniversary on tv for about 20+ years. However, I do remember the assassinations of MLK and Bobby Kennedy in 1968 more vividly. I remember all the adults standing around our brand new TV set and crying, while I played with my Hot Wheels on the floor. It’s my earliest memory as a child. I would start kindergarten that coming fall and go visit the eternal flame 🔥 in Arlington Cemetery on a 5th Grade school trip to see all the Washington Monuments.
Those cops holding up a lie. They never apprehended the killer of JD Tipit! Oswald's pistol used different ammo, than shell casing found at scene.. It also had a bent firing pin!
Mrs. Tippit seems like a wonderful woman. I feel for her loss. That said, it amazes me how after all these years and all the controversy and things that don’t make sense, there are still so many who are waiting in the wings to push the official version. To keep up the charade, is to ignore the testimony of Acquilah Clemmons, the shooting of Warren Reynolds in the basement of his business, who as it happens, was also witness to two men fleeing the scene of officer Tippits shooting.
Clemmons is a liar nobody else of the 10 to 12 people who were there that day seen what she said she seen.Somebody probably slipped a few bucks to say that.
Very nice of the Kennedy family to think of her husband. Mrs Markum was not able to positively identify Oswald. Her testimony in the WC was very scattered. One second she thought it was him next minute she said she wasn’t sure. The WC just took it that she identified him. There were other witnesses that saw two men at the scene of Tippets murder A black lady Camillia(?) said one man ran off that was kinda stick and the other ran another direction but she said neither looked like Oswald. She was never called to testify by the WC.
Read Clemmons' words and it's clear she saw Oswald and a bystander who was trying to back away from the shooting, that's all. A steady chain of witnesses firmly demonstrate it was Oswald who fled the shooting and was captured in the Theater where he tried to murder a second cop minutes later.
@rowdy9379 Three unforced errors on your end. 1) Yes, it was Oswald, as the mountain of solid evidence attests. 2) Oswald tested positive for GSR on his hand. 3) The ballistic, photographic and forensic evidence is very clear that the shots came from *_behind_* the limo.
It’s not sad. She knew her husband was involved in the plot, she’s a bad liar. He wasn’t at home the night before because it been proven he was at the carousel club with Jack Ruby and Lee Harvey Oswald.
As tragic as a loss this lady had to go through, it's nice to see along with everything else, the word allegedly in front of Oswald's name is being that he never got his day in court. Did he do it? Probably, but once again innocent until proven guilty in a court of law..
Dwayne Collins: The evidence is overwhelming, the case relatively routine. Had it not been for the prominence of the victim, the case against Oswald could have been tried in two or three days with little likelihood of any but one result. Fifty-eight-plus years of miserable failure in trying to prove a conspiracy. And whether Oswald is alive or not, to defend himself against the mountain of evidence stacked against him, the evidentiary mountain exists all the same.
If the evidence is so overwhelming, why did the Assasination Review Board (ARB) conclude that there was indeed " a probable conspiracy " ? Why some 60 years later are documents still being kept secret from the American people ? What is so terrible that it still needs to remain hidden to this day ? If some " lone nut " had really killed a President and Police Officer there would be zero need to keep anything secret. President after President have promised to release the sealed JFK files before they were sworn in......President after President when they were in office and presumably learned the truth, changed their minds and agreed to keep the documents secret. Hoover, before ANY evidence had actually been heard by the Warren Commision, said it was essential that the American people believed LHO had killed JFK acting alone. The breaches of security procedures, the trail of deaths, the threats to witnesses, the unbelievable incompetence of the initial investigation should ring so many alarm bells that any reasonable person would conclude a cover up. I believe that most of the Presidents were good people and therefore they decided that any benefit from full disclosure would be outweighed by the damage done by full disclosure. Whatever it is that is being hidden is huge........so huge we may never know ?
@@garymoore2535 It may be high time to pay better attention in class. The ARRB concluded no such thing as you imagine. To repeat: The ARRB examined all the unreleased files/docs. After their study was done, they reported there was no “smoking conspiracy gun" in any of them. The files that have not been released are because they contain names of people that are still alive and should be protected; or they detail investigative procedures the FBI, CIA or other governmental agencies do not want publicized. The "hidden" files are the last gasp by conspiracy kooks that have nothing left. They have no evidence of a conspiracy and no clue who or what else to blame. Evidently, you're confusing the ARRB with the HSCA, whose determination of "probable conspiracy" was based *_solely_* on last minute acoustical evidence (of a supposed 4th shot). But this evidence was debunked 3 years later by the NRC (National Research Council, part of the National Academy of Sciences), which concluded that the House's conclusion was based on faulty data and poor methodology. This left the House with random static, white noise, and no conspiracy (probable or otherwise).
I've always wondered at Tippit's revolver was found under his body, yet other witnesses said it was in front of the front wheel driver's side. Why was his gun out in the first place? There's a lot of strange evidence included in the Warren Report.

"But there is absolutely no proof that Oswald killed Tippit. The bullets found in Tippit did not match Oswalds gun." Where are you getting this from? It's a well-documented fact that the bullets were indeed ballistically matched to Oswald's gun.
The evidence is overwhelming that Oswald killed Tippit. There was around a dozen witnesses that saw Oswald shoot Tippit or saw him seconds afterwards fleeing the scene. All the empty shells were matched to Oswald's revolver, all bullets were consistent with his revolver.
Except that his rifle was found in the Depository building and he was proven to have signed for and bought that rifle, he was tested and nitrates were found on his hands, his palm print was found on the rifle, he was proven to have bought the .38 Special which killed Tippit, he fled the Depository building when NONE of the other employees did, the curtain rods he was supposed to have brought into the Depository building were never found, he discarded the jacket he was wearing while in flight, he directed the taxi driver to drive past his rooming house so he could walk back, he stated that the photo of him holding a rifle was faked but his wife Marina said she took that photo....And on it goes.

I live within a mile of the JD Tippit Historical Marker, Oswald’s boarding house, Oswald’s “Rifle Photo” house & Jack Ruby’s Apartment…. I’ve visited Tippets marker several times & all the other sights of JFK. To hear this pure woman speak is a blessing to have been filmed. That being said & believing Tippit & Oswald were both marks of a much higher plot. However, she’s a blessing to know her husband was pure & whoever the evils were to take out her husband aren’t worthy of speaking- As her husband was pure & true. I believe Oswald & Tippit we’re both killed by the same man.
A good possibility.

J.D. Tippit was up to no good on November 22nd, 1963

Oswald didn't kill Tippit, he was seen talking to a Cuban-looking guy & a heavy sett-looking guy! Don't you find it odd not one, no U.S. newspaper looked into the killings? Control the media & control the population.

Oswald shot JFK.
It must be so painful for you to know a kook with a firearm was able to kill someone in such an important office.
My condolences to you.
Does anybody have the Tippit murder autopsy report?
"There was so much confusion .. " that the DALLAS PD helped create."
It sure as hell wasn't Oswald. The autopsy showed Tippit was shot multiple times with two different kinds of bullets.
Wrong all day.
I had never heard that Officer Tippett was awarded the Bronze Star. That he never told his wife about it tells you all you need to know about a true hero.
Why did Tippett receive a bronze medal?

Very moving moment and a great shock to lose her husband in this way. But there is absolutely no proof that Oswald killed Tippit. The bullets found in Tippit did not match Oswalds gun.
"But there is absolutely no proof that Oswald killed Tippit. The bullets found in Tippit did not match Oswalds gun."
Where are you getting this from? It's a well-documented fact that the bullets were indeed ballistically matched to Oswald's gun.
The evidence is overwhelming that Oswald killed Tippit. There was around a dozen witnesses that saw Oswald shoot Tippit or saw him seconds afterwards fleeing the scene. All the empty shells were matched to Oswald's revolver, all bullets were consistent with his revolver.
@Raw Bacon WRONG...38 auto is not the same case as the 38 special that he carried! Also the 38 auto would not work in revolver!

Oswald was an assassin. The facts are shocking. Whether he was a lone assassin we will never know . Oswald worked at the Texas school book depository . His work colleague gave him a lift to work , Oswald was carrying a package which he stated were curtain rods , he was lying , it was a rifle. He fled the scene after the assassination whilst other employees stayed. He murdered officer Tippett , then fled and hid inside a cinema where he was reported to police. The police attended the cinema where Oswald started fighting and resisting arrest . This is not the actions of an innocent man!
I guess they're never gonna talk about how Oswald DIDN'T kill J. D..
