For all amateur bubblegummers in the crowd, try scratching the end of your electrode on the concrete floor if it won't start easy, knocks off the crucible cup and grinds slagged ends, less likely to damage the flux from hard impacts when trying to scratch the arc.

You can do one better. Add 2 Tees on the backside of the diverter valve for pressure and return. Then run from there some hoses to the rear of the tractor. That way you have a rear remote. Making it a multi purpose 3rd function.

The copper below the solenoid coil could possibly be to dissipate any residual magnetic field left by the electro coil. They typically use a non ferrous metal washer. I see this a lot in refrigeration solenoid valves.

As you’ve described, a diverter valve “takes over” one of the existing functions when activated. A true third function is a valve attached to the power-beyond port and can be activated independently.
Good on Deere for accurately identifying this as a diverter valve. Mahindra isn’t as forthcoming in their description.

I think I saw 10 GPM on your spec sheet. Just wanted to say that the symbols you drew were for spool valve type directional valves, not the screw in cartridge valves that you are using. That could cause some confusion to some of your subs if they are looking to you for instruction on such stuff. An elderly Native American once taught me that a piece of broken file taped, screwed or glued to a short piece of 2X4 with a magnet on the backside makes an excellent place to knock the bugger off the end of 7018 rods when they need to be restarted. The coarser the file the better. Still lovin' your crazy approach to spreading knowledge. Keep it up, LOL

If you want to do it proper, you need a Eaton Vickers open center valve. You place the valve in series before it gets to the hitch control valve and hook up the electronicals. You can find handles with switches in them also. Dear John's engineers said I couldn't do it but I proved them wrong. It worked really well and allowed the third function to work with the other functions as all the fluids are passing through the valve all the time. Was a fun science experiment for the other knuckle draggers to watch.

6:48 GEEZE you are not lying. I installed a radiator on my friends car several years ago and I slapped it in out of the box and the trans cooler fitting that was mounted to the radiator out of the box was leaking like a sieve.... but of course he made it a few days before it really started leaking.
Also I work in an automotive shop and you get these inexperienced people doing simple stuff like tire rotations and they are bad to finger tight the lug nuts ALL THE WAY DOWN... as in there is no outwardly obvious way to tell the wheels are loose. They walk off and get distracted and a car could leave the shop with a wheel that is JUST tight enough to make it up to the speed of death. Versus if they had just left them flappin' in the breeze you would hear that they were loose immediately when driving it out of the shop OR if you had the foreskin to kick the tire as a quick check it would be obvious.
Yes always check out of the box condition of all important bolts/fittings.

I recommend using leak lock pipe dope. It'll seal about any pipe thread. It's alcohol soluble. Also it hardens like loctite after a while.

I might be wrong, but that Delta Power logo is a Greek Delta character, followed by a P.
But I'm no scholar, no Greek, and I'm distinctly adverse to any sort of change.
So don't take my word for it.

Simple long term solution to making NPT fittings not leak is to just dope them with two part epoxy, like JB weld, when assembling.
Given the typical two part epoxy has less than 5000 PSI sheer strength and is in a sub paper thin layer in the threads only filing in the microscopic gaps , it doesn't take much force to unthread the fitting if needed. I've been doing problematic hydraulic fitting fixes that way for 20 or better years that way and never had a problem with reoccurring leaks/fitting seep issues for it.

The "I'm an operator" quote with that exact voice made me spit out my beer all over my screen. Us welder types that run everything like to make fun of the operators that can't do anything else but run the equipment and we use that exact voice with that same quote.

If the solenoid on the rod end takes a crap on ya and you pressurize the blind end you can fairly easily generate enough pressure to crack the cylinder in half long ways, due to the difference in surface area. The broken cylinder preceded doing the math on just how much extra mechanical advantage that difference in surface area produces in my particular case.

ive used looks like the same kit but for a kioti tractor. mine was a generic one so i had to source own hoses and fittings. i hate the zip tie switch and need to come up with something better. i put on the tractor for a snow blade. the reason for it is the cost of a valve for my tractor "the right way" was more than double and would take a lot more work. this was simple to install. took more time making a bracket and getting hoses with all the odd ends on them for the tractor side. enjoyed the video

We had a fairway mower that started leaking form a face o-ring joint. Took me all summer to get it straightened out and i had to do a little machining to the fitting.
