- Hiii, long time no see. We are back with a new vlog, catching up on where we have been. In this vlog we cycle on a local audax route around some of the Chilterns finest roads, by road bike.

A little about me
Thanks for dropping by.
I’m your classic runner turned newbie cyclist.
For years I feared riding a bike - I was afraid of traffic, clipping in, couldn’t get my head around lycra, chamois cream and clambering up hills on a bike.
I didn’t believe that riding a bike would give me the same de-stress, mental download or sense of freedom that life as a long distance runner had given me before my knees ground to dust.
Fast forward to 2021 and picking up a second hand CAAD10 changed my life for the better. Not just physically and mentally. But also providing a sense of community and belonging - which is magic. The cycling community is just magic.
So I’m here. To hopefully inspire others to not fear the bike - the lycra, the clipping in. And come share the passion, freedom and indescribable joy that comes from being on the bike. I truly believe that the bike life is the best life and everyone should be able to enjoy it.

Well done on no mow May don't worry your grass will be lush for the summer (if we go into drought 😅) because you've allowed for a deep rooting system to develop 🎉❤🎉 and the insects have been struggling this year due to the weather so if they could I am sure they would give you a massive hug 🐛🦋🐝🐜🐦

It’s so bad isn’t it! I always turn left to take the smoother tarmac. Felt like our gravel ride going down it 😂

Great video. Really nice route. My grandparents lived in Haddenham their whole lives. I've not been for quite a few years now. So nice to see.

I assume Whiteleaf hill will be in a forthcoming video? I wasn't able to get up it without walking until my 4th attempt! It was my bête noire for a year. Oooh, and that hill up past Chequers from Butlers Cross! A famous cyclists passed me there (famous for being an F1 driver, not a cyclists)

Ahhh whiteleaf! Yes a top 100 that one isn’t it! It’s a stinger near the end but a brilliant climb. Yes, I might ride that tomorrow actually, it’s a good Chilterns one to do if it’s been raining a fair bit!
Oh God the Mentmore descent, I nearly came off on TDR last year as I was too busy chatting to a fellow cyclist to notice the dreadful ruts and holes - I think it's gotten worse since then!
It’s so bad now! Still super beautiful of course but blinking dangerous!
When I raced I lived for it,after a days work going training for 3 hours on a climbing circuit never saw the wife 🤣wish I could do it all again. Thanks for another great video 👍

@@Pelohun it’s one of the best cafes around. The village is beautiful too. Not sure if you would have been to Cafe Belge it’s in Nash it closed for a while but apparently is reopening soon.

Single stitching on the seams on suit trousers. I would expect that from Primark not a suit which cost the best part of a grand. Have a great week Kate x
