I think ofyour approach as "easy progress". Keep it easy enough to keep going but just tough enough to make progress. Works for me.

I've been working out for decades, so this wasn't me to me. But you made it so accessible and fun that I watched the whole thing with great pleasure. Thanks for making this all so much fun!

This video is gold! I couldn't stop laughing the first few minutes.
I wish I would have known this advice ten years ago, when I started working out. I grew up with the mentality of "no pain, no gain", and it only led me to injuries, suffering and actually very little gains.
Matt, I discovered your channel recently and I am loving your approach to exercise, thank you for sharing your experience and your wisdom so we can improve our lives!

Thanks for the video. I will share it with a friend of mine who grew up with "No pain no gain" and "Feel the burn."" She always says I am not going hard enough, yet she is always in pain. I have caught up to her with movements, but I am slow and steady, so I have no pain doing some of the same exercises.

Your videos are the best "beginner" videos ... and they don't even say "beginner".

So nice to see real and valuable information on mobility hitting the mainstream. I rehabbed atrophy in my left knee after tearing the meniscus and the first response from doctors was essentially this is is. A couple years later with some good mobility training under my belt and I can do 10 full range pistol squats on both sides

Great video, I find this topic is a hidden gem. Many, maybe even most, people seem to use too much or not enough effort but finding the proper levels is ideal of course.

I love the way you demonstrate the different motions and make it just fine to not go full on and break everything trying to "feel better" in motion. Love the skeleton routine! Funny and very informative and helpful. I'm the 65 year old who had the hip replacement who can now squat comfortably for 5 minutes....awesome videos that really help real people....like me! =D

Made me feel better. My left leg is stuck at what I think is level 2. I lost muscle due to a condition that causes spasms. Makes it hard to go up stairs. I'll keep going and not give up!

After my exercise classes I did 5 minutes not longer then 10 minutes on a bike. Not hard biking easy with a little bit of resistance just that it was still enjoyable. After a few weeks I could take two stairs at once like I used to do again.

Great suggestions. Question: Is there a way to purchase an annual membership and pay once without 'auto-renew'. I am 74 and trying not to leave my heirs with lots of 'invisible' commitments. When/if I get to 75 I can re-up.

I can't do this, even leaning back a bit, without stabbing pain in my groin/hip area and also my psoas area and lower back.

@@BelCantoLari I've been diagnosed with a torn hip labrum. On the X-Ray it is barely noticeable. It's like a pebble in your shoe, very small, but it can cause a lot of unpleasant discomfort.

Hi Matt. I'm 57 and over the years I've come to prefer sleeping with a pillow between my knees while laying on my side. There's no pain to my hips if I don't have it but it is more comfortable. Is that any indication that my hips are getting weak in certain positions?

    • @Uprighthealth
      @Uprighthealth  ปีที่แล้ว

Yup. Your outer hips and inner thighs are probably getting weak. Check out my videos on hip pain while side sleeping!

I like to start on my slow twitch muscle then finish with fast twitch muscle. Growing muscle and increasing flexibility is difficult. Starting to think having a few minor injuries all the time is just normal

I enjoy these videos but have issues I cannot sort. I have osteoarthritis in my hip. I also have a double hernia and a strained adductor on the same side. I have not been active for the last 2 years and now need advice.... I am 66 years old and would appreciate some guidance. Thanks in advance.

When I first began watching your excellent videos I thought to myself, "this guy knows a lot, has a nice manner, and gets straight to the point." Lately, you have changed your style, and I am disappointed. I respectfully say that your attempt to add slapstick comedy into your teaching is a mistake. Too many TH-camrs think that they have to be funny. You don't. You are very good at bodywork. PLEASE rethink the comedy decision.🫡👍
