- Willie, Sarah and their dogs, Jack Spaniels & Nori, continue their biggest adventure yet - leaving suburban life and moving over the sea to a remote cottage on the Isle of Skye, off the west coast of the Scottish Highlands.
In this special episode, the Skye Lifers take you through a full day in the (Skye) Life!
From waking up in the morning, working on our creative practices in our converted outbuilding studios, walking our dogs, foraging for wild food, dodging the wild Scottish weather to work on our wee boat & cooking up a storm in the cottage kitchen - you'll see every bit of our day as it happens.
No fancy editing - everything in this video literally happened in one day and what an eventful & tiring one it turned out to be! We wouldn't have it any other way :)

In Western Australia it’s Monday morning for me to see Living The Skye Life. I watch while I am having breakfast with my 15 year old dog (Maltese X) on the couch. My husband who has dementia is still in bed so I watch it again with him when he is up. Absolutely, love your programme. Thank you.

I'm surprised you don't have a wee tea making station in the studio - a travel kettle and a couple of mugs plus a stash of tea bags and biscuits (you could take the milk out with you when you go there)!

Oh my goodness. The rain we experience here in Ca. Is nothing compared to what you all experience. It’s hard to imagine changing clothes several times a day. With all that being said, I truly appreciate seeing the down and dirty side to all of the work you two do every week to bring us Skye living. Thanks so much.
That’s where good waterproofs come in! We live in the Scottish Highlands and we don’t get wet often even though it rains hard and often because we have good clothing. X

I wanted to thank you for creating videos. My wife and I just returned to the US from a self driving tour around Scotland with a 2 night stop at Hame on Skye in Dunvegan. Dinner at the Stein Inn was amazing and we would not have known about it if it weren't for you. There were plenty of slow downs along the way to Stein to make way for the sheep crossing the road. Stops included the Skye brewery and the Fairy Glen there. We even managed to make a 50 pound donation to the Highland Council for a parking violation for not paying at the Fairy Glen car park...oh well. As we drove around we thought about you and wondered if we would have seen you guys around town (we were in Skye on the 16th and 17th of Sept. and took the ferry in Armadale on our way to Oban on the 18th - the weather was so nice that day!). Thanks again for creating videos and we will continue to watch.

Love your music Willie. Never a dull moment living in the Highlands. We have what we call the "weather wardrobe" lve had gators for years but only just started wearing them. They are amazing, keep legs and feet warm and dry, and stop water dripping off waterproof trousers into your boots.👍👍 Thanks guys till next time .......Alioban ❤❤🐕🐕🌨🌨

16:08 hi both. To put your minds at ease in the bad weather have you thought about fitting a bilge pump and a solar panel. Wired to a float switch it will pump out water and switch off automatically. We use this setup on our boat. Works great
We have a wee bilge pump!
This has definitely been the Wettest Summer in Scotland! My flowers barely reached potential! Hopefully we have a White Winter to make up for it! ❤

I used to drink coffee which I ground in a burr grinder, but
I found tea more enjoyable and tastier in the mouth.
I thought tea was the primary drink of the British Isles:)
