It's borderline criminal how the old buildings are allowed to fall into this state. Absolute beauty of architectural brilliance going to rot. Low tide around the island is absolutely stunning. So interesting to see the difference between high and low tide. Well done on piloting.
You can sure tell you guys are starting to get popular. This video was getting just hammered by ads! It's such a shame that those beautiful old buildings are left to decay like that. The government should set up an agency for the preservation of heritage buildings like this, so they don't just fall apart into ruins. Scott was right. At least preserve some of the materials to be used for restorations. Especially those pieces that David Niven handled. The drone footage at the end with the harp music were just simply beautiful. Thank you for putting in the time and effort to take us along on this journey with you!
Wow the drone footage absolutely had me in tears as had never ever seen such natural beauty. Please please put just that section on a separate video so we can enjoy it whenever we need a lift. May attract new viewers who love scenery but are not interested in renovation. It deserves a million views all on its own. I watch all your programmes and love you guys. Thanks to the kind person who gifted the drone.
Thank you so much to the lady whom donated the drone ! The scenery was just breathtaking felt quite emotional with all the beauty ❤ the house was lovely to see so sad these stunning buildings are left to decay in nature 😢
What an amazing gift! Now you'll be able increase those detective skills to comb the area from above and find forgotten roads, paths and more hidden structures.
All that kept repeatingin my mind was.....When we go down to the woods today, we're in for a Big surprise.......and then standing in front of our eye's This Beautiful Home.... Thank you.😊 I just had to tell you...you know it niggles till you do it.😂😊
Great vlog Katie & Scott ! , i love these ones you do showing the historical side of old buildings etc . Katie`s is the best pose by the broken window ! .
That was amazing, I wish you many happy hours of flying, filming and creating so much more content. It was so tranquil and relaxing to watch,i hope everyone enjoyed it as much as I did. The visit to the big house was very educational, all great to watch. Thank you 😃
We have watched every episode from the start since we found this 2 months ago. Had to wait 6 days for this episode to 'premiere'. Well worth the wait! Fantastic drone footage. big thanks to Leslie for the gift. David Niven in the episode as well!
In North Carolina, a rhododendron thicket that's impassible is called a rhododendron hell. What a shame to see butterfly bushes growing out of the windows on the Victorian mansion. I hope someone buys and restores it. In a weird way, it's comforting to see how quickly nature reclaims what humans have done. What fun to have a drone to play with!
lovely views, & btw seaweed is very good for a potatoe & veg garden, i remember my great-unkle used to have a beach bungalow & after a storm there would be masses of seaweed washed up, my great-unkle (with the help of me when i was a kid) we would bag it up & barrow it up to the back garden of the bungalow which had very sandy soil & he would stack the bags up & just leave the seaweed to rot in the fertilizer bags with a stone or a brick on top, & in winter when he would dig the garden over, the seaweed as well as rotted sheep & cow muck would be dug into the soil. My god, the tatties & beetroot, cabbage,s lettuce etc etc. Would be huge, also tomato plants would be planted directly into a prepard soil with seaweed etc, & they too used to grow in their abundanbe. Btw the seaweed had a very strong smell when ya emptyed it out of the bags that it had been rotted in, but the taste of fresh veg & new tatties were lovely. Enjoying your wonderful videos,
Beautiful water and sky and countrysi'd one of these days. I'll get to visit Scotland home of my ancestors. I can't wait to see you put in your Stone floor in , Well look beautiful, and hear Today's history lesson.😊
I thought it was just me! I look around in the home or in the garden, wondering where to start and say, out loud, "Right!" A call to action - determination - telling ourselves, "Get on with it!" Just starting is the hardest part.
Some beautiful footage you have captured, well done. The house visit was fascinating with its history but such a shame its been left as others have. Great vlog. Stay well.
Fantastic drone footage! Loved every minute. Thank you both and thank you to the generous person who donated the drone. I know it's hard work renovating the cottage and maintaining the surroundings but you are so so lucky to live there. Love watching your channel. Not a great follower of short clips but I always watch your main videos. Magic! Hugs to you both plus a scratch and tickle for the sheep and cats❤
THIS!!! Amazing!! I'll definitely be putting this one on repeat!! Fantastic episode!! Those drone shots! What a fabulous escape from my reality, thank you!! 💖💖💖💖💖
How exciting! This drone is going to be a game changer. I know they are quite delicate, so hope you did retrieve the 😅instructions from the ground. Have fun....
Scott- so fun to see you having Bit of happy!!! I enjoyed the reverse camera so we didnt have to choose between looking at you two lovelies or the scenery. Fabulous video!!!
This was a fantastic vlog. I would love to hear Katie tell us more about the history of Western Scotland. The drone footage was really special, almost dreamlike. Scott I am looking forward to seeing you with a haircut.
Peaceful interludes just had a hella upgrade! Thank you Leslie for your generosity. What a magical day to capture your first drone footage. So great to see the area at low tide on a glassy day!!
As always alarm set, not that that means I make the start. Anyways just had a noise at the stats 🎉🎉48+thous., subs and over 5 million views 🎉🎉 Well done, congratulations to you both. Kind regards and cheers. Kay/MillyKay
What a beautiful sea. loved the pose Scott! I know in person that water would be even more beautiful but even on the video it looks stunning to me along with the bluest sky on the day you filmed this video. That is a gorgeous Victorian gate, and the mansion in its heyday day must have been stunning. It’s sad to see such decay surrounding that old home, and the property would have been gorgeous. I’m so glad you had a day away from your island. Scott and Katie thank you for sharing your time with us. Scott you are hilarious. I so enjoy you both. Lovely gift of the drone! You’ll have a great time flying it and seeing such beautiful sites from high up. The water outside on your island is calm and lovely to see also. Absolutely love your videos. Have a great week. ❤❤❤
Gosh, really interesting video.. Thanks for taking us along to the old mansion and to see the beautiful sea colours. Scott really made me laugh posing! .. and the David Niven stories.. Good fun :) What a perfect day for the first drone flight! Gorgeous.
Absolutely glorious drone footage! Thankyou Leslie 🎉 and the gorgeous harp, just glorious. A tragedy to see the old mansion falling down, and agree with Scott, why cant recyclers come in and gather what they can for re-use? A real shame. Thankyou both. 😊
Actually, this homesteader from Central Texas does know where Kilbride is. I visited friends there another lifetime ago. And surprise, surprise. I had to agree with Scott on so many things this time He is a mosquito, or midgie, magnet as am I. It was a lovely episode. Thank you for recording it.
What a brilliant Vlog this week. Passed that Victorian Lodge many times, must stop and explore next time. The aerial shots/quality are fantastic. Off to watch David Niven playing Bonnie Prince Charlie now!
You always have interesting things to show. I agree...why are these places left to rot? Surely people are wanting to take on the challenge of restoration on a large place! I hope with the wonders around you, Scott and Katie are not going to meet their maker for a very long time. Whether it be camera low, camera high or drone footage you two live in the most amazing place. Thank you for sharing.
Wow. Someone please rescue that beautiful home. And err, I reckon you did cuddle with Jack while you opened that bottle of cider, Scott🤣God bless you Lesley. The drone visuals were AMAZING. Thank you xx Teresa 🙏🇦🇺❤
You guys are so entertaining, I've said before that I find myself smiling as I watch your videos, it seems I chuckle fairly often as well, thank you for that 😁... cheers from Newfoundland
Wow, it was fascinating to learn that a Victorian mansion could be deemed a ship! I also loved the aerial footage! Thank you both for your awesome work!
So very sad to see that house in ruins. It’s also criminal that owners are allowed to let their properties get into such a state. The step looks great Katie, is there nothing you can’t put your hand to. The drone footage was stunning, thank you for sharing it with us ❤xx
Spectacular footage of your land! Deserted homes are so sad and compelling at the same time. They keep the lawn up, which is kind of funny. Those bottles..."always hide the evidence" my husband always says..😂
So very sad to see what clearly once a beautiful building, left to just fall away into rubble all the artifacts too. Thankyou for the lovely drone footage, all the best kindest regards💖🤗🤗
Bravo! 👏👏👏 That shot right at the end overlooking Tioram as the sea bird flew by in front of shot ❤ - I actually let out a gasp in delight 😊 Such an incredibly beautiful part of the world and you captured it perfectly, especially with the comparison shots of high and low tide. Bloody proud of my country seeing that, so I am! ❤ Also loving the fascinating historical reports you're doing recently! Absolute legend David Niven was 😂
Scott that footage and your consistently perfect music awesome!!! The best on the internet, really really good, I love yah even if you can’t sing that great, it’s a joyful noise 😁👏👍 you make a good team. You both do what your best at.
Wonderful video ❤. I love that you flew the drone slowly and gently. It was very calming and made me nostalgic. 😢 Thank you for the tour of Loch Ailort House. I knew of the house but for some reason thought it was way up in the Highlands somewhere. 🙏🙏🙏 for you, your Creatures and your channel. Thanks Katie and Scott. 😘
Hello Katie and Scott, really nice video today. I love seeing all of the estate It must have been beautiful back in the day. And what a wonderful gift to receive the drone. Job well done Scott, on flying the drone. I love to seeing all the footage of the landscaping. It was so beautiful and the music with it was perfect and peaceful. Looking forward to your next video as always thank you.❤
Random comment... A couple of Summers ago I was helping a friend convert an old mansion house on his farm from a decayed implement shed into a usable space. It was abandoned years and years ago and had just become another farm building. It was built after the original big house was burned to the ground during the jacobite rebellion. While we were sorting the floor we came upon a cobbled section. It was made by placing 8" long beach stones on end. They had no idea it was there. He recons it was perhaps part of the house where they kept animals maybe. It was fascinating, there was also a door lintel about 4ft up from the floor which we still have no idea what it would have been used for. Found lots of wooden nails too.
What a shame that lovely old building is falling to pieces , bet it was magnificent in its day . I find it fascinating looking at all the artefacts inside from years gone by , you see a lot of houses like that in the Outer Hebrides. Big thanks to Leslie for gifting you the drone , spectacular footage Scott , not just a pretty face eh 😆For saying you never read instructions you did a great job. Scotland is one amazing place especially in the sunshine, think we were probably on Arran the week you shot that , we were very lucky with the weather , sunny all week ! 😊

Miss Leslie thank you for your generosity
It is always good to stop and appreciate what nature gives us, the beauty around us is sometimes taken for granted.❤
And now those views with the drone ❤❤❤. Just an amazing place!! So gorgeous.
Really hope someone can fix up that BEAUTIFUL house. For a few seconds, thought you were going to say you were tasked with that. ❤
Thank you so much to the lady whom donated the drone ! The scenery was just breathtaking felt quite emotional with all the beauty ❤ the house was lovely to see so sad these stunning buildings are left to decay in nature 😢

Love you both and love your generous patreon: What a wonderful gift this is- for us all!!!! So beautiful....Much love and bliss.
How much would you have to be worth just to walk away from that old house and just let it decay to a ruin? Such a shame and a complete waste.
All that kept repeatingin my mind was.....When we go down to the woods today, we're in for a Big surprise.......and then standing in front of our eye's This Beautiful Home.... Thank you.😊
