Any man that wants to be THE MAN felt this
I’m unsure if should comment on this, as it is quite a loaded theme, but I will anyway.
I’m a boy. Not a man. I haven’t experienced a lot of life’s struggles and I have not truly felt despair. Yet, despite my lack of knowledge from the library of life, i feel like there is some truth to this. I think the problem lies in the wrong ideology of the olden days, where a boy was not a man until he had worth to bring to society. Like Tsleeveless touched upon in his poem, that frame of mind still has some lingering powers over today’s society. Quite a lot actually. And that worries me about how many men have been taught to be strong, tough and unbreakable but not being taught how to cry. To prevent our emotions from accumulating over time killing ourselves both mentally and physically in the process. And no one is unbreakable until they have been broken and mended back together again at least a couple of times. Such is the way of life. At least to the knowledge of this 15 year old.
On a bit less serious note, thanks for the video, man! Very eye opening and interesting to say the least. Keep up the grind🐢
I’m a feminist in every way and I’m so glad men are finally speaking about their emotional struggles. No one is cancelling this boy, but the real issue is no one is putting him on a bigger platform. I appreciate that you took the time to highlight him and his voice. These are the real conversations we need to be having.
you are an exception. If this guy gets put on a bigger platform other feminists will take this as a personal attack and fight back against it. It happens every time

Even in this video, he said “I was about to get into something “ but laughed it off and dismissed it. It’s subtle but that just reinforces this video.
It took me a long long time abd lots of years of heartache to figure out that being hard and being "strong" is the easy part. As a man, being soft is the hardest thing we'll ever learn to do.

I made every excuse for your behavior to continue
Every apology was met with forgiveness
Until I couldn't forgive myself
I allowed you to hurt me, and mar my mental health
We made sense at some points
But then we started keeping score
Now we lay in our wreckage
Our disdain was the water filling the hull
And I've got a sinking feeling that you're not done hurting me
I am here to soothe my soul, to help me understand the human condition, to see the world from other eyes. Wow, thank you.

Here’s the interesting thing about women. We ask men to be vulnerable, to show emotion, to “ tell us how you feel”… and when you do, most women are completely turned off by male vulnerability. If the zombie apocalypse happens, we need you to be strong, protect us and “be a man”. It’s hypocritical. The same women will say “ we don’t need men”. It’s also sad. We have to stop pitting ourselves against each other and work together.
Anything can be helped with awareness
My brother, I love this poem but men’s mental health has a direct correlation to the systems, ideologies and expectations that MEN create from outdated gender roles!
The only time the public applauds men is when they want to be called a woman so what does that tell you
