Great video. Thank you. I have that same problem on my 2008 ford Expidition. Thought it would be an easy fix. After watching what you had to go through to fix it. Looks like a trip to my mechanic.
Hi, I need help. I have a 2013 dodge caravan and it gets louder as I accelerate. I put on new rotors. I took it to a mechanic and he said it was a stabilizer rod. If not a stabilizer rod, what could it be? I don't want to fix a problem if it doesn't need to be fixed. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I have a Honda frv 2007 auto car drives fine but when on motorway at high speed steering shakes and there’s a constant dubbing sound from front wheel. Had wheels balanced but still the same. Some saying it cold be transmission but I hope not 😅
I wouldn't recommend it. It depends how bad the bearing is stuck in the hub to if it is even possible without some sort of a press, I have done many in the past that without a press (and heat) you have zero chance of removal, but I have also done some that took very little pressure to get the bearing moving in the press. Best case scenario is if you are doing it at home and you can't get it out, bring it to a workshop and have them press out the old and install the new one 👌👍
Two months ago, I replaced the bearings in my LG Front loading washing machine and it was HELL getting the old bearings out. LOL! I wouldn't even try to do this job at home. Just my two cents. I tackle everything else EXCEPT this.
I have a 2018 Hyundai Kona. When I go over 45 miles per hour, I hear a rumbling noise which sounds like it is coming from the wheels. I had an alignment completed and the noise is still there. Driving at 45 mph, I don't hear the noise. What could be the problem?
Good day. I have a mitsubishi grandis 2004 manual 2wd benzine. Having a problem with the car.Whenever i went on a highway and as soon as it reaches 100km. I starts to hear a deep dull grrrr grrrrr grrrr kind of noice coming from the front of the car. Its kind of grinding. If i push throttle to go beyond 100km it disappears until i keep pushing it further but when ever i hold it steady at 100km or above it starts to do that.At speeds lower than 100km i do not here it.. grinding or that grrrrr grrrrr sound comes only when steady.. disengaging gear makes it disapear..Today i went to 120km and at once pushed the clutch padel and kept it pushed. Grinding dispeared. I ride mostly at 100km and its too much irritating having this grrrrrrrrrrrrgrrrrrr noice. Its loud but deep and dull.I can here it if i am at driving or passenger seat. The car do have 1 front brake rotter which is a bit crooked. Could it be that?Today was at a local workshop. The man said cv axles needs to replace but its a hit and trial..Can anyone advise what could it be. ?? Thanks
@@summersifysummers4702 I have a similar problem. My car starts to make a constant dubbing sound in high gear. Had a few hints it might be transmission but nobody’s actually tested it.
No because the tire’s balance is tested and performed when it is off your car, so the tire’s balance will still be the same. But you do need an alignment if you removed the entire knuckle. Otherwise, no alignment or balancing needed.
differential issue, im trying to figure out the same for my 03 suburban, makes a howling noise when i go over 20 mph but when i accelerate the noise goes away until i maintain the same speed (kinda like cruising) it starts to howl and vibrate

Hi Gerard, I appreciate for the video, HOWEVER, the $60,000 question is: “WHAT TYPE OF NOISE” associates with the repair (solution) shown in this video. My Nissan Sentra when starts moving it makes strong muffed and continuous noise. I wish your video started with sound of the noise that associates with the repair you presented.
Excellent description of the process as usual. Thanks Gerard.

Great to see the work done and the processes involved. Pity you aren’t back in Ireland or I’d be popping in for many’s the job!

It could, usually when it's the brake pads the sound gets much louder when you hit the brakes.
