My addiction to fishing in Stardew led me to Holocure and now I find it funny that fishing is funding my gacha addiction. I spend majority of the game fishing now and tending to my saplings in the holohouse lol
Yeah, fishing really has been lucrative for me. It sucks when your chain gets reset when you mess up, but the growth for each chain just keeps growing and growing. My personal high was 1019 and oh man, was there a lot of fish.
Right? All you have to do is run in circles pretty much, and with the fishing minigame, thing catch you off guard. Ill stick to grinding levels really. Sometimes i feel like i’m dropping inputs as well, screwing up my 15 streak lmao (most i managed was 32…)
I also have a good reaction time, but my cheap ass keyboard probably drops inputs or whatever (its just a regular membrane keyboard), either way its easier for me to just farm on the fields@@iaminsideyourwalls2021
Seen people farm with risu and reine as well. But fishing + farming + worker management will yield the most coin in the long run. Especially the workers passively farm coins for you and at higher level/rank the more coin you can get. And since its passive, you can just fish or play a game while its just passively doing its thing and just go back to collect and feed them occasionally.
Probably useless update but Sana is also a candidate for this greed build. And she is more flexible in terms of the third stamp as she can use Size Up, Haste Up or even Stun and Knockback stamps Another benefit is that she only needs about 80% or so Haste (without Haste Stamp or Skill buff) to achieve 100% atk up time. Another benefit is that she doesn't need to crit due to her atk hitting 3 times per cycle per direction. That's also why Sana only needs Speed Up and Haste Up in her stat upgrades In my opinion anyway
seeing the calm fishing vibe fbk has before it cuts to irys fighting for her life against yagoos left and right, and both yielding more or less the same money is so mind-boggling
worth mentioning is that a 35 min run usually takes around 45 min to complete if you spend a normal amount of time thinking about which upgrades to choose. if you enable dmg numbers your PC can also struggle and the game actually shows down - ingame time will be slower than actual time. 35 min can easily become an hour of real time
Worth mentioning that you can just not get the stamp. Just did 5 runs without getting the greed and solo stamp. The strat also kinda wants full 10 rerolls and 10 eliminate slot
"Oh man, Greedrys still going strong, I'm going to do a run just so I can afford a bunch of furniture!" -Me, before doing a 22 minute run where I never got greed skull. I only got 160k with Reine when I tried but damnit I'm going to try again, I hate having to rely on RNG.
For me its way easier to grind via combat. I tried fishing for like 8 hours straight and it was a chore with some pretty infuriating moments where catching lower quality fish was more difficult than the higher quality ones. The only upside to fishing is that you can also grow crops and manage workers while you do it. But this will naturally reduce the time you spend fishing.
you can just use a lower level rod at the start to stock up on lower quality fish and then switch to the gold rod later on ocne you feel you have enough. ofc you reset your combo but it doesn't take long to get it back up.
Amazing content once again. Didnt think that fishing could also be viable for farming gold. But getting to a high streak is definitely more challenging for me lol
I think I’ll stick to the IRyS, Risu, and Reine coin grind. I can barely chain 50 much less 250+ and playing the main game and learning new builds is more fun. Still, I’m glad Kay Yu and the Devs added these modes in HoloHouse because I feel it’s best to relax after the grind while still contributing. Also, don’t forget that fruit sandwich cooking buff to increase coin drops!
@@brokutt I think you have to unlock them by upgrade the rods/or plant wheat and strawberries. Not sure, but after messing around in the Holo House mode, I eventually got the recipe
since the bonus fish buff keeps stacking up, if we are comparing 60 mins, fishing wins. and gets exponentially farther ahead the longer you are willing to fish
If you think about it, that 36 minutes of Irys can be about 1 hour game play. On the otherhand, the 1.6m you did needs a pre requisite of golden rod and trained reaction time. For beginner for both skills, Irys method can be the get go. But for skilled, it is fishing cat.
Before: Every hits has 20% chance to drop 1 coin. After Every hits has 15% chance to drop 11 coin. Basically a massive buff, the current strategy is reaching 100 dmg per hit asap ( it's the cap for greed stamp ).
i feel like Risu(the nut lady) makes much more money than Irys.. havent tried Reine yet -- she might be good if u never get greed stamp EDIT: i havent played for long, so i might be wrong
@@arminelis8743 I've tried Risu several times and I feel like she's just way harder to live long with, due entirely to game performance and bouncing. The nuts bouncing all over the screen stacking on top of the mass amount of enemies and exp on the ground brings on the chug WAY quicker while also making it way harder to see. Plus I feel the bouncing can often end up hitting areas with no or less concentrated enemies, meaning a big drop in efficiency. Plus all that slowdown and vision problems make surviving way more difficult. I think she'd be better in perfect conditions, but Irys is just way too consistent and clean. Feels like "Risu best farmer if you're good" is like "Shulk is totally #1 people just haven't mastered him yet".
Keep in mind that while fishing you can get less gold, but spend that time harvesting and with the employees (who also give gold), which if you are with irys, the workers will get tired and there will be less crops. Ultimately, both are equally good
Pikipikipiman is better than paw, better scaling make u reach greed stamp threshold faster ( 100 dmg per hit ). Bomb Greed is mandatory, you keep Solo until u can do enough dmg without it then swap to stun or vampire ( both work fine depend on ur preferences ).

Here's what's also good about fishing If you can maintain your combo, your bonus just keeps going up If you repeat the greed strat with Iris, you'd have the same amount of coins you got the first time times two If you repeat the fishing strat without having broken the combo, so going from 250-500, you'd get more fish there than you did from 1-250, which is even more money I think I'd lose my mind if I fished for 1 hour though lol

I managed to get the super version of the super chat item and you legit become a god. I got it pretty early in my run and by the 20 minute mark I had 10,000 coin stacks. So Irys had +1,000% attack
I didn't think furnitures would be expensive af So before the update, I used all my coins on hologamers gacha and got FBK, Mio-sha, Okayu, and Ko'one to rank 100 😅😅😅 Now I'm here checking out meta lol
Getting the golden fishing rod is a tiny bit of a grind, meanwhile Irys strat can be viable pretty much from the start. So depending how much time you spent on fishing beforehand, Irys would be faster if you want the gold quick
the stipulation here that you need the golden rod, of course, and you also need to be relatively consistent/persistent with the fishing mini game. So I can see the fishing method being pretty difficult to get into (without farming for half a day prior just to get the Golden Rod) I think both are viable, preferably to stave off boredom or monotony. But also, going fishing would give you an opportunity to update your workers, or collect their income
you kinda need both the 10 reroll and 10 elimination out to maximize this, on top of rng-ing well and landed the greed and solo and the membership card. Just did 5 run as a newbie with 5 slot unlocked on each and didnt rng well, got 30k total out of 3 hours
I never knew blast stamp works with this, I assumed only direct hits worked so I was running attack speed + projectile + greed stamps all that time, also going that far lategame piki is insane holy fuck, free almost 2x dmg and you don't sacrifice crit chance
I would say if you are starting fresh, grinding by fishing might be better to start before you are able to get the upgrades to do IRyS gold farming optimally.
idk if it't just me, or the timer actually based on the fps. cause when I play it on potato PC, only got about 20-22 fps, the timer shows 30 minutes, but I have played for like more than 1 hours lmao
I'm new to the game and did some run with Irys and got 47k in stage 1 endless in 27 minutes (didn't reach 30 cuz of skill issue) with the max remove weapon, max business upgrade and ofc stamp. Got greed explosion and solo. Edit: I had like 5-6 lvls to gold upgrade I think
Fishing is lot better in the long run if you dont break the chain. Difficult stops increasing at a certain point but the bonus doesn't. So if you're good at rhythm games its the best coin farming. Even with the lowest rod youd get more coins than running Irys.
Fishing is a solide Money make method, while fighting needs some luck with the greed Stamp sometimes i get the stamp around 18 minutes, it's not really much money then as when you become it in the first minutes
One of these days, I wonder if there will be an isekai manga/novel titled "I get a lot of money by selling fishes I catch in another world, so I spend it all to collect virtual idols from gacha game into my party" just because the author was inspired by this method of getting coins through fishing
Let me see. IRyS farm thing: Need the upgrades, the coin upgrades, experience boost, lots of other things, RNG for Greed. Etc etc. There is an uncovered topic in this video which is using Risu or Reine as a coin farm which both don't rely heavily on RNG for Greed Stamp. Since Reine's gold gain is her ult while Risu's is mostly her skills. But let's focus on fishing for now, if we assume this man has max upgrades then that result of IRyS gold gain is the equivalent of having all the upgrades. Hence fishing should be a better viable method of gaining more coins. You could probably go all on fishing and just focus on upgrades in shop later. That's what I think anyways.
True~ But as I said, it can be done on an easier stage but with lesser results. Both methods have their pros and cons. Greed can take forever to drop or for fishing, you might break chain. Also for fishing, you still have to work your way to a gold rod so it does take some time too. I think it’s just a matter of preference in the end.
Risu without Greed would be underwhelming though, her money comes from DLC doing greed procs as well. The main weakness of Risu Build is that she can't handle YAGOO at all since YAGOO is immune to DEEZ damage
I'm not good at the fishing game and even so I only needed ~4 hours with Turkey Rod to afford the Golden Rod. So I'd take that as the prefered option now, especially since Greed Stamp dropping is so random.
Might be just me, but I usually go Projectile Up Stamp as my 3rd. I do change it later at around 35~ mins to either Pacifist Stamp or Life Steal Stamp.
My best combo has been about 70 or so once, I'm terrible at rhythm games. And I have the golden rod now, so that shows how much I've done with low combos.

I'm not good at fishing and I still got enough fish in ~4 hours to afford the Golden Rod. Granted, that's with the Turkey Rod, so getting those initial 250k can take a while on its own. But Golden Rod seems to have a more equal catch chance of all fish so you can feed your workers, while also providing the higher chance of rare catches. Definitely worth getting.
building up your way from 0 its an experience on itself, then using your freshly unlocked things to full power, on the other hand, irl work got too busy and i just edited the savedata for the coins and called it a day, still, not removing any sort of farming and even adding more posible farms, props to Kay Yu

i just cant do the fishing part, i swear the icon is perfectly within the lines but its still considered a miss at random times. sometimes i ofc mess up but then im at only a 20 streak and its like the icon doesnt match when im supposed to press the keys.
At the start of the game fishing is definetely better for money making, because you are kind of reliant on stat upgrades to make enough money with greed stamp in a stage. You die easyer and earlyer and you have less rerolls and bans to get the proper items. I've had runs where I don't get all clothe slots full and don't see the coin auto pickup until I am 15 minutes deep. I started yesterday and a greed Irys run gives me about 20k on average which is about 1k per minute. I have the atlantean rod (about 1-2h if fishing to get it from 0) and 1k is what I get with a single cast.
If u really bad at rythm game like me (50-60 chains is the best for me for now before starting to get distracted) and didn't really want to do lv. 3 hard, alternatively u can just do lv. 1 hard like me. It's a slow proccess, sure. But it less stressfull. I got 700-800k each run in endless. After you complete 100% achievements incl. gachikoi all members & already bought the furnitures all the money you've got is kinda 'useless'. At least for now lol

Why is bomb so good for greed runs? I didnt think the damage from that counted foe greed stamp. I always figured it was the actual weapon hit only.

Ive been getting around 500k a run on stage 1 normal with risu, she is super good for farming gold due to the number of instances her weapon has.
Getting the golden fishing rod is a tiny bit of a grind, meanwhile Irys strat can be viable pretty much from the start. So depending how much time you spent on fishing beforehand, Irys would be faster if you want the gold quick

I use the build Towa made when she was farming...she just kept increasing Irys's speed!!

So I did some calculating and it seems that Piki Piki Piman is better than the gloves for farming.
Obviously both can vary due to when you get Greed stamp and if you get shiny fish. But the results were pretty similar here
the stipulation here that you need the golden rod, of course, and you also need to be relatively consistent/persistent with the fishing mini game. So I can see the fishing method being pretty difficult to get into (without farming for half a day prior just to get the Golden Rod)
I think both are viable, preferably to stave off boredom or monotony. But also, going fishing would give you an opportunity to update your workers, or collect their income
you kinda need both the 10 reroll and 10 elimination out to maximize this, on top of rng-ing well and landed the greed and solo and the membership card. Just did 5 run as a newbie with 5 slot unlocked on each and didnt rng well, got 30k total out of 3 hours
I never knew blast stamp works with this, I assumed only direct hits worked so I was running attack speed + projectile + greed stamps all that time, also going that far lategame piki is insane holy fuck, free almost 2x dmg and you don't sacrifice crit chance

I had the game running in the bg while at work and just sold the fish that gets fished up, so I'm getting paid both in-game and IRL.
Playing to 35 minutes against yagoos is approximately 100 times easier than a fishing 260 chain for me...
i'm guessing using Irys over Risu is because Irys have a passive health regen, so you dont need healing item for survivability.
I know it's a survivor game, but I've only done two runs. Ended up unlocking all the characters and half the upgrades through holo house alone.
I would say if you are starting fresh, grinding by fishing might be better to start before you are able to get the upgrades to do IRyS gold farming optimally.

idk if it't just me, or the timer actually based on the fps. cause when I play it on potato PC, only got about 20-22 fps, the timer shows 30 minutes, but I have played for like more than 1 hours lmao

I'm new to the game and did some run with Irys and got 47k in stage 1 endless in 27 minutes (didn't reach 30 cuz of skill issue) with the max remove weapon, max business upgrade and ofc stamp. Got greed explosion and solo. Edit: I had like 5-6 lvls to gold upgrade I think

fishing is more difficult, but the old says more difficult = more coins :V
Fishing is lot better in the long run if you dont break the chain. Difficult stops increasing at a certain point but the bonus doesn't. So if you're good at rhythm games its the best coin farming. Even with the lowest rod youd get more coins than running Irys.
Fishing is better for longer period/chain. For 30 min mark, irys win, but for 1 hour or longer, assuming you don't break the chain, fishing win
Fishing is a solide Money make method, while fighting needs some luck with the greed Stamp
sometimes i get the stamp around 18 minutes, it's not really much money then as when you become it in the first minutes

IRyS farm thing: Need the upgrades, the coin upgrades, experience boost, lots of other things, RNG for Greed. Etc etc.
There is an uncovered topic in this video which is using Risu or Reine as a coin farm which both don't rely heavily on RNG for Greed Stamp. Since Reine's gold gain is her ult while Risu's is mostly her skills.
But let's focus on fishing for now, if we assume this man has max upgrades then that result of IRyS gold gain is the equivalent of having all the upgrades. Hence fishing should be a better viable method of gaining more coins. You could probably go all on fishing and just focus on upgrades in shop later. That's what I think anyways.
True~ But as I said, it can be done on an easier stage but with lesser results.
Both methods have their pros and cons. Greed can take forever to drop or for fishing, you might break chain. Also for fishing, you still have to work your way to a gold rod so it does take some time too. I think it’s just a matter of preference in the end.
Risu without Greed would be underwhelming though, her money comes from DLC doing greed procs as well.
The main weakness of Risu Build is that she can't handle YAGOO at all since YAGOO is immune to DEEZ damage
Risu needs the greed stamp 1000%.
Reine doesn't, but instead she needs super idol costume to be competitive, which is a hard ask
I'm not good at the fishing game and even so I only needed ~4 hours with Turkey Rod to afford the Golden Rod. So I'd take that as the prefered option now, especially since Greed Stamp dropping is so random.

I have the rhythm dexterity of a sloth with oven mitts, so fishing is out for me. I'll stick to playing the main game for coins.
I think fishing is more interesting because it is also a challenge. Im currently working towards 1k chain (500 pb atm).
Might be just me, but I usually go Projectile Up Stamp as my 3rd. I do change it later at around 35~ mins to either Pacifist Stamp or Life Steal Stamp.

My best combo has been about 70 or so once, I'm terrible at rhythm games. And I have the golden rod now, so that shows how much I've done with low combos.

I'm not good at fishing and I still got enough fish in ~4 hours to afford the Golden Rod. Granted, that's with the Turkey Rod, so getting those initial 250k can take a while on its own. But Golden Rod seems to have a more equal catch chance of all fish so you can feed your workers, while also providing the higher chance of rare catches. Definitely worth getting.
building up your way from 0 its an experience on itself, then using your freshly unlocked things to full power, on the other hand, irl work got too busy and i just edited the savedata for the coins and called it a day, still, not removing any sort of farming and even adding more posible farms, props to Kay Yu

Fishing is in Holo House. Holo House is unlocked by clearing stage 1.

My third stamp is usually pacifist cuz it lets u go past 37 minutes and thus farm more coins
Fubukui is me I spent a good 3 Hours just straight fishing loosing my combos as I got better rods
Weird. I'm running Irys on endless mode level 1 with this build and I am getting coins but not nearly this amount.
harder stages have a coin multiplier. also he ate food which further increased coins by 30%
i just cant do the fishing part, i swear the icon is perfectly within the lines but its still considered a miss at random times. sometimes i ofc mess up but then im at only a 20 streak and its like the icon doesnt match when im supposed to press the keys.
At the start of the game fishing is definetely better for money making, because you are kind of reliant on stat upgrades to make enough money with greed stamp in a stage.
You die easyer and earlyer and you have less rerolls and bans to get the proper items. I've had runs where I don't get all clothe slots full and don't see the coin auto pickup until I am 15 minutes deep.
I started yesterday and a greed Irys run gives me about 20k on average which is about 1k per minute.
I have the atlantean rod (about 1-2h if fishing to get it from 0) and 1k is what I get with a single cast.
I almost got 2mil with Irys, but stupid table on the bottom left said 'no'. Should've gone clokwise maybe
If u really bad at rythm game like me (50-60 chains is the best for me for now before starting to get distracted) and didn't really want to do lv. 3 hard, alternatively u can just do lv. 1 hard like me.
It's a slow proccess, sure. But it less stressfull. I got 700-800k each run in endless.
After you complete 100% achievements incl. gachikoi all members & already bought the furnitures all the money you've got is kinda 'useless'. At least for now lol
