Definitely bold to try this on the last stage, and with the mask. My notes for you: - Piki Piki doesn't effect skills - just weapons (Edit: character specific weapons) and specials. Apart from the health bonus I don't think it's doing much for you. - The lab coat doesn't help much if you're regularly taking hits. Shion does have a built in dodge, but it still probably isn't practical for this goal. Dropping Piki for Headphones or Body Pillow could help you survive and make more use of lab coat though. - Hope Soda is a long term pay off for a character with no built in critical rate or weapons/items to boost it (like Lamy items). If you drop soda for Gorilla's Paw your damage will be greater and more consistent for most of the run, and you'll have more specials to get out of danger. - Shion's portal moves garlic to your new location. There could be a high amount of skill and game knowledge to getting the timing and positioning down to teleport around with garlic, but I think Shion's wormhole could be key in making this and other wild run ideas work. New portal locations are spawned in alternating fashion by the way, so teleporting shortly before the new portal spawns could be a good baseline behavior. - I noticed you using bat stamp for recovery, so you seem to be fine using the weapon for utility. I'd suggest the Marking Stamp (the painter's palette) perhaps in place of the crowbar. I think you really might have won one of the runs shown if you did. It turns area damage skills into serious boss damage. And I have a question. You prioritized haste on level up last. I read garlic as being a skill without a fixed damage timer listed. Did you find that haste has no/poor effect on the skill?
You just singlehandedly made me want to retry the challenge, thank you for the advices! I'll look into it For your question, I honestly don't know, just assumed it'd be better to try to kill the enemies with as few hits as possible. But failed miserably
I'd personally use Halu for more enemies per wave which result in more exp -> more damage on Beetle and more attack damage from 8% attack levels. I'm usually over level 100 by the 20 minute mark so you are missing a ton of possible damage/exp on not taking it. (Could be hard with the Garlic challenge but worth mentioning). I usually reset if I don't see Halu + glasses in the first few levels/rerolls but that's just me pushing High Scores.
