Welcome in Dusan kitchen. Today we cook some capacitors. Yam,yam :) Good job. Your favorite song is "Don't stop me now" from Queen? :))) Every week new video. finger up :)
Hej amigo! Just for your info, these are not all capacitors, I can see from here that there are some MOV varistors in there (those with a white line across). They do not contain any precious metals in them. They are mostly Zinc Oxide and other metal oxides like cobalt, bismuth and manganese.
Just an FYI...those blue ones don't look to be capacitors. I'm pretty sure they are NTC thermistors. You'll often find them on the input side of power supplies. Not saying anything about content...just that they aren't capacitors. :)
Very intresting i was setting up to test these components for precious metals but you have done most that i was to try myself.so great video bud . I was wandering to basicly put all the components from circuit boards in a hammer mill and then disolve the lot and then try to to recover the metals . Whats your thoughts on this .would be interesting to find out what you get from what circuit boards from tv boards to computer boards . Basicly its going to cost more to do than recovery but an exact metal breakdown
Could there be palladium in those ones that didn't provide much silver? Just curious and no one has the videos like these that have the different color capacitors, so good job. :)
No palladium in these types capacitators in video. But some of diferent capacitators containe Pd for shure.I preeper a new video with others collors of capacitators and if conatine some Pd i vill show it in video.Thanx mate.
It's worth it to clip them all anyway if you're stripping old boards for recycling. If you're throwing other parts in an acid bath to get the gold, platinum and silver out why not get every drop you can?
I should really start saving and separating these types of capacitors (M&Ms). I usually leave them and they go with the rest of the boards to the scrapyard that takes my boards.
Awesome video! And you did not fail... I knew there was silver in those capacitors. I am wondering how many you have to collect of these to make it worth it?
Totally off the silver topic on this question but I was wondering on approximately how much gold is on the older hp boards. I have a lot of them and they seem to be fully gold plated front and back. I got about 10 pounds of this material? Just an estimate would be very helpful. Also great video. I was wondering for a long time the amount in those. :)

Great job and video thank you for sharing your test with us. I would like to know if it is possible to combine all those types together the brown, yellow and blue since it seems they use the same method and type of acid to process?
m Build a pyrolyzer. :-] Pyrolysis is commonly used to convert organic materials into a solid residue containing ash and carbon, small quantities of liquid and gases. Extreme pyrolysis, on the other hand, yields carbon as the residue and the process is called carbonization.
If i collect 5,000 of these (and i have that many) and mix them all together, will anyone buy the mixed bag of them? Or do i have to keep them all seperated by exact type of capacitors? Im not a silver or platinum/palladium kind of guy. I only go after the gold, its in my comfort zone.
Cooking may also help oxidize any tin and keep it from thieving the silver. I read this about gold recovery (goldrefiningforum.com) so Im not sure about silver
Do you think you could re-do this video and make it longer than this one. Your video could have been 4 minutes long not 22 minutes of painfully drawn out to make it long and difficult to sit thru.

Great video, Thanks Dusan🙏🏻. I saw it was from 6 years ago but it’s very good and informative as all your videos 😊
Thanks from Sweden
Nice work Dusan. I am enjoying your videos very much and learning a great deal. Thank you.
about 40g per kg the brown and the orange ones. @0:18 the small, thick, rectangular one may have some Pd
a DMG test would be nice
@@OwlTech333 what is a dmg test? Thanks
Dimethylglyoxime test for palladium
@@OwlTech333 Thank you
Second the DMG test please😀
Great video, greetings from Brazil !!! Congratulations
That was actually way more than I expected for those amounts of capacitors.
Great experiment dude
As long as u r havin fun mate and viewers r enjoying that’s the main thing 👍

You can tell if they are capacitors if the circuit board they're on has a letter C with numbers after it right close next to it.

the black ones some times are resistors , if not all the times
save save save never throw away you are doing a great service remember this is only a hobby unless you do it big scale

Almost... Those are Varistors. Nice Vid.
Good job on that fume hood too 🛠
Great job Dusan !!!

Good morning, my friend, you could give me a tip when the gold disappears in the souao, what can I do to rescue this lost gold?thanks

You sound like thd Russian Hacker guy! Great videos mate
Thankyou mate, great vid again 👍
Jako interesantan video. No trebalo bi imati mnogo mnogo toga, da bi se isplatilo. Dobro je to znati i raditi nešto drugo. Hvala ti.
Very nice Video, thanks for this!
Bitte warten.....,Waage kommt aus Deutschland.
Is there a way to disolve Silver without Nitric Acid?
HCl with peroxide will do it
NC, thank‘s!
Awesome video! And you did not fail... I knew there was silver in those capacitors. I am wondering how many you have to collect of these to make it worth it?
Remember silver is $14.02USD currently.... wait till it hits $44.00 an oz. again, then you will melting these capacitors I bet.... :)

In your best estimate, how much silver could I expect out of 4510 ceramic capacitors?
Valuable information. Not a waste of your time.
Obrigado por ensinar, a gente a purificação deste material, Brazil 👍🇧🇷

Nice videos sir and after burning it did you filtering and copper remove what after the burn

Hi, i want to ask something; is there no palladium in these blue and yellow capasitors?
How long will it be, if the filter's bad salt is applied, that is, it will start seeing 1 kg
Great video! Thank you.
Can u put all the different ones together and run them all together and separate metals like normal ?
m

could you ball mill them then acid

Almost all of them contains Palladium sir plz go for DMg test
Did you dissolve that melted tin you got from the brown capacitors or did you take it out?
Yo those brown ones i thought was old MLCsc ? They look similar. How do you tell the difference if there not the same
Thanks friend
You can extract pd from silver wast solution
Hello sir please tell me how much silver in 1kg round capacitors
Bro plZ tell me 1 kg blue capacitor how mach recovery silver
Good job with this video
is there a lot of black smoke . and bad smell.
Cooking may also help oxidize any tin and keep it from thieving the silver. I read this about gold recovery (goldrefiningforum.com) so Im not sure about silver
Dusan, would it be worth just processing them all together?
awesome video bro thanks for doin science fun
did you test for other metals .
good vid dude anyway will be good to have few kilos just somewhere in the corner waiting for a good silver price all of them are very common
Hope you pile up those metals, I think you might get a surprise one day in your silver, unpure because palladium and platinum, would be nice hehe.
"You will not make any money from this capacitor."
At silver's current spot price...yes.
Might be worth while to toss them in a bucket. If the silver market is ever allowed to run the cost could justify processing them.
Appreciate it
Bardzo ciekawie pokazujesz procesy odzysku metali masz u mnie laik
What is chemical and acid name
Hi, thanks for this video
Very nice
Do they also have palladium blue capacitors?
Thank you
Обзор супер! Хотелось бы ещё и на русском дубляж для того чтобы разобраться в мелочах! Я думаю в России многим будет интересно посмотреть!
