What about 3 Players? You get Toad to jump off Bowser then stack it with the boost pad. Get a very good angle like 2:35 and use the leftover speed to jump off Donkey Kong to hopefully get a giant bounce to hop onto the top of the castle. It might need to be TAS'd however.
If bouncing off a heavyweight and a boost panel stack, then what about bouncing off multiple heavyweights? Either leap frog style or hitting two side-by-side heavyweights simultaneously.
If the bounce off Bowser stacks with the bounce from the acceleration ramp, what happens if you stick a third (and fourth) heavy character down on the ground after the ramp even closer to the castle and bounce off them while you're still airborne from the ramp?

I really like this short video with the simple production quality, straight to the point, and even showing that it was not a success but making the community a part of the solution by reaching out to them at the end of the video. Feels very human and not over-produced.
My question is if the castle itself is an #infinitewall. If it is, there's no getting up there. That said, I don't know. Good luck in finding out though.
I used a cheat code from a GameShark once that allowed no clipping and driving up hills. If you were to make it on top of that castle, then you'll just fall through it. It was pretty disappointing tbh. XD
This video left me with emotions I've rarely had on TH-cam. I'm sitting here shocked that the video just didn't answer it's question at all and turned out to be a big fat nothing burger. Now I'm frustrated that I'll never know what happens if you get on top of the castle. It's such a good troll job that it has unintentional comedic value. Great work dude!

Hey at least you tried. I love messing around with games like you did here. I remember in the game Jet moto 2 you could jump half the track on the roller coaster level if you did it correctly.
Great effort I say and an interesting challenge to set yourself. You had some great ideas on how you could make the jump to the roof, and you were close to achieving it too. Not sure if this helps. But me and my friends used to play tag around the castle in our carts. If you use the big jump off of the ramp and go to the right you can get quite high the top of the grass bank. If you fail you'll normally drop in the water but sometimes you can stay on there. If you hold break your player should stay put on the hill instead of sliding down. Perhaps get one player to sit there and the other one to boost jump off of them? Not sure if its too far away, but at least you can start quite high up or maybe even give you some other ideas? Let me know how it goes.

I mean people have already attempted the secret at the previous track right before this at sherbert land to try to get to that little aisle with the giant penguin on it and I have seen a video where somebody succeeded in doing so, but the top of peach's castle would be quite an accomplishment.
This was a really cool and fun concept. You came closer than anyone ever has... through traditional means that is. I suppose if you did a bit of hacking and removed the wall on the right or took away a hit box you probably could pull it off or come closer. But hey! That's just a theory. A hacking theory! Bounce off bowser onto the end of the ramp as you tried, and then place a third player where you land by the path up to the castle. Maybe you'd do another huge bounce off of them and that could get you up onto the castle?
Well I tried another method but... couldn't get it. It was the closest one I've done and I uploaded it if you're interested. Maybe you can get it but I tried a lot of different angles and jump timing... one day we will get there
That portion isn't even rendered anyways to save on polygons since the N64 is very limited and this is just a set piece for the course. I like that this reminds me of the kind of dumb stuff we'd spend hours trying to do as kids though.
You can get massive air using a star colliding with a heavyweight that also has a star off the ramp, or something similar I don’t recall the exact setup. Weatherton probably has some footage on his channel. You can definitely get up there just to be disappointed when you realize there’s no hit detection on the ceiling and fall through
Maybe if you're tiny you can fly further? Probably doesn't help though. Or Bowser could throw a shell at you but idk how he'd hit you way up in the air.
I'm not sure if having the heavy player drive into the light player would do anything if the heavy is driving slower than the light character. I remember seeing crazy things done on tas speedruns to skip portions of the track; notably banshee boardwalk.
