Did you get a chance to use the metro system in Bangkok? They have an elevated and underground trains or a combination of both to get around the city, so you don't hit the traffic as you've described.
Hi! Yes, we forgot to mention it at the end - it's great but at least for us in terms of TIME it was not much faster for most places as we usually needed to get multiple lines. But yes, it was a very good system nonetheless :)
@@HobartsAbroad My two cents.. When you started off your "first impression" with a violent scene, it showed your negative mindset about that country or region. That your expectations of Bangkok to be "extremely chaotic and dirty" could set you off on the wrong foot. However, I like your editing work when it comes to nature and towns of your preference. On the other hand, when it comes to Bangkok as the video footage is very superficial and short without providing high-minded details. For example, you didn't even bother to go up to Wat Saket (Golden Mountain) although that's what the Golden Mountain is all about. Basically you just skimmed through what you described as a big "organized chaos" Your feedback is generally honest which is great. But if you can't liberate your mind, the quality content of your video would be like nothing but another thumbnail video among million others. I personally think you have a great potential. Good luck!
As a Thai, I recommend you to avoid using taxi and tuk tuk, try to use public transportation as much as possible, or using grab (UBER of south east asia)
I am Thai...!! 200 THB Possible because now gas so expensive he need "Income" but not much. *Thank you for help Tuk Tuk driver if you clearly to pay ..No scam 😊 .
My wife and I will be in Bangkok in a month. We're not shoppers, or temple people, or partiers, and we can't really even eat the food due to food allergies. We're really not city people. We're just small town mountain people. Any suggestions of things to do for people like us who will certainly be fish out of water in Bangkok?
If you don't like a city vibe too much and need to be in Bangkok, I'd recommend you look for a place in Bangkok Old Town, not on Khaosan Road though as it's geared toward backpackers.
My advice to you, you should fly directly to chiangmai. There's many things you can do, Pai, maehongson small town all around chiangmai would suit your travels plans
We Thailand people only presented our natures, beaches, forest, Temples, Buddha and Elephants my frineds and we never presented Bangkok city or any skyscrapers, even our own movie such as Ong-Bak by Tony Ja tge movie still presented the poverty scenes that even Thai people couldn't even Imagined, Why?? Because people love it that way my friend they love to see the struggled life or the life that they never seen before and of course it's not fun for them to see people from here living in the concrete jungle with no space left because it's already full with countless skyscrapers and it's just worked like that my friends and it's because we Thai rich and poor could lived together with peace that's why most foreigners who never come to Thailand would guessed that it's just another asian country that still undeveloped so it has to be dirty and it's not weird if you guys just thought like that and it has to have a lot of poverty scenes and vibes, yes, people love to think that way. I have my own experience too when I had to studied abroad in New Zealand when I was a teenager and it's really hard for me to find the people that known Bangkok or Thailand and all the people that I know who heard about Thailand before they all thought that all the Thai people have to have elephants as the transportation at their little house in the jungle and they even asked me how many elephants I owned. Lol Even nowadays I already lived in Bangkok and have a lot of foreigner friends from the west and from the states and all of them told me they never known before that Bangkok is a very big city like this and they all just came here for the beaches and nature and to see the elephant and temples and many of them didn't even planned to come here they just wanted to explore southeast asian countries. But now all of them already moved to lived here in Bangkok. Lol You're very welcome guys💕💕🙏🙏
Thailand, the economic system has stopped since 2014 to the present. The total period of almost 9 years that Thailand stopped due to corruption problems. More budget 2 trillion is not fully used. Car tunnels that spend more than 40 billion were smashed and rebuilt. And there are still many things that pay the budget in vain. But after this May election Choosing a new prime minister I am confident that Thailand will develop leaps. I hope to be like that
I am Thai I will tell every foreign tourist. Please do not give money to beggars. Because the beggar is a foreigner. who escaped to the city and can speak Thai clearly The Immigration Police are looking to arrest them.

Not surprised you guys find the traffic confusing if you get into a tuk-tuk outside the Grand Palace in order to go to Wat Arun.

@@topgammar3763 Our hotel is in Sukhumvit. We're open to traveling reasonable lengths from there in a day to find something to do, though.

Sukhumvit is a good and convenient location to get around Bangkok.
