    This video is fantastic! I bought a house with a theatre set up but the equipment was old, so I've been replacing everything. This really helped me figure out so much in reference to the AVR, Speaker placements, automation and leveling the projector! I didn't even think of this step! And I love the back lighting! Thank you!

    Is this HT install all running on the same 15 or 20 amp circuit or did you need to add an additional circuit to carry the entire load?

    • @Dreamediaav
      @Dreamediaav  ปีที่แล้ว

      The rack has a separate 20 amp breaker and the room has a 20 amp. The single 20 could support this setup but if they want to use a vacuum or anything that draws considerable power could trip the breaker. It’s better to be safe and not worry about it.

    Hi Zack. Brilliant video, what an amazing transformation you and your team did in this theatre room. I live in Perth Western Australia, our homes outer and inside walls are clay brick. I would add 10 inches to the length and width of a theatre room when building, so stud walls can be fitted inside for easier fit outs. I wish I knew what I know now 25 years ago when I built, which I had a dedicated theatre room, 6.5 x 4.5 metres and 2.584 high ceiling, also, I would have deleted the sliding door going outside, I am closing it in with a stud wall, sound proofed. I’m adding 4 Atmos ceiling speakers, so I bought the, Onkyo TX-RZ70 receiver and upgrading the 105 inch screen to a 3 meter wide screen, 118 inches wide.
    Thank you for your great videos you post. Take care. Gary 😊

    I love the room! It looks great! It looks like it’s just a spare room of the house.
    I would’ve put $ into sound proofing to try to keep the sound from escaping the room and annoying everyone in the house, especially with the bass.
    Only having 1 subwoofer breaks my heart to see. 2 is the bare minimum IMO. They could have easily gotten 4 in there. 4 PB 1000s pros would’ve been nice if they didn’t wanna spend as much for 4 PB2000 pros.
    I wouldn’ve moved the left and right speakers down slightly to at least attempt to keep the LCR tweeters at the same height. Missed opportunity for not going with an acoustically transparent screen. I would’ve def gone with high efficiency speakers but that’s just me.
    Overall I really like room

    The projector is mounted with only 2 bolts, the others are really not needed😂
    You had access to the ceiling joists, why not sister the projector joist, so the other extra bolts can be utilized, as they are meant to be.
    No led ceiling lights, why?

    Are there any Reasons why so much Installers never heard of Array Solutions and Bafflewalls for the best Bass Response in Small Rooms (outside of my country) ?
    I know its different when youre a Dealer and need to cooperate with certain brands to stay relevant at the Market (and cant build DIY Subwofer Cabinets). But here in my country the realy good / high end Homecinema Companys and also private people / guys who live the homecinema hobby, they build Cinemas wich are 2-3 Levels above for example this one.
    Double Bass Array including certain Chassis for the Subbass and Kickbass, massive Acoustic Treatment in form of bafflewalls etc.
    This are massive differences when you compare this with an sad looking SVS Sub in the Corner. Is the Time Limit for this build so limited so you cant plan and specific Bass Concept or does the customers dont want it ?... i'm just curious why people leave out such an big step in the overall sound quality & performance

    Epson 12000? I always think it’s funny when people spend more on seating than on the actual Theater projector! 133” on this projector is not anywhere near HDR, nor the optical quality to make 4K really stand out. Why??

    I have a question. Ok does a person still get an ATMOS Sound even when the TV Series or Movie doesn’t have an ATMOS Track???? TV Series such as say The Dukes Of Hazzard, Miami Vice, Airwolf, Knight Rider, Street Hawk, Buck Rogers, MacGyver, and or The Incredible Hulk???? And or Cartoons from the 1990’s like The X-Men, and Spider-Man. And the 2000’s Cartoon like say Star Wars : Rebels????

    • @Masterslessons
      @Masterslessons ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes. There is up mixing, and even one softer sounds to expand the sound field. I would say try to find 5.1 content of your favorite and you can enjoy the sounds from more locations. Expanding. Atmos content is dynamic and will be very much more punchy and intelligent sound locations. You benefit in building around it.

      Yea, this company never disappoints.
      I have yet to see a build that I like. They do basic installation all the time. Look at this build. One sub? Like really one sub?? I dont give a damn what excuse they will say the customer had. They spent all that money hiring them and doing this build and not to mention nice tech for the theater and they couldn't afford to buy another sub? They could have went to a pawn shop and bought anything!. Anything! This is crazy. No build like this should have only one sub. Minimum is TWO!! IF NOT MORE!. and then that opening in the rear?😢😢. So the home owner couldn't have a builder seal that off with sheet rock and add a door to make it a legit dedicated space for something like this.😢 God sometimes I don't know what ppl are smoking.

    I have not watched the video. But why would you go to all this effort and not at least make 4 height channels? I’d spend a little more for a 5.1.6 if you are at it.

    • @nonyabusiness6084
      @nonyabusiness6084 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      If you hadn't even watched it then why ask the question? He answers that question right at the start of the video. And you would go with a 7.1.4 at the least. The 2 side surround channels are more important than 2 more height channels.

    All that expensive high end equipment and they went with those small as heck front speakers?! Also that couch and having no door just makes that theater sucks. So much light can come thru as well as sound coming in and going out. They seriously dropped the ball with this theater room. I have the exact same size theater room with 2 rows of recliners.

  • @Arun43647

    Powering those 'Focals' with just an AV receiver is both a waste of money and those expensive speakers potential! Instead, you could have gone for some less expensive speakers, a preprocessor, and a power amplifier, which no doubt would have sounded more articulated.

    The gold standard is now 9.4.6. The 4 subwoofers can be cut back but the 9 and the 6 should not be. There should be 2 wide speakers and 6 overhead speakers. It’s one thing designing a living room for surround sound when the room is used for other purposes. But a purpose built theater in 2024 MUST HAVE 9 bed speakers and 6 overheads. Otherwise, please: don’t bother.

    • @Dreamediaav
      @Dreamediaav  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Your perspective on the gold standard for audio setups in home theaters is quite clear! A well-designed system with 9 bed channels and 6 overhead speakers certainly enhances the immersive experience.
