Awesome video! Thank you for the support and for the review of our product. There is some debate with how to grease the LCA poly bushings. Some say to not grease the outer surface of the bushing, but we did test this topic and found that greasing the outer surface of the bushing helps keep the squeaking down. We hope this information helps with anyone dealing with squeaking bushings.
I typical grease the outer but like you said there is a lot of debate. I decided not to this time and wish I did lol. I may pull them and redo since I plan on doing another alignment. I might be ordering a set of your uppers so I have a matching set!!
I put these arms on in December for the same reason you had. My alignment guy really liked the design and was quite happy with the caster he could achieve. I had to cut my bumper as well. Small price to pay. I don’t remember if I greased the outside of the bushings however… 😕 I guess I’ll find out one day.
Nice video and thanks for mentioning your experience with the caster. Did you have any trouble getting the cotter pin in the ball joint with this arm? Also, any trouble with the lack of steering stops?
Did you notice how it brought the front end down a solid inch or more? Did you have an issues with your coilovers needing to be preloaded too much in ordee to achieve the same ride height? This has been a major issue for me. I stopped by King and talked with Tony and he helped me realize that becuase the coilover is essentially too short now, I have to basically get custom length coilovers to have a proper ride height/ clearance as well as a comfortable ride. The ride quality is horrible now with the preload needed to level the truck after installing these lowers.
I did have to adjust my Fox coilovers. Personally I think Fox is better than Kings out of the box. I didnt notice any ride difference after adjust it back up.
@@RickG13 no clue. my front is adjust for the rake I wanted. the rear is what sets the front height. My front Fox are also DSC so I can adjust the ride firmness as needed. Eventually, Ill have the front Fox tuned and rebuilt for my setup but so far its been performing well
haha good question. I just checked and you can barely feel some cupping. Non of my rigs are daily driven so my tires will age out before they wear out unfortunately
How are they holding up? Have you put them through some harsh testing? I tried to run poly in the stock LCA’s before and the sleeves widened out the poly and it didn’t last. The stock ones have those metal built in washers that stabilized against the frame when they try to move around.
I like, been wanting to order these since they came out. So it’s worth the 1000 bucks eh ?? I might as well do my LBJ at the same time. Also why not just rock 7 degrees and cut and modify the bumper?
they are worth it if you plan or are running your stock arms with +4 or more caster (greater than spec). While the stock arms even with upgraded poly bushings can be set to +4-5.5 caster. They put the bushings at a much greater angle which in turn will wear them out faster. I really dont want to trim my bumper but I also havent fork lift flexed it to see how much. If its just a little I may but I dont really need +7 caster.
@@Wonger559 l agree I have access to an alignment rack at work, I was in the process of putting them on and I said screw this I'm sticking to the stock cams lol. Glad I did.
@@noahmerrill97 mass produced vehicles with fixed alignment…. I have yet to see anyone post their alignment with the fixed cams. I need to be able to fine tune my alignment. They are better off tacking the factory cam if they want fixed cams imo.

Ah too bad u will never get to experience rust seized cam bolts like we do in the North😅. I would recommend to anyone in the N to take their cam bolts to a coating place and get them KG Gunkote or CeraKote. And bathe them in anti seize. And I luv my Solo LCA btw.

Wow. Thank you for the kind words.
What coilovers/shocks do you have?
Fox 2.5 DSC and 700 springs

yeah, I'm still debating if I want to cut or back off the caster.
have you had any weird issues with the bushings not having washers on the end of them? are the squeaking badly? any premature wear?
@@gregmckarus141 they do squeak but doesn’t bother me. Do wish there was washers. I haven’t had any issues. Just came back from a 3700 mile road trip.

cotter pin was tricky but it went in with no problem. I don't go lock to lock even before this setup.

Any problems with your tie rod being at full extension?
You need alignment octagons
Why? My alignment doesn’t get knocked out of adjustment. I have a good alignment tech who actually tightens the cams correct lol
