This dude is absolutely hilarious, I wasn’t sure if he was just a complete sociopath or just a comedy genius when I first found him but either way, I get a good laugh from this
"They like to call me "baby", and they're always asking me if I'm looking for any fun. The sense of community around here is absolutely refreshing." - I died!
Dude forgot to say on last video but the “open doors, pretending to search the back seat to piss trick” has revolutionized my truck life. Currently doing the live in truck life about half the time while On the road for work.
Buy a house intelligently, do your research, learn some general carpentry / plumbing or bring someone along who knows these things and you should be able to get a general estimate of maintenance within a reasonable amount of time. Like most things, if you don't do your research, the possibility of being fucked is a lot higher.
Garrett The best way to buy a house is to not. Save the money and build a business. Having an apartment is a great write off and you don’t have to worry about maintenance.
In case you weren't being sarcastic... Beyond meat is not good for you, they are loaded with highly processed vegetable oils and a bunch of salt / MSG. You could make black bean burgers - so much healthier and you can mash everything up in a tupperware and have multiple meals. Subscribed, Cheers!
Bro I sleep in my truck too.. get a solar cell and some charging batteries, and a cheap generator. All together maybe 550 bucks.. use that and get a inverter too, install a fan somewhere you'll be hella glad for that fan, also with that inverter and batteries you'll have enough juice for a full day of tv watching, the generator for fast quick charging the batteries. You gatta be resourceful!
The sarcasm. The deadpan humor. Jokes about truck stop prostitutes to government tyranny with the 1984 reference all in one video that just meshes so well together. This guy is awesome! Stay safe and keep stacking that 💰
Thank you for sharing HFF, the entertainment is priceless, especially in these times. I enjoy and always look forward to seeing another video of yours.
“Who controls the past controls the future” 1984 is a great book mates. Listen to the genius that is the homeless firefighter and don’t become a pinko.
I'm homeless and living in my car as well. I thought about making my own videos as well to help other like you have done. I appreciate you making these videos, its actually what inspired me to get the same stove. There great, and I'm currently saving money and all. I would like to get the chance to talk with you because i have a few questions. Also, the fans i have run on a portable charger, i thought it could save more money instead pf batterys i was thinking about getting the constitution fans that you attach a battery to, is that what you have ?
You need an "Endless Breeze" by Fantastic Vent, it's a small box fan that works on 12v - I have one for my truck camper and it blows an amazing amount of air. They're not cheap, but work 100 times better than that stupid o2cool fan - I used to have that same piece of junk. I've had to stay overnight near Redding when it was 110+ during the day and that fan made it possible to sleep at night.
My fav part of camper shell life lately has been the 20 degree nights in Colorado. Waking up having to pee but not wanting to crawl all the way out onto the tailgate. Using the secondary cup as a chamber pot and throwing it out the vent window. Good times.
Great vid! I’ve lived in my doublecab prerunner part time for 8 years. Being over 6’ tall, I couldn’t do the camper thing anymore so I traded in the Tacoma for the ideal stealth, 4x4 camper vehicle. Endure the earbeatings and beratings you’ll receive from coworkers and get yourself an AWD sienna minivan. Now I can stealth camp in luxury while being able to go more places than the average 2wd minivan. The stealth factor is top notch, crawling in and out of a camper shell isn’t. Room to stretch. Roof rack for my surfboards and kayaks, soon to install a tow receiver for my bike rack and a journey off road 3.5” lift kit. I did loose some vehicle clearance and I’m sure a few dates along the way but I snatched up one of those cool girls so thats covered. Safe travels to you and take care!
A little tip on "beyond meat" products. Don't eat them. They may theoretically be healthy for you in one way like getting clean proteins, but the chemicals mixed into the meat to give it the "plant-based" properties can be compared to eating processed meat. Youre better off just eating regular meat.
Yoooo mr firefighter if you press the cutting edge of your blade straight down into the 'Cado all you gotta do is turn your blade to the left or the right (imagine breaking a bolt with a socket) and the seed pops right out. Stabbing into it is brutal, too many stabs through the hands. Revolutionary I know
I bought a hot dog spear sticker for my truck camper build...your honest evaluations of how terrible the life is did not dissuade me. My wife is not thrilled.
Tip to beat the heat. You already have a battery fan. Get a five gallon bucket and fill it with ice. Make appropriate sized hole for the fan to draw out air. And also some holes to allow air to go down into the ice. Not the best way to cool air off, but any port in a storm.
You have a little window from your cab to the rear of the truck. If you get Rain guard for the driver and passenger windows, you can get a small fan to place in that pass through window, CRACK the to front windows and have some ventilation.
You have a great channel. My Dad's name was Sam and he was a firefighter for 31 years. My son lives in Orange county and hasn't left his apartment for months.
I slept in the back of my 85 Dodge Ram 50 (really small truck) with a blacked out snugtop, for 1.5 yrs in 90/91, in Los Angeles. I was 18/19 yrs old. It was hot AF but dry. Dehydration was an issue. Best solution for the heat was obviously ventilation, keeping the sliders open a bit. The key to my success was finding spots with a consistent breeze.. which turned out to be tall parking lots with roofless top floors. Rotating through these 5 story and up monsters probably kept me alive honestly. Heat stroke is a bitch.
Even though i love your 'Homeless' videos, i will be glad when you're not homeless any longer. Summers in any vehicle is grueling as hell! Your humor is always a smash hit! Blessings and Love from CO.
Check out the BLAUX $89 portable a/c that you can order online. It's battery operated, just add water and supposedly cools down a good amount of space.
It takes a sense of humor to thrive and not just to survive . Keep on making these videos ! I too sleep in my car sometimes when I travel. Perhaps a AirBnB now and then ?
I tried living in my truck as a travel nurse for one month in the summer just the way you do it. My hat off to you sir I couldn’t do it any longer I needed running water and AC, I would wake up drenched in sweat ready to go to work! 🤮
You can get a cigarette lighter inverter and get a small box cooler to take the heat out of the shell. Also, there's a USB type fan you can get at Walmart as well.
Watching this brings me back to last year when I did the EXACT things you did when living in my camper. I had a cheap setup and was in Yuma AZ where it’s hot as a MF. I would be drenched in sweat, boxers on, both side windows open and I’d kick open the back for air... I cooked on my Coleman grill in the mornings and nights.. I did that for about 7 months total and decided it wasn’t for me... lol I’m glad I tried it!! I’m impressed he’s still doing this, it’s a little easier I imagine with rivers and nature around you then desert.. I also stayed in strictly planet fitness parking lots so it was a little less fun.
They have some new products with lithium ion batteries built in... On a full charge, it will run 1 or 2 fans all night... It's called a Jackery. It has all kinds of electric jacks in it- to suit whatever you want to plug into it. It's expensive, but it seems that whoever has one loves it.
He’s moving into an apartment soon so he probably wouldn’t want to waste the money. He’s been doing this for over 2 years, I’m sure if he couldn’t handle the heat he would’ve already upgraded his fan game.
Any problems with mosquitos? I’d also recommend a Jesir rechargeable mini fan. I sleep in my truck camper when camping and it helps a lot. Might also think about investing in a cooler a/c. Runs on ice and is cheaper than installing an actual a/c unit to the top of your shell.

Hahaha, this comment is going places.
Did he cook by his gas tank??
I am rather shocked that a firefighter would be cooking next to the fuel door of his "home."
nothing dry about those undies
Ratty McCatty agree considering it’s the vapors that makes a fire jump or ignite.
