- I do not encourage anyone to enter culverts, unclog anything, or enter flooded areas as it can easily become deadly without the proper training
I unclog drains for fun in my spare time (I have been trained in culvert inspections for years with private co.) and I am osha trained.
Exploring anything abandoned can be dangerous or deadly without experience. I don't encourage anyone to enter any abandoned structures. Not only is safety a concern, but often times its illegal, and when possible I seek out permission from the owner or local police. I simply go to document its history before it's gone forever and I leave things the way I find them. I only take pictures and only leave footprints. I assume all the risks and responsibility before doing this. Please don't attempt to do this on your own. There could be nails, asbestos, falling concrete, soft floors, animals, or other hazards. I started watching the channel 2 days ago tops and started off with 3 year old videos. The Lake one where they had to redo a Culvert because of the sinkhole slowly happening was so far the most impressive one i come across :)

I think the only running water we have right now are the bigger rivers, the Cedar, Des Moines, and upper Iowa. And of course most of our houses whose pipes haven't frozen (like ours did in the last polar vortex), lol.

I've noticed you have a good eye for composition in your still photography. When you took the trip this year many of the extended videos had really beautiful stills mixed in. This video the ending had some ripple effect shots on the waters surface. I guess you tossed a rock for the picture. The lighting and the angle framed made it very appealing. 👍

Man I love what you do I find myself with such anticipation just to watch a clog get broke free but it’s exciting for an old guy. I have two suggestions for your program number one you need a little guy, trailer, small kitchen, and a queen size bed pull that behind your truck and you’ll live a lot longer, my second suggestion for some reason when I watch your show, I think you need a dog, some kind of water dog with all your cameras. He would be a great asset to the show. Keep up the good work.
Do you check to make sure this won't flood someone's property as soil is frozen and can't saturate ? Just for this type of winter stuff ?

Be careful, while on the ice! Childhood Story: When I was a kid, a friend & I were playing on ice that had formed in a weedy area. My friend fell, and got a fibrous weed jammed into his leg. The weed fragments took weeks to remove from the wound!
