It's been a while for me too so I might be recalling wrong:
1) Start running and keep it held down,
2) press attack,
3) press block once you've travelled the distance.
Repeat steps 2 and 3

Sucks they took this game off EA Play. Such a fun game..

I still annoyed by that patch on Steam somewhere in mid '20 or '21 that made the game suddenly run terribly every time I opened it afterwards. Should probably look into rolling back patches I guess.
