I really hope the teacher got his teaching license back. Even if he never went back to the same school district, I hope all those parent and the administration know that he didn’t drink on the job. The stigma he would have received was not deserved. And I hope they learned the truth and apologize. I know they had legitimate reasons to be concerned and to fire him at the time because they didn’t know, but in the end he doesn’t deserve to be scrutinize by the community as the town drunk that worked around children. I also feel bad for the truck driver. There also the argument that he shouldn’t have been driving if he felt off. But he might of been so use to it that he had no clue. I don’t think he should get a DUI over it. Yes he was technically driving under the influence of alcohol. But I feel like a DUI is for those that drive under the influence and have made the conscious decision to drink and physically formed the act. He had a medical condition he was aware of and didn’t intentional or physically drink. He was not an alcoholic trying to drive against his better judgement. You wouldn’t charge someone who had a stroke and caused an accident with a DUI or someone who suddenly had an heart attack or anyone else who has fainted due to a MEDICAL condition with a DUI. This medical condition just so happens to causes an unknown spike in blood alcohol levels which impairs driving. But the condition is hardly known. And think to yourself, if you didn’t drink a sip of alcohol, would you ever in a million years think to yourself that you might be drunk? Even if you recognized the feeling of being drunk, would your first conclusion be that you are drunk? Perhaps more likely you would think something else was wrong with you or, considering your judgement is unknowingly impaired, doubt yourself and shove off the feeling that something is wrong. Driving drunk is bad, a frown upon anyone that does it and they should defiantly be punished. But this, I can’t blame someone for this. It would be highly unfortunate if he had hurt other when this happened. But that added stigma that it was a DUI he had no clue or intention of committing would be awful. Again, it would still be a tragedy if anyone is hurt or killed from a collision, but there’s this added blame if the person was DUI for the victims families Vs if the driver who caused the collision had fainted due to a stroke or heart attack. Perhaps law makers and judicial system need to be made aware of this condition. As well as law enforcer to be educated so that they can show more sympathy toward people with this. Sure it’s very rare, but a police office should be a member of the community and only be harsh if the person themselves is uncooperative. I imagine it’s terrifying to be told your blood alcohol is high when you haven’t drank and a police officer treating you like a low life piece of shit because of it doesn’t help. A cop shouldn’t never assume to know what type of person but should still obviously follow the facts they have in front of them and arrest them. They just don’t need to be assholes about it unless the person they are arresting is being an asshole or completely showing no respect for the seriousness of the situation is all. And the law should include some understanding or definition that defines what a DUI is Vs an unknown, uncontrolledly medical condition. DUI should include some known conscious act to consume drugs or alcohol and then get behind the wheel. I don’t think it should even be your fault, DUI wise, if your unknowingly drugged. The very fact is that these things impair judgement and how can you even begin to realize that if you have no idea your under the influence of something impairing your judgement. Maybe I just feel close to home because I have a medical condition I need to watch out for when driving. I’m a type 1 diabetic. If my blood sugar drop lows, I could appear drunk. My judgement can become impaired, or at least, it becomes harder to think while my body is focused on needing sugar/carbs. I can become shaky, confuse, and even faint. Now for me it’s very easy to fix this without causing a problem, a quick juice box and I can prevent this from becoming serious and causing a problem. But it could happen suddenly if I am not careful. But I sure as heck am not driving drunk nor do I have any intention to physical drink alcohol and then step in behind the wheel. It’s funny how the treatment for that situation is sorta the complete opposite for this condition. As they need to limit carbs but a low blood sugar for me I need to increase carbs.
I quit drinking 3 days ago cold turkey after being a alcoholic. I havent had a drop of alcohol at ALL since then. Yesterday and especially today I feel very drunk, confused, dizzy, disoriented, and even stumble a little. I feel as if im drunk. My head is also very heavy. Ive never done drugs in my life and rarely smoke cannabis anymore. Ive quit cold turkey before but Ive never experienced anything like this in my life and im 37. I feel very emotional and on edge. Anxiety is thru the roof. I don't know what to do... I stopped drinking because I got tired of feeling this way. Now its like im going to tge liquor store everyday still... Imagine being drunk everyday and never drinking....This is scary. Im pretty sure I have auto brewery syndrome.... Somebody PLEASE pray for me. 😣😖😖😩
Get tested, if you don’t have this disorder (less than a hundred cases worldwide apparently) then it’s most likely withdrawal symptoms, please remember that for a heavy alcoholic, quitting cold turkey can LITERALLY be fatal, if you’re not an extreme alcoholic it shouldn’t be that serious but for a lot of people trying to quit, you can actually harm your body more to the point of death if you just quit cold turkey. If you feel you were a heavy drinker and want to quit, you need to do it in a controlled way, sometimes for people with a serious case of alcoholism (I have experience in my family) then it can actually be better to quit by drinking every day but lowering the amount over time till you can manage without it. Think of it like nicotine and people wanting to quit cigarettes, quitting cold turkey can be hard but if you use NRT (nicotine replacement therapy) it can be very beneficial, where you do things like nicotine patches that release nicotine in small doses over time or nicotine gum where chewing it will give you a tiny bit of nicotine to help with withdrawals and eventually be able to go without it. It applies more so with alcohol, so keep those things in mind and I wish you the best of luck in your recovery, trust me, I’m unfortunately very knowledgeable on this topic
That’s 100% alcohol withdrawal and it can kill you. You never stop cold turkey. You need to taper off (if you are able. Most people with AUD can’t but some can) or go to a doctor/hospital/rehab to get a benzo taper (they affect the same part of the brain but are easier to regulate. Especially under doctor supervision as they’ll only give you as much as medically necessary to get through the withdrawal safely). I realize this is from months ago but I’m posting this in case of relapse or for anyone who reads this and feels similar.
You are very wrong. It's a devastating condition which my husband was recently diagnosed with .....very very scary. It's affecting his memory and judgment and his emotions..... He has to work hard daily on his diet .....no carbohydrates whatsoever just vegetables and protein. Not even fruit for a while. He's on lots of different medications and his doctor said it could take 6 to 9 months to completely recover. But if he starts back on carbohydrates it could come back. Please inform others about this condition it's very very much more common than most people realize.
Literally just found out this wasn't click bait and that this is in fact very real, since no one has said it yet I hope it has been at least livable and may God be with yall.
I can't think of much worse than having the body produce alcohol non stop. That must be a giant burden on health. Clearly stemming from chronic antibiotic use. Not sure there is a case justifying chronic antibiotics.
I have it and I recently got charged with three DUIs when I didn't have anything to drink and it said that my blood content was like six times the legal limit and I only weigh 134 and I'm not huge at all if that was the case I would be dead I wouldn't be able to drive anywhere I just felt drunk and my breath smelled like it because of all of that fermentation in your stomach turns into alcohol from the sugar and bread I even lost my daughter for a brief moment due to this because nobody would believe me now that I have the doctor's note I'm good I'm getting everything off my record
@@ZeroAkarui that's like you saying you don't deserve a wig because you have cancer you dumb ass nobody deserves a reckless driving when you drove right in the first fucking place you deserve a ticket for being dumb
A fellow in the town I grew up in was named Pepsi-Cola-Jack people would buy Jack Pepsi's until he was falling down drunk usually 6 bottles would do it.
well my body is the type to make me lose my senses and alertness. With only 4 hours a sleep per night, I can't drive but still do my best to keep me awake. I guess luck is by my side and it will be a matter of time my body gives up. Maybe I'll be found dead from strucking a tree or a pole, God knows what.
This is the stupidest thing i have ever heard. No wonder this doctor is one of the few (if only) doctors who believe in this. Maybe this gentleman drinks heavily over night and still wreaks of alcohol the next day. Not unusual. If i am wrong i apologize!

You might be suffering from alcohol withdrawal from quitting. Please get help

take mct oil, your body is used to the short chains in alcohol and mct is the shortest good chain, sugar is shorter so that might help too.
