How are you? 🩷 Have you read the book Ikigai: The Japanese Secret to a Long and Happy Life? What did you think? 🌿 I’d also love to know which book you’d like me to review next? 📚 ✨ In my next video, on Sunday, I’ll be talking again about the "Joy of Less" book and the ‘Streamline’ method in it. It's great for creating a more minimalist, decluttered, calm home. Also, in the next video you will see more of Kuro, our cat! 🐾🩷
I would like to live a long and happy life for sure. I am working on being a happy person first. There are some people who are happy-go-lucky and they find happiness in everything in life. I am trying to be one such person but I have to work for it as I do not have that personality.
Hey, I love your vids with book reviews! I'm actually puzzled by the previous comment about being a Catalan and the resulting lack of substance😆 I have "Ikigai" on Audible, but haven't listened to it yet. I'm actually not sure if I want to live as long as people of Okinawa... But I'm sure I want my Kitty to live as long as one of the cats of my Okinawan friend, who made it to 17 yrs old, while being an Exotic Shorthair. Her name was Umi-chan, I'm not kidding you. The average life-span for an Exotic Shorthair cat is 9-14 years old. My Kitty is an EXO girl and I'm sure my Ikigai is closely connected to building a peaceful and harmoniuos life with my darling Daughter (cat mom here). There is a Japanese TH-camr Mako who made an interesting vlog on how the Japanese understand "ikigai". I guess you can dopamize mundane tasks like cleaning or laundry... It's all about mindfulness. The minute you stop calling them "chores" (kaji) and turn into "self-care tasks" is important. I'm really working on it all, but the results aren't spectacular. Keep going, you've got this❤
Thank you so much! 😊 🐾 Building a peaceful and harmonious life with your kitty sounds wonderful. ❤️ I love the idea of calling the tasks "self-care tasks", instead of "chores"! ✨
That is an interesting concept. I like that part about flow. Enjoying washing the dishes, paying the bills and so on is part of the dream in my opinion.
I haven’t read it but a lot of what they mention sounds like the blue zones authors books etc. Too bad it didn’t go into deep into the Ikigai …that sounded interesting!

I'm glad you liked the part about flow! Wishing you a wonderful day! ✨
Muchas gracias. No, no lo he leído todavía.

True! Thank you for commenting! 🩷
I did read the book a few years ago and wasn't impressed. it seemed too vague.
True, the book’s marketing suggested it would be a guide to finding your ikigai. Instead, the book's content was more of a broad overview.
Thanks for the review now I know I'll pass. Leave it to a Catalan to write a lovely designed book with no real substance.
It’s a beautifully designed book, but I expected more depth on the topic. Oh well, on to the next book! 📚 Have a wonderful day! ✨
