@@terrier_productions Quick browse of the used market, and you're talking almost 20 year old tooling, and older. And frankly the manufacturer responsible for the most recent tooling has a tendency to resurrect these older models and charge a modern tooling price for them!

It would have been nice for those of us who cannot attend the exhibition, to see one running on this promotional. It would also have added to the publicity value.
It would be interesting for them to model that U.S. export tender locomotive we saw there briefly at the beginning of the video. I’ll bet neither Hornby, Heljan, nor Dapol have plans for that one in the works, though I’m not sure how many takers there would be for that model, at least among British modelers.
A great announcement and the prototypes look fantastic. I'm sure these will sell extremely well. Not in my wheelhouse though. I did manage to get one of your recent class 37's and it's awesome.
I am sure this will be , like your models a stunner but why not a loco' not seen for ages like a B16 and all it's variants ,or the ubiqutous WD 280/210/0
Nice to see so much real footage - and that Springbok is a beautiful engine. I think someone is planning a USA consolidation in OO, and, with no disrespect, the Bachmann 57 has been around for a while now. Let's see what happens before moaning, shall we?
I've noticed that most of the new tooling models, by the newer manufacturers tend to be of locomotives in preservation, where you can see the end result, and have something physical to measure. There does not seem to be much in the way of supporting documentation or engineers drawings of the older Dean designed locomotives. Not saying that I wouldn't like to see some of the early examples of what became a ubiquitous sight on most of the GWR branch lines and shunting yards, but I understand the desire to model something that can still be seen somewhere today. But there's always hope that we'll see a pannier tank tooling, that maybe has the option of a saddle tank as built new somewhere in the range! 🙂
Absolutely fantastic! Can I respectfully suggest you look at the profile of the chimney lip? It doesn't seem to have quite the correct profile in these prototypes. A very small point, but to get the chimney profile absolutely correct is very important for the whole look of the engine. Overall though, this will undoubtedly be the best 57XX Pannier of all time. Well done!
Oh no you have made me spend money on another Severn Valley Railway locomotive now. 7714 will join Erlestoke Manor in my collection and 7714 is one of my favourites on the Severn Valley Railway.
I think accurascale are the best model company and there models are second to none be it locos or rowling stock .I think if they did a model of the class 20 it would be a massive hit with diesel modelers of the 60s-70s. class 37 is a brilliant model long weighing time 3 years for mine but we'll worth it. 5 🌟 from me
The Hornby one is ancient and the Blackman one dates back to Mainline days even if it has a new chassis. Be great to get one with modern features like a stay alive and speaker. Even better if they can sell it for less. I’ll take one and if it lives up to this video I could replace my five Bachmanns. 🤞👍🏻
A crowded market may not produce the anticipated sales volume, but it now seems to be an offering for a "collectors' market", with almost insatiable demand. Watch this space, but the new L&M 0-4-2 loco is now being offered at a much-reduced price by one retailer . . .

All sounds very exciting, but there are so many prototypes missing from the RTR market that trying to bite the heals of other manufacturers with minor detail differences which the majority of modelers don't care about seems like a fruitless venture. The LNER modelers must be on the verge of an uprising, as I've pointed out countless times on various forums etc, the LNER being the largest of the big four had many more prototype locomotives.
