This series has been a fun one to watch. The funny thing as well I’ve actually gotten to visit the NRM alongside the North Norfolk Railway and Bressingham. I’ve also gotten to see No. 61306 on a railtour.

I wish I had seen the Grimsby and Immingham tramway-or what remained of it. I remember it closing but my father could not afford to take me (a tramway enthusiast even then) just everywhere.

Please, list EVERY documentary and video of railways in the UK from 1920s to 1969 that feature the big 4/British rail, heritage railways, narrow-gauge railway, Snowdow, and Ravenglass and Eskdale

32:56 65894 on the NRM is a J27 NOT a J72. Same numbers, wrong order.

23:28 Sort of. Many B17s received Thompson's higher pressure diagram 100A boiler (even well into the 50s) becoming reclassified as B17/6. However, Thompson took it further on ten examples which also lost their middle cylinder to become the two cylinder B2s. However, testing proved the B17/6 rebuild was more efficient than the B2, so further rebuilds were to the B17/6 outline.

Wonderful Video. Also wonderful to see more footage of the Thompson Pacifics.

The amount of work you have put in to make these videos is astonishing. Not only are they all packed with facts which many of us would not know, since we all have our favourite pre nationalisation company and so I learnt a lot about the companies other than the LMS., but the editing to show many of the locos you are speaking of were shown contemporaneously with the video.. Very well done.

Good history but feel there was a few missing. No mention about the A1 society building a P2 or a V3 or much detail on mallard 1938 record speed run.

I take your point but when making this series I preferred to generalise subject rather than go indepth

The statement at 26:46 seems wrong as all the preserved A4 locomotives are LNER built.

Its more a case of where they came from before preservation rather than builder
