Lovely car, just acquired one with the same engine/trans/AWD, but in all black with leather and such. It has under 60k miles and I can’t believe how high quality everything is. Extremely smooth to drive as well.

How it is so far with this engine? Good speed?

@@samymatianu8399 Garage queen for the first 50k of its life, but it runs super smooth, and has decent pull. It seems to be a pretty light car so it doesn't take a lot to get moving. Low to the ground with excellent visibility, feels much faster than it is.

Thank you for this short, practical review. A beautiful car with a great combination of color, engine and gearbox. Cheers!

If you're keeping the car outdoors keep an eye on the sunroof drains and cabin filter bracket. They're prone to leaks which can collect in the footwells and drown the TCM.

Hello, I'm looking on getting a very well saved B5.5 passat with manual transmission. Can you give exact numbers in your experience about the fuel economy? I'm hearing combined it's between 10l/100km to 15l/100km

    • @kingofarctic8474

Hi Elmárs, I don't have an exact measurement of the petrol consumption. However, there is a big difference between city driving and country driving. In city driving with a cold engine and in winter it can reach almost 20L/100Km, it will be significantly lower with a manual gearbox. Normally it uses 15 - 18L/100 km (city driving). In the summer on road driving you can get down to 7 - 8L/100km. The V6 engine is quite thirsty. Greetings Kingofarctic

    Like my diesel 2005 TDI.
Make sure your A/C works, though. It was a costly repair.

Hi Alexandr, I'm very glad I do not have all this electronics that often cause problems on newer cars. When I say in the video quite! well equipped, it obviously means to be a 21 year old car. You can not compare a 2001 model with a new car, it's like comparing apples and oranges. Regards Kingofarctic
