Your expression when you're about to watch your *third* *new* #DoctorWho reaction this morning: 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩 THANKS for this, @DarklyiShine!!!!
Oh this has been a joy! Thank you so much for your reaction, commentary, and fun editing! As for Shakespeare And Liz 1, their conversation leads to Shakespeare being inspired to write “The Merry Wives of Windsor” and then he is inspired to write Hamlet. And with all the wibbly wobbly timey whimey that goes on, who can say for sure what happened. I look forward to the Next video!!!
I like "The Chase" it's one of my favourite Hartnell stories. In those days the BBC couldn't afford re-takes it was very costly they had to make do with what they had they had to film this like it was live if an actor made a mistake usually the other actor will cover for the other actor it's like a stage play on television people watching in the 1960's wouldn't had noticed these things continuity wasn't a big deal kids watching just wanted Daleks and alien worlds it's funny to say this now but back then it was state of the art as television was still in it's infancy and you have to bear in mind these things were only designed to be watched once or twice that was it never to be seen again no one thought these things would be repeated or kept as people junked alot of episodes because the BBC didn't think they were going to be any future value "Dr. Who" wasn't the only show that was affected by this.
The chase is a very special experience. The effects and music are an experience. The space balls reference was very appreciated. Falstaff is a comedic character in several of Shakespeare's plays. It was thought he was based on a royal court lord. These story's are an example of what can go wrong when recording things live and unable to do reshoots because it was to expensive. There are a lot of times when Daleks just go round in circles to make it seem there are more of them. Also I like their little dance they do when they're talking. Those wtf things you showed on the dvd cover are The Zarbi.. giant ants and bitchy actors in silly costumes on wires pretending they are being moths.
@Darkly_i_Shine Bitchy in the sense that the costumes were horrible to wear, wire work, the guys in the ant costumes can't see anything and fibreglass isn't forgiving if it hits you. Also if I recall there's like this robot thing about the size of a roomba that gave out random real electric shocks. All that stress you can tell in their performance. So in a sense it was kinda excusable but it shouldn't slip into the performance. Plus the TARDIS crew was having problems, it was when William Hartnell illness started to effect his personality and performance.
@@Darkly_i_Shine it was insane how they did it technically, and without any health and safety. Fake snow being made of asbestos! And the actor playing Ben in the tenth planet cut his eyeballs open on it when it was blown into his face!!!! They use to film it live like a play, in studio to save time they use to edit by pausing the camera then restarting it. Imagine having to do that. They did this way into the 80's, Janet Fielding (Tegan) would always take about it.
“It is six parts. I’m not even going to pretend I’m going to watch that all in one shot. Good Lord.” Wait until you get to The War Games! 🤣 “The Chase” is the first poor Dalek story (and of course it wouldn’t be their last bad one) but as the story progresses you can tell that it’s meagre plot is stretched out way to much to sustain 6 episodes, and it’s really only the last episode that holds its weight in value for a number of reasons. It’s just a pity it took them so long to get there. Can’t wait for your reaction to episode 3, and a certain Mr. Dill. 🤣

Ok I gotta ask why do u say bitchy actors? Can u tell in their performance or is it like well known drama ?

Thanks. I do like some trivia. Watching these classic who episodes is making me more aware of the hardships of filming back then
