Thought for a physical version, i don't know how feasible this is but the prospect of pulling a rule scroll from the box and just letting it roll out onto the floor like in a cartoon has endless comedic potential
At the mere presence of this thought, my day has been brightened. I'm just imagining... Hear ye, hear ye; The divine yet blasphemous decree henceforth proclaimed by thy Uno Monarch, who, driven by sickening madness, has profaned the holy sanctity of our Uno Order with his voracious Amalgam!
Two quick pitches now that I finished the video: 1- For the colorblind designs, I’d recommend the officially licensend Color Add version, where the primary colors (Red, Blue, and Yellow) are represented by a unique symbol, while secondary colors are a combination of its primary symbols (So if Yellow is a Diagonal Line, and Blue is a Triangle pointing to the Bottom Right, then Green is a combination of both). Pink could be a Variant of the Red symbol (similar to how in Spanish there is N and then Ñ) and Gray and Black don’t need a symbol as there are clearer from the rest. Of course, you could use the symbols of Color Add (since it’s based on the actual Color Alphabet for Colorblindness, so immune to copyright) or do your own take with a similar system. 2- In regards of how the Invisibility Wild is implemented, while I understand that symbols are inherently going to overlap, I’d prefer that some symbols retained their uniqueness. So I’d say that instead of Invisibility returns the punishment to the most recent contributor/the players before your turn, it instead skip your own turn and give the punishment to the player that FOLLOWS your turn. This not only allows for the Superstar (who I’d imagine that is going to be renamed to just “Counter”) and Invisibility to coexist as separate effects, but give scenarios on whether which card you’d rather use (AKA who you want to screw), better interactions between both (Imagine you skipping the punishment, only for the next player to send it back at you) AND preserve the original card’s theming (As when I picture it, Invisibility is not “I counter the problem”, but “I AVOID the problem”. Hope you consider these small changes for this Eldritch horror of a game!
Or maybe invisibility just negates them, while super star reflects all draws, oh wait the yellow color power already negates them, maybe you can’t be targeted by them/
Mm, I like this. Also think it's interesting when paired with the targeted draw cards. With the way you've now defined both cards, I figure if someone throws a draw ALL THE WAY across the table, the "Superstar" would send it right back at them, whereas the "Invisibility" actually makes the chosen player whoever follows you in play order.
I feel like the invisibility cloak should just nullify cards instead of reflecting them, stays truer to the source, makes it less OP and makes Super Star a little more meaningful and distinct
It seems as if games of this amalgam would either be long and intense duels that makes the players sound like dark wizards pulling out another spell after another. or a potential start for a bar fight
@@maxxpower3d6 UTG (starts assigning power and toughness to cards which are equal to specified values like draw strength of the card or cards in the hand of those playing against it, effectively a draw your hand again card if you play ANY card that isn't a number card while if played number card onto it is equal then no effect, if number card beats said card then the person who placed it draws from your hand the excess; yes you can win via this, also yes you have to shuffle your hand as if it was a new draw pile and pick up the remaining after the draw.)
Then again a rule of mine i run to keep instant wipe hand cards like that from getting out of play is yes you are at 0 cards, and draw 0 per turn period; but you have the slight downfall of not winning AND force draw cards put you back into play. Then i have another rule that places jokers back into play and inacts a 3 of a kind rule which allowes you to place 3 of the same card counted by symbol only, not wilds; which also says that any card may be placed on a joker card immediately after to include another joker. THEN the only real way to win is play 3 jokers while zeroing out your hand if possible with 1 card or 3 of a kind afterwards. Which finally inacts the last rule to it that makes this tie in and work together; the losers rule, if the last person remaining cannot play ALL of their cards in any order(ie. you place a yellow card and have a red card still in hand) then you are the ONLY loser, which yes means there are no winners for the entire game and you can only self eliminate via jokers to make sure you don't lose. oh yeah and since this is a rule specific to amalgam, yes the mario star and harry potter invincibility do counter this if played before turn end; to include the player placing jokers+star/invincible, which means they're still in play with 0 cards if they didn't have any.
if you're already going through the trouble of adding a diceset to the game, having 4d8s with a color on each face to track the status of the piles might make sense. considering the pure insanity you're going to go through while playing, with the dancing, referencing the rulebook, houserules, and (presumably) very drunk, it's gonna get extremely hard to keep track of all of the piles
Food for thought, why not just top right this dice image and number so you no longer have to keep track of it like how playing cards do with the face cards. Then you read a number and just match top left and top right to values on the pile instead of ever reading the card you instead get all your info of every card in the game so far from top left symbol, top right color number, bottom right alternate or equal symbol, bottom left alternate color number if applicable.
There's a few card games that have an "invisible card" concept. The way it usually works is: play the invisible card to pass the last card to the _next_ player in turn order instead of you. I feel like it may be a way to differentiate the invisibility cloak from just being "super star but stronger" by passing the effect on instead of reflecting it.
Apparently Uno H2O has transparent waterproof cards. That sounds like two very worthwhile features that will make designing this as an actual product very fun.
For the wild card clarification, maybe if you design them so that each color is facing a direction you could just have it be that you’re meant to rotate that card so that color is facing up Example: The color is yellow so you rotate the card 90° so that yellow is facing up or something
@@tubegerm6732 Well if everyone is around in a circle you could place the four play piles pointing to the middle of the table, and have the color of the wild point to the middle of the table also
It would be useful to make a rules card that tells you what all the numbers rolled on the dice do. Having to go to a rule book every time you need to roll dice would be tedious even in this game. Just a quality of life thing for this amalgamation.
The amalgam's power grows... This was incredible! Also, while I'm at it--while browsing the Mario Wiki (as I am want to do), I found a new version that's currently unaccounted for, in the form of Nintendo UNO. No, not Super Mario UNO, not Pokemon UNO, just a plain generic Nintendo UNO from 2004. That could be a fun and simple one to add, seeing as from what I can tell, it's just another "Wild Card that does a cool thing." thing.
I'd say it could be considered a BUG, but I'd vote option A. The tokens to indicate wildcard color are something I've wanted in the base game for a while anyways
Yeah I think including it would be good for people who want to use it, since people who want to have to remember wild colors can just not use the tokens
I think it would be kinda cool to add flex versions of wild cards where the flex side is the four colours it doesn't have printed on it. Also, at this rate you're going to run out of wild cards to put symbols on lol
I think the wild color clarification is a good idea and could just be printed on cards rather than tokens. It's not like we're skimping on cards at this point
@@MassacresMansion Thinking about it more, maybe the art cards could function this way. Give them a function, though it would mean including more of them
@@bentaphid44this is exactly what I was thinking, they could be double sided so only 3 additional art cards would be needed, and they would basically just be like the jokers and branding cards in a standard 52-card deck
That's When We Will Know That Uno Amalgam Has Truly Reached A Wide Enough Audience, And I Can't Wait For That Day To Come. MM Deserves It For All The Work He Does To Make These Videos.
At first I wasn’t a fan of using an app to track the discard colors but an app would be a great way to keep track of the ‘house rules’ rules. Also as long as each die is only used for one mechanic each you could include a dice rolling feature that automatically gives you the outcome. Keep up the good work!
I'm not a fan of having to use the phone during a tabletop game, but if the game still works without it that'd be okay? i don't know. I'm just very anti-app, since they always tend to expire before the game itself does.
For remembering the Wild color, perhaps there can be a marker which sits atop the current color as depicted on the Wild card. When a card is played on the wild, the marker is removed. That way, only 4 markers will be needed, one for each discard pile. This feels like a more elegant solution than an app or 4 tokens per color (or double-sided color tokens). The Wild cards might need a redesign to make that easier to manage though.
I found some cool suggestions, first is a relatively new version of Uno called Uno show ‘em no mercy, which adds new cards (some are from Uno flip though) and a cool new game rule that removes you from play if you have 25+ cards. Second is Mario Uno’s super star, which makes you invincible to draw 2s and 4s till your next turn. Third is the diary of a wimpy kid Uno’s wild cheese touch card, where all players show if they have any yellow cards, and draw 2 cards if they do. Finally is the cars 3 uno wild crash up card, where you and the next player shuffle your hands together and redistribute evenly. I think all (especially cars 3) would add some more chaos to this chaotic game.
I have made a mistake, the super star reflects draw 2/4 once, not till next turn, and whoever played the last draw 2/4 has to draw what was reflected (this will be really fun if anything stacks is added because +1,2,4, and 5 will allow for some crazy reflections).
idk, removing a player seems kind of lame, especially since there's a higher chance of accumulating 25 cards, since more cards are in the deck. The others sound fun though!
I feel like the 25 cards could be moved to 100 or more for the amalgam. I also feel like starting with only 7 cards will make games to short, maybe increase it to 14 or 21 cards.
First of all, I'm very much enjoying the series and looking forward to the next episode. A version of Uno I'd like to mention is Uno Roboto. It's entirely composed of a B.U.G. which (along with things that don't affect the gameplay) has a chance to give a random player a random command whenever anyone plays a card. For example, player A plays a card and the robot tells player B to discard all cards of a certain color. Not sure exactly how you'd convert this into a non-BUG; maybe just a list of possible commands and a die to choose one from the list? (might be a nice way to add a d20 if you aren't using one already, or a d100 if you're feeling crazy) Though I don't know how you'd randomly select a player for it to apply to. After it gives a command, it chooses a random player to continue play. Also, sometimes it asks a player to create a new house rule which can then be called out as a command later.
I was watching, and nodding, and going like "uh huh, uh huh, checks out", thinking there was no possible way I could be fazed by any other weird additions at this point. And then you described what the Wild Howler card does, and now I'm laughing so are I can't breathe.
@@genocidegames8423 Agreed lol, it was hurt already brought up in the video as an option that would increase price more than other options. I like the “turn the wild card so that the top color is the one chosen” idea, personally
You should add more of each base card to accommodate 16 players, plus more room for specials from future versions (I noticed some cards are already stacking abilities on the numbers)
This, the cards will have so much things on them by the end of everything, so it may be best to start either duplicating the existing number cards or creating cards that ONLY have that on them.
With each addition, more color cards are being added. They aren’t necessarily numbers but it is more color cards, and wild cards are proportionally following them. I think there’s already enough cards for 16 players but I’ll be adding a lot more obviously. 😂
@@MassacresMansion Oh ok, I was wondering what would happen when you inevitably run out of wild faces to glue new symbols to, but new colours work, nice
For the wild multi deck color forgetting problem, you could make the wilds a bit stronger by forcing the next card played to be on top of it, that way it’s not forgotten about nor ignored
Really am lovin this series, im instantly made to think about a host of other boardgames with large amounts of different version that could have a similar amalgam. Monopoly springs to mind.
You've already covered the 50th anniversary edition, and I'm unsure if it's been suggested by anyone else yet, but the 30th anniversary edition has a wonderful card for the amalgam: the Anniversary Card. When played the person who played it chooses all but one of the other cards in their hand and gives those cards to ANY other player. They're also supposed to say 'happy anniversary' to the victim. They ALSO get to choose a new color for play as a wild would, and the rulebook even says anniversary card may be played at any time on any color or number. Maybe allow it to bypass some of the 'pile-freeze' mechanics?
You are insane, please make more of these. Consider adding Hello Kitty Uno, which has a special "Wild Hello Kitty Bow" card that forces every player to show a red card from their hand, and if they don't have one, they must draw 3 cards. While fact-checking this rule I discovered there is also a "Hello Kitty and Friends" Uno set that includes the "Wild Badtz-Maru" card, which makes the player with the least amount of cards draw 4. I love designing card games in my free time and have a terrible sense of humor, so this series has been a blast to binge. Can't wait to play this when it (hopefully) releases physically!
I think when it comes to wild card colors, you use Monopoly rules, where if nobody notices you play the wrong color card on top of it, you're simply allowed to do so, but if you're called out you have to take back your card and maybe draw some too. One issue I see with this is that the player calling you out could simply lie, at which point it would have to be resolved in some way.
I had a plan to do basically this but with munchkin. Unfortunately; most cards between those sets are unique so its a lot harder to integrate - that said; this is giving me some devilish ideas.
I really think you should include the part about drawing multiple creeper cards in a row to the rules just to add chaos and confusion to those who don't know there's only one.
"humans and their cubes, i swear" and then the funny card man has his identity revealed as the god of incredibly complex card games edit: the amalgam is never ridiculous enough. keep feeding the beast please and thank you
I subscribed because of the Uno Amalgam. Can't wait for the episode. Keep up the good work. By the way, do you take suggestions for the amalgam? I found a copy of Star Wars Uno from some time ago that apparently has something called the Wild Force Card.
I love that the creeper wild does have a purpose, and it's sole purpose is to force the person who draws it to have a bad day for a lil bit. It's nice to have a card that's mean to the user for a change. I'm glad it's only on 1 card though or there's a chance to have a horrible time. It also means invisibility wild could allow you to ignore it, giving it a card to directly avoid.
Uno Rick and Morty has a wild that lets you search the discard pile for a specific card, which I feel allows for much more power with these powerful single cards.
I'm gonna echo what other people have said in the comments. Came for the Uno amalgam thanks to TH-cam algorithm, but checked out the rest of your channel from pure curiosity and Massacards seems really cool. Presentation is good as always will be sticking around for both :)
Regarding Wild colour cards, I suppose it would work if the next player must play on the wild with the colour named or draw some number of cards, probably 1
Are you aware of the Cobs Uno Promo Cards? Despite not technically being a full version of Uno, it'd probably have more effect than most variants, since it's just 13 unique cards.
Thank you for adding UNO party good sir! Seeing these popular franchise based UNO games reminded me of UNO Ultimate which is a Marvel themed one where players choose different Marvel Heroes to play as and they all have unique effects. From what I've seen of it, it doesn't really play like normal UNO at all, but good luck trying to add that version into the amalgam if you dare. As for the wild situation, I don't think need to you add something to help people remember, but when you eventually playtest this, if at all, that could be a good way to tell if people can actually remember or need something to remind them.
I’m surprised you have gone this long without talking about the uno cobs popcorn cards, you featured one before in a previous video the Wild Draw 8, but there are a whole lot more
finally, they've added quantum entanglement to uno. I kind of love that, you could expand on the rules for that hugely if this was the main point of the game

I think the invisibility card should send the effect to the next person and not deflect it to the previous, because it's like if you tried shooting an invisible person with a gun and missed. You wouldn't hit yourself, you'd hit the person unlucky enough to stand behind the other.
Hm maybe you should have to spend your power card to do that, I think mixing and matching some of the mechanics to make new original ones like that could be interesting
A possible addendum to the "Add Rule" cards from Uno House Rules: They can either enable or disable the layers of complex rules within Uno Amalgam, especially the numerous rules added from the gimmicky BUGs Uno has to offer. This means that up to a number of 9 rules can be active at any time, implying that a specific set of extra "BUG" Rules can be chosen by the group of players to implement within a single game of uno.
The Invisibility Cloak Card seems to be like a "Nuh uh" card. If you're being hit by a bad effect, like being skipped and having to draw, you could show the Invisibility card and continue as though you aren't hit. Like, "You can't hit me, because I'm invisible."
In Uno Toy Story 3 game there's a Lotso card that I think has a cool effect. From uno wiki: "The Lotso Card is the special card in the Toy Story 3 edition of Uno, named for the main antagonist of that film, Lots-o'-Huggin' Bear. When this card is played, the player who played the card must say a color. All of the other players must show one card of that color to the player who played the card. If they do not, they must draw 3 cards. However, if all of the other players show a card of the color that was said, the player who played the Lotso Card must draw 3 cards instead. Since this card has an effect that applies to everyone, the next player in sequence will take his turn regardless of who had to draw cards. The Lotso Card's effect also still applies when a player uses the card to go out, so it is possible that said player must still draw 3 cards and therefore be put back into the game if it so happens that all the other players show a card of the color he chose. Additionally, a player can technically choose not to reveal a card of the color that was said even if they possess it, but they will be forced to draw 3 cards."
There is also another cool special card from Uno Toy Story 4. From uno wiki: "The Wild Duke Caboom Card is the special card for the Toy Story 4 edition of Uno. It is based on the Canadian stuntman toy, Duke Caboom, who is featured in that movie. When this card is played, the person who played it gets to choose two players to take both of their hands, mix them up, and then deal them back equally to the two players. If there is an odd number of cards, the person who played the card gets to choose who gets the extra card. After that, the person who played the card chooses a color and play resumes in the current direction. The rules of the card technically do not say that you cannot choose yourself as one of the two players whose hands will be mixed up. If this card is used during a 1v1 match, it would have to be that way, because there would only be two players in the entire game. Otherwise, the card would have no effect."
I think for a physical game a small symbol glossary for each player would be incredibly useful so you don’t need to keep looking at the rule book? Just like a little slip of paper with all the symbols and their names? Especially since symbols with similar effects look similar?
imagine you and a group of 4 friends do rock paper scissors to see who goes first and you get to go first. you then begin to setup the discard piles and all 4 cards are draw cards and the first player has to draw like 16 cards and loses their turn at the beginning of the game.
Also in consoles, there's a Uno Rayman themed with 4 exclusives card themes. The Dragon: If someone plays this card, all the players hands will be shuffled by the Dragon and randomly distributed to all players (so that means that all the cards will be so random as like the number of card you have and the cards itselfs). Punching Things: If someone plays this card, it will deflect a Draw Two or a Wild Draw Four and double the penalty! But if it was played normally, it acts as a Wild (Choose the active color of play). (Yeah this card is broken lmao) Escape: If someone plays this card, they'll get a quick peek at the cards of one of your opponents are holding (this peek is 3 seconds long) and then hide your card total from everyone else. (This can be made with an object to hide your cards like a vase idk) A little help: If someone plays this card, they'll clone the current card on top of the discard pile. (I supposed that there's 2 Dragon cards, 2 Escape cards, 2 Punching thing cards and 2 a Little help cards) (The rest of the cards are the same that the original Uno has)
Nice video! My personal suggestion would be uno power grab, where if the plastic structures end up being too expensive, you could replace them with cards or tokens. Also, perhaps to get around the CAM of uno emoji, you could do something like have the person playing the card make or describe a face, and have the next person mimic said face.
Hey man awesome video!!! I don’t know if it’s an official uno game but i think that a uno “tres” exists. I recall watching someone playing it, but maybe it’s a different type of game to be included in the uno amalgam.
For keeping track of the wild card colour I personally love C just leaving it up to the players to keep track of as it adds a new element of seeing if you can try to trick the other players into believing it was something different, maybe if you're caught you draw some cards, maybe make it work like how challenging a +4 works where you draw the cards if you was wrong. If you do want an official way to track it i personally prefer the counters over a website as with a website it feels like it would be cumbersome than just keeping track with pen and paper.
I feel like the invisibility cloak card should be slightly changed so that the effect isn’t bounced back but goes to the next person since… you know… you’re invisible. So they don’t even know you’re there anymore
I see that the uno all wild deck is included. I have a few more ideas. Uno Flex adds a neat little modifier to certain cards, allowing you to play a different color than the one displayed if you are “powered up”. You get powered up by having a special card that is in front of you flipped up to the checkmark side. When used, it flips over to the X side. It also adds colorblind friendly graphics (triangles on the side). If it’s not in this one, i’d be glad to see it included. Also minecraft uno time.
The invisibility wild card should transfer the effect of any cards play against you to the player next to you in the turn order, as if the cards dont see you and go to the nearest person. More chaos = more fun
This is absolutely wild -heh- , you've done fantastic work here with this, heheheh. As you've asked for more suggestions, I happen to know of some other versions: Shrek Uno, adds a "Merlin" card. It's a Wild, and when you choose the new color, everyone else has to draw cards until they get one of that color. (Hadn't heard of this initially, found out about it when I double checked the Shrek rules, and found out there are apparently _two_ Shrek Unos. So, I haven't played this version, I only know of this from a google search.) Shrek 2 Uno, adds a "Blind" card. It's a Wild, when played, you pick another player, they have to close their eyes and take 1 card from every other player. (So basically, just, take a random card from everyone else's hand, don't have to close your eyes, really. The card probably only makes you do so cuz' it has the Three Blind Mice on it.) Then you pick a color for the Wild to be, and play resumes. Eye-Eye Spongebob! Uno, it adds another BUG, and a new card symbol, the Eyeball: The Eyeball appears on a single 1-5 of each color, (so, 5 per color,) and triggers the BUG. The BUG is Spongebob's head, you pull his nose to spin both his eyes, each of which have different results: The left eye can be green, red or black, and decides the target. Green means you pick the target, red means you're the target, and black means that it's cancelled and no one's the target. The right eye decides the effect, and it has symbols for draw 4, discard 1, and draw cards until you get either a yellow, blue or wild. I'm, not sure how you'd set this up. Roll a d4 twice, ignoring 4s, to decide the effects for each eye? Alternatively, you could just remove the "nothing happens" and roll a d6 for all the other combinations. Or, d8, on a 1 or a 2 nothing happens? Also, while looking up the Merlin card, I, found a website that lists every single version of Uno in existence, which also has a page for every Wild variant? I thought it could be helpful: All Uno Variants List: www.unovariations.com/every-type-of-uno-card-game-and-spinoff All Uno Wilds List: www.unovariations.com/rules-for-unique-uno-wild-cards
I haven't realized that there were 2 more videos about this monstrosity However, i absolutely love the fact that you are actually planning on releasing the physical version and I'll be waiting nervously for that day, when all the hell breaks loose and Uno Amalgamation is born into the world If the tabletop simulator version is still on the table (no pun intended), i would love to see that one too, or ask for your permission to do it once this whole thing is over!
So idea: have some special cards that when flexed, could be a different special wild cards (e.g. having on one side Super Mario power star and on the other side a Wild Dos Symbol or more realistically, moving the invincibility to the flex side of the star). Double the effects, half the cards!
So as for keeping track of which color card is on which discard pile, you could include four d-8’s with a color on each side, with it just having to be rotated. This would be cool and easier to use than the token idea but probably more expensive. Idk. Have a good day!
You should make a color it yourself version of the Uno Amalgam. Sell the paper with the respective numbers to color them properly and a pack of crayons or something and sleeves to put the cards in after they're colored. Should be cheaper than printing everything in color and it'd be an extra entertainment factor as the corpos in Mattel would say. In fact, has Mattel already done that? It'd also allow for further customization. The art cards would still come in colored though. If you want to get really expensive woth the printing I recommend you get some braille letterings in the cards. Thatd make them real cool and exponentially harder to print.
I love how he mentions how uneeded house rules are and then immediately adds a feature that is the most likely thing to be removed by someone's house rules.
If you need to change the flavoring for IP reasons, you could genuinely go for high fantasy flavoring. Refer to the other side of the cards as "the dark realm," refer to the house rules/cards as "ancient scrolls," etc. The game is so archaic and already uses polyhedral dice so it could fit.
Thought for a physical version, i don't know how feasible this is but the prospect of pulling a rule scroll from the box and just letting it roll out onto the floor like in a cartoon has endless comedic potential
At the mere presence of this thought, my day has been brightened. I'm just imagining...

Two quick pitches now that I finished the video:
1- For the colorblind designs, I’d recommend the officially licensend Color Add version, where the primary colors (Red, Blue, and Yellow) are represented by a unique symbol, while secondary colors are a combination of its primary symbols (So if Yellow is a Diagonal Line, and Blue is a Triangle pointing to the Bottom Right, then Green is a combination of both).
Huh quite smart and goes with the names very well!
Good suggestions!
Maybe 😂
because of the invisibility aspect, I was hoping it'd just pass it on to the person next to you, as if you weren't there

@@MassacresMansionso wizard bar fight?
Well let's prepare building a new bar then
Uno: The Gathering
Very solid idea!
MOR DICE!!!
I wonder how a D20 can be added to the game...
@@misticalinteractiveturn order (Mario party style = higher number than all = go first
Food for thought, why not just top right this dice image and number so you no longer have to keep track of it like how playing cards do with the face cards.

Cool!
Apparently Uno H2O has transparent waterproof cards. That sounds like two very worthwhile features that will make designing this as an actual product very fun.

For the wild card clarification, maybe if you design them so that each color is facing a direction you could just have it be that you’re meant to rotate that card so that color is facing up
Example: The color is yellow so you rotate the card 90° so that yellow is facing up or something
wouldn't that only work if everyone playing is facing the same direction?
@@tubegerm6732 Well if everyone is around in a circle you could place the four play piles pointing to the middle of the table, and have the color of the wild point to the middle of the table also
oooh i really like this idea.
This is probably the best solution.
That doesn't work when everyone is sitting around a table at different angles.
It would be useful to make a rules card that tells you what all the numbers rolled on the dice do. Having to go to a rule book every time you need to roll dice would be tedious even in this game. Just a quality of life thing for this amalgamation.
I’ll do this but only if all of the text actually fits on a card in the final product 😂
Idk if magic the gathering's wordcount is acceptable, but if so, then i think your rules will fit on the cards themselves 😅

Noted!
I'd say it could be considered a BUG, but I'd vote option A. The tokens to indicate wildcard color are something I've wanted in the base game for a while anyways
Valid!
Cool idea! And true!
I think the wild color clarification is a good idea and could just be printed on cards rather than tokens. It's not like we're skimping on cards at this point

At first I wasn’t a fan of using an app to track the discard colors but an app would be a great way to keep track of the ‘house rules’ rules. Also as long as each die is only used for one mechanic each you could include a dice rolling feature that automatically gives you the outcome. Keep up the good work!
Thank you!
@@MassacresMansionalso, make the app work offline.
Cool idea!
Maybe the marker is a *die*
I don’t mind if the next one isn’t sooner. I like the consistency of one every 2 weeks on Saturday

this feels like keep talking and nobody has to explode but with uno and I am all here for it
Very cool. 😈
Noted. 😈
idk, removing a player seems kind of lame, especially since there's a higher chance of accumulating 25 cards, since more cards are in the deck. The others sound fun though!
I feel like the 25 cards could be moved to 100 or more for the amalgam. I also feel like starting with only 7 cards will make games to short, maybe increase it to 14 or 21 cards.
@@ShadowGlitch7610 would be cool
😈
I was watching, and nodding, and going like "uh huh, uh huh, checks out", thinking there was no possible way I could be fazed by any other weird additions at this point.
And then you described what the Wild Howler card does, and now I'm laughing so are I can't breathe.
Perfect. 😎👌
For keeping track of the discard pile, you could incorporate a colored d8 that can just be rotated whenever a wild card's color is chosen.
The problem is that you would need one for every discard pile, just in case
@@MaidenOfAir not the worst thing to add 4d8s as i assume dice aren't that expensive.
@@genocidegames8423 Agreed lol, it was hurt already brought up in the video as an option that would increase price more than other options. I like the “turn the wild card so that the top color is the one chosen” idea, personally

Told my friend group about this. Can’t wait for a three day long tort- I mean, game of Uno.
That’s the intended way to play! 😈
@MassacresMansion makes sense I suppose, still good to keep in mind
@@MassacresMansion Oh ok, I was wondering what would happen when you inevitably run out of wild faces to glue new symbols to, but new colours work, nice

For the wild multi deck color forgetting problem, you could make the wilds a bit stronger by forcing the next card played to be on top of it, that way it’s not forgotten about nor ignored

Really am lovin this series, im instantly made to think about a host of other boardgames with large amounts of different version that could have a similar amalgam. Monopoly springs to mind.
Perhaps that’s a future series. 😂

NAHHHHHHHH its cool
Thank you for your suggestions 😈
I think when it comes to wild card colors, you use Monopoly rules, where if nobody notices you play the wrong color card on top of it, you're simply allowed to do so, but if you're called out you have to take back your card and maybe draw some too.
One issue I see with this is that the player calling you out could simply lie, at which point it would have to be resolved in some way.
Good idea!
I don't know if this is an official uno rule but when I play we have a rule where you have to draw 2 anytime you make a mistake.
I had a plan to do basically this but with munchkin. Unfortunately; most cards between those sets are unique so its a lot harder to integrate - that said; this is giving me some devilish ideas.

IMO an "invisibility" effect shouldn't reflect, just negate.
Fair!

Not a bad idea! 🤔
Cool idea!
The Invisibility Cloak Card seems to be like a "Nuh uh" card. If you're being hit by a bad effect, like being skipped and having to draw, you could show the Invisibility card and continue as though you aren't hit. Like, "You can't hit me, because I'm invisible."
Basically yeah 😂
In Uno Toy Story 3 game there's a Lotso card that I think has a cool effect. From uno wiki:
"The Lotso Card is the special card in the Toy Story 3 edition of Uno, named for the main antagonist of that film, Lots-o'-Huggin' Bear.
From uno wiki:
"The Wild Duke Caboom Card is the special card for the Toy Story 4 edition of Uno.
👌😈
I will surprisingly be able to get a chance at watching this. Card wait to see all the card art in it's pixelated glory.
Thank you!
I think for a physical game a small symbol glossary for each player would be incredibly useful so you don’t need to keep looking at the rule book? Just like a little slip of paper with all the symbols and their names? Especially since symbols with similar effects look similar?
I don’t think you know how many symbols there are going to be. 😂
imagine you and a group of 4 friends do rock paper scissors to see who goes first and you get to go first. you then begin to setup the discard piles and all 4 cards are draw cards and the first player has to draw like 16 cards and loses their turn at the beginning of the game.
That sounds hilarious. 😂
It was already far above average, but I love how the quality of the videos and the humor has gone up so much since the beginning!
Thank you!
Also in consoles, there's a Uno Rayman themed with 4 exclusives card themes.
The Dragon:
If someone plays this card, all the players hands will be shuffled by the Dragon and randomly distributed to all players (so that means that all the cards will be so random as like the number of card you have and the cards itselfs).
Punching Things:
If someone plays this card, it will deflect a Draw Two or a Wild Draw Four and double the penalty! But if it was played normally, it acts as a Wild (Choose the active color of play). (Yeah this card is broken lmao)
Escape:
If someone plays this card, they'll get a quick peek at the cards of one of your opponents are holding (this peek is 3 seconds long) and then hide your card total from everyone else. (This can be made with an object to hide your cards like a vase idk)
A little help:
If someone plays this card, they'll clone the current card on top of the discard pile.
(I supposed that there's 2 Dragon cards, 2 Escape cards, 2 Punching thing cards and 2 a Little help cards)
(The rest of the cards are the same that the original Uno has)
👌
Nice video! My personal suggestion would be uno power grab, where if the plastic structures end up being too expensive, you could replace them with cards or tokens.
Also, perhaps to get around the CAM of uno emoji, you could do something like have the person playing the card make or describe a face, and have the next person mimic said face.

I can't wait for Valefisk to hear about this. I think he would be impressed with how absolutely cursed this uno deck would be.

I feel like the invisibility cloak card should be slightly changed so that the effect isn’t bounced back but goes to the next person since… you know… you’re invisible. So they don’t even know you’re there anymore
Maybe!
Heheh. 😈
can you also play matching numbers on the mini pile?
@@juliamavroidi8601 yes!
The invisibility wild card should transfer the effect of any cards play against you to the player next to you in the turn order, as if the cards dont see you and go to the nearest person.
More chaos = more fun

This is absolutely wild -heh- , you've done fantastic work here with this, heheheh. As you've asked for more suggestions, I happen to know of some other versions:
Shrek Uno, adds a "Merlin" card. It's a Wild, and when you choose the new color, everyone else has to draw cards until they get one of that color. (Hadn't heard of this initially, found out about it when I double checked the Shrek rules, and found out there are apparently _two_ Shrek Unos. So, I haven't played this version, I only know of this from a google search.)
Shrek 2 Uno, adds a "Blind" card.
I thought it could be helpful:
All Uno Variants List: www.unovariations.com/every-type-of-uno-card-game-and-spinoff
All Uno Wilds List: www.unovariations.com/rules-for-unique-uno-wild-cards
These are all wonderful suggestions! 😈
I haven't realized that there were 2 more videos about this monstrosity
However, i absolutely love the fact that you are actually planning on releasing the physical version and I'll be waiting nervously for that day, when all the hell breaks loose and Uno Amalgamation is born into the world
If the tabletop simulator version is still on the table (no pun intended), i would love to see that one too, or ask for your permission to do it once this whole thing is over!
Thank you for your support! The physical and TTS versions are both still planned for when the game is finished!
So idea: have some special cards that when flexed, could be a different special wild cards (e.g. having on one side Super Mario power star and on the other side a Wild Dos Symbol or more realistically, moving the invincibility to the flex side of the star). Double the effects, half the cards!
Interesting idea!
So as for keeping track of which color card is on which discard pile, you could include four d-8’s with a color on each side, with it just having to be rotated. This would be cool and easier to use than the token idea but probably more expensive. Idk. Have a good day!
Good idea!
Woah 🤯
I love how he mentions how uneeded house rules are and then immediately adds a feature that is the most likely thing to be removed by someone's house rules.
Lol
If you need to change the flavoring for IP reasons, you could genuinely go for high fantasy flavoring. Refer to the other side of the cards as "the dark realm," refer to the house rules/cards as "ancient scrolls," etc. The game is so archaic and already uses polyhedral dice so it could fit.
That’s a really cool theme idea!
really epic so far! love all your card games!
Thank you so much!
