That Simplicity all the way to the right, some of the best snowblowers ever built. I think they still make them now just like that, except they’re the top tier pro models at around 3 grand. Back when that one was built, what you see is what you got. No cheaper ones. I had one just like that, they’re tanks. Steel rail handles, really great snowblowers.
Great work as always Kyle. Hope you had a great Christmas. The o ring trick may have looked a little funny but you got it fixed none the less. Always fun to work on different engines and machines to continue learning. Keep up the awesome videos. 😎🎄

That was very enjoyable to watch Kyle. I work on a wide variety of snowblowers just like that up here in Cleveland Ohio! Good stuff! Keep up the good work!
@@Kylebythecreek you definitely got that right Kyle The 13 h p Tecumseh Enduro engine that is on My snapper rear engine rider is a prime example plus the formula 6 h.p on the wheeled weed eater I own is another tuff engine
Awesome video. The snowblowers came out nice. Cleaning the points on those Tecumseh engines can sometimes be tough. I hope to see more videos. Merry Christmas.
Sweet haul! A lot of people don't understand that channels like ours have to tow that line of is this really worth my effort/money versus is this really worth the content. I've had a couple of machines lately that weren't worth fixing so then you have half of the comments saying I should have fixed it and the other half saying how im a hack for fixing it 😂 can't make everyone happy
Imagine how many thousand perfectly serviceable Tecumseh engines got thrown away for want of a few O rings. That oil must be hitting that shaft quite hard to make it past those first few O rings. I think epoxy will not adhere to cured epoxy. If so, you might need bare metal on those magnets and flywheel for those magnets to stay on there. It might get hot in there after it gets cut off. But not enough to ruin epoxy. I always seem to mix more than I need. I was surprised to see how that metal gear got chewed up, and how they had ball bearings inside that plastic transmission. Maybe that is why they fill the plastic transmissions on lawn tractors completely with grease. I see those Predator engines that Harbor Freight sells have ball bearing supported shafts inside them, at least the one I saw taken apart did. I was impressed. You have a Happy New Year, Kyle. The very few times it snows in Slidell, Louisiana, everything shuts down. The Interstate highways all have long bridges through the swamps, & across lakes, so they shut them down too. It melts the next day. Watch an ice storm hit for the February 9, 2025 Super Bowl. During the last one, half the Superdome lights went out. They said that the Beyounce halftime show over loaded the circuit. Taylor Swift was just here in the Superdome for 3 shows, so it should be ready to go this time, after they just finished remodeling it for $ 430,000,000 dollars. Expensive, but way cheaper than a new stadium. And the Superdome was built to withstand 200 mph wind gusts from hurricanes, so they can't just build a normal stadium in hurricane alley.
I personally wouldn’t use that engine for anything but a snow blower due to the fact it doesn’t use an air filter. But, with being said, if you come across another snow blower that’s fully functional but has a blown engine this could bolt right up to it. Hope you & yours had a merry Christmas and wishing you guys a happy, healthy and prosperous 2025. Looking forward to seeing more content. God bless. By the way, check out a video in my channel called Craftsman snow blowers Then & Now. I compare a mid 70s model to a 2019 model.
Merry Christmas 🎄 I have a similar Ariens I got from someone had to clean up the points believe I have a shirt with it in it I don’t catch you before the new year have a happy new year!!
Yep used fixed up snowblower season is short. Used to flip Toro CCR series snowblowers before they stopped selling parts for them, now few want the 2 stroke units, I still like them and will keep one for my own use. Never seen a governor shaft leak that much oil, it is just a clearance hole and shaft from the factory, orings might hold the oil back for the long run. Possibly had a plugged breather on it also. You should have tried putting that slant cylinder Tecumseh on in place of the 3.5hp engine, it may have fit.
I would buy that 7hp yard machines as I have the same model which is rusty but has a good transmission but the engine on that one leaks oil and it’s a crappy 179cc Chonda engine. 7Hp would be a beast!
Nice video and enjoyable except thinking about how cold you were trying to work on outdoor equipment. I've done that but glad to be out of the northeast. In terms of the negative comments, you do what you are doing. There are 8 billion people on this planet and you'll never make everyone happy

Tecumseh engine's were the snow blower engine King 👑 back in the day when they were in business
Yeah, I like them. They want to run. Obviously they have their issues. But pretty tough over all

Kyle,
Great repairs, and you lucked out with the Snapper gear shifter. The orings were a good idea. Happy holidays
Thank you!
We never need snowblowers here in the south lol
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to your family!
I hope it was still fun to watch!

I always like those more powerful 24 inch snowblowers as I can’t fit anything else bigger in the garage
I noticed that when these engine's pop at high rpm the idle jet/circuit is in most cases clogged.

To bad we didnt get much snow in that storm

@kyle by the creek good job!
I’ve seen successful reglueing of magnets done on YT. I have 3 videos bookmarked for that repair so let me know if you want the links. 🔧👍❄️
J b weld the magnetics
When the oil all leaks out it will quit leaking oil.
Great point!
