electric scooters are fun especially since I don't have to walk uphills
We have some here. They both are great. I just find that the Lime scooters, which are manufactured by Segway are much faster, tougher and more easier to ride with the shocks. You don't feel all the uneven pavement in Older Cities.
If buying for personal use and budget is an issue. Bird is not a bad brand. It's just a tiny bit slower and doesn't have those nice shocks to absorb all the stuff an Old City can have. But they definitely are NOT a bad brand.
If you can afford a Segway or to buy a used Lime scooter. That would be the best option.
Rode a Bird for the first time in my city ( Downtown San Antonio) this past weekend. It was a bit scary at first but once you get used to it it's not that bad. As far as the Lime vs Bird rivalry I think Bird won out, atleast in my city. I'd like to ride again but next time with a GoPro to capture the experience. I definitely recommend giving it a try to the skeptics.
If you think that’s scary, I have a Rovoron Kullter Luxery electric scooter. 45-50mph max speed, with a 40-60 mile range. Makes the lime scooter look like a kid…
I love both and I rode both! They are both a blast!!! Though I do prefer bird scooters and their fun when there are little jumps on the side walk (I have been riding electric scooters now since 2017) and agree with him that if you are just starting to ride electric scooters lime scooters are what you should start with and once you become experienced then I would suggest try out a bird! Oh also the bird scooters in my area Maryland usa now have screens with speedometers and everything. So ya :) and great vid man!
In my city I noticed that the Lime's handlebars are 5 inches higher than the Bird scooters. It really seems as if Lime is designed for taller people to use. I found the Bird is comfortably sized to fit more people.

I actually prefer the Lime as it has suspension and the Birds I have ridden so far felt lower quality. Anyway, they are nothing compared to SPIN or European companies like TIER, they feel even better than the Lime does.

Where I live with the bird it is $1 to start then 20 send a minute

Does anyone know what brand of scooter Lime uses for their scooters?
Just purchased a Bird and I love it for getting around quick . I was going to get a more powerful one but, I'm glad I didn't . 15 mph is just fine . It also has a speedometer . Next purchase a seat .
Hahaha thought the same... need a seat for my bird air but i cannot find it
Why a more powerful one ?
I prefer limes, birds have annoying sensors that limit your speed and the ride in rougher
Where can i buy lime or tier scooter
It's 1:30 AM in Ottawa, the Bird app says all vehicles are snoozing "charging" and will not let me rent. Also, Lime app don't seem to help me locate a scooter. Do I have to walk all over town until I run into one?
Pretty sure they charge them at night. Not sure if you can rent that late. Let me know if you figure it out!
@@CSPTech Around Ottawa again at 1 AM. That's when all the bars and nightlife rolls it's not that late. Unable to rent a Lime or Bird. Lime just says "We'll be right back".
You know what. Since they're on a pilot and really trying to get this approved permanently. I think not letting drunk people ride them and really hurt themselves is probably not a bad call! I'm generalizing, of course, some people will use them as legitimate driving options but it's probably a safe bet for the company.
I want the scooter that is most dangerous to people walking but safest for me. Which one? also one that make me seem most tall.
Some birds have a speedometer
European scooters are very nice, I don't know what brand it is but the ones in my city is €1 to start and €0.16 per minute.
