    Our Atlantic coast is truly our finest natural asset in Ireland and has to be one of the most beautiful places on Earth. This advert showcases it perfectly.

    Beautiful video, especially welcome escape during these uncertain times.😍 my family and I can't wait to get back out exploring and appreciating what our own beautiful homeland has to offer. People travel from all over the world to see our home, we all need to open our eyes and realise what we gave here.

    December 2017. Record numbers on trollies in Galway hospital and another 500,000 about to be spent on Wild Atlantic Way advertising on Facebook.

      Gar Sm what's your point exactly? Tourism gets its own funding. Healthcare gets its own funding. I don't think you even understand the benefit campaigns like these have to our country. Maybe instead of getting money from tourism we should just raise taxes? Would that make you feel better? I have seen from these comments that you come back every few months to make a ridiculous claim. If you cared that much you'd talk to TD's and other official about this. You hardly think the Taoiseach is going to stumble across your comment and declare slashing funding for tourism and spend it on health. Do you?

      I'm wondering the same thing Kenneth. The movie was fantastic as well as the music. Did you ever get an answer? I don't see one here, but thought I'd ask anyway.

      Do you know how much they were paid? It's impossible to get figures for the total amounts spent on the 'Wild Atlantic Way' - brand consultants, signs, road widening, advertising?

  • @garsm2290
    @garsm2290 9 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    Mayo news. Behind the advertising blurb the reality is that there is now pressure for road widening because of "increased vehicle numbers" (ie massive camper vans). And there is even a plan to have Top Gear racing up and down. Which will mean more pressure for road widening and destruction of the natural habitat.

      The Romans conquered the world because they could build good roads. Backward Mayo people do not like roads. Stay isolated Mayo.

    Latest insult is the gibbet 'Wild Atlantic Way' brand-designers mark stuck by the site of the famine disaster in Doulough. Do these people have no shame?

    • @Patmofar
      @Patmofar 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      While I am aware of the awful tragedy of the famine, my own grandmother, as a child heard first hand accounts of it, and I am also aware of the utter tragedy of the Doulough famine walk, but can you please explain to me, as someone who is somewhat puzzled, why you equate a Wild Atlantic Way signpost with the Doulough tragedy, particularly as none of the unfortunate victims of our then overlords committed suicide as far as I know, as they all succumbed to hunger and would not even have had the energy to commit suicide. Looking forward to hearing your perspective on this matter. Thank you.

      'patmowag41' It was calculated genocide, www.thomhartmann.com/forum/2015/03/irish-genocide-imperialism-rothschild-bank-and-food-confiscation Today, Zionists are using Mass immigration to 'breed out' the 'royal seed' of J.C., /White 'Christian' Europe, & the West, using the slower route, by degrees, under 'the guise' of 'humanitarianism'.

    10 million Euros spent on cluttering up the west of Ireland with intrusive signs ... while people days on trolleys for hospital beds. .. how much did the 'brand consultants' make?
    Tell us.

    • @klynch5156
      @klynch5156 7 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      A few million, probably. Do YOU know how many BILLIONS of Euro of income tourism in all its forms brings into Ireland annually? Do you have ANY idea?

    • @garsm2290
      @garsm2290 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have read that 20 million was spent in Galway and Mayo alone in one year on signs. Do you have a figure for the whole project, including what was given to the brand consultants and what has been spent on advertising?
      The road widening is continuing by the way - around here on the Westport-Louisburgh road. Perhaps you can give us a figure too for road widening?
      Then we can perhaps debate whether that money would be better spent on Galway and Castlebar hospitals. I was recently in the A and E where people are waiting on trollies. Give me the figures.

    • @garsm2290
      @garsm2290 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So you don't have a figure for the money spent on the Wild Atlantic Way?

      An incredibly narrow view! Tourism is a major contributor to the Irish economy.
