I believe scenes like these appeal to our deepest senses...a gorgeous landscape, just as it always was without us spoiling it with 'civilization' - just a little sheep shearing of the grassy slopes and the wind's grooming of all else - sweet perfection !

Such beautiful sights! And they’re even more impressive in person! I visited last year from Romania and I fell in love with this ancient land. I’m definitely coming back. ❤️

Breathtakingly stunning my paternal great grandmother and great grandfather were born in Ballybunion Kerry and Galway bay respectively then they moved to County Clare where my grandfather was born and due to my great grandfather Patrick who was an Irish coal miner they had to move to the UK, as at the time there were no jobs at the time in west Ireland nor the rest of Ireland.
Consequently my family built up a strong Irish Catholic in the area they moved to in the UK, bringing Irish friends with them first to Liverpool and then further North where they settled forming strong Irish mining family communities.
Even though the pits are long gone the tightly knit communities still exist and are as strong as they ever were as the Irish spirit is eternal..

Great shots! Would really love to visit that beach at the foot of Mweelrea and the mouth of Killary Harbour, looks like a nice camping spot.
